I walked over the water, freezing it with each step. I could see the eyes of the electric kid moving slow, trying to follow me. His expression still had that stupid, “Ha!” From earlier, that annoyed me oh so very much.

I concentrated on the kid and levitated him to the front of the fireball that his pathetic friend hurled at me just moments ago. If this was anything but time magic, I could’ve sworn I saw him tremble. What a delight.

I held my hand out and above the fire kid formed a giant puddle of water that will have him drenched from head to toe. Now, what will happen when electricity touches water? Well let us find out in a few moments shall we.

I stepped back into the aisle to hover a bunch of books over the white haired guy but...where is he? I rose upon another ice pillar and scanned the aisles of the bookshelves. He’s not here? Did he run?

I tilted my head, dodging a long silver needle just barely missing my beautiful face. How’d he break free from the time zone? Something like this should have been leagues above a couple of first years.

My eyes widened, I could hear a few more needles spearing towards me. I looked to my right and left—.

They were shooting at me from both directions?!

I lowered my pillar a few inches, the needles colliding with each other just a hair above my head.

Is there multiple people...no there’s only one. I could sense the disruption of mana in the size of a singular person. It’s fast, much too fa—.

From above and below? How is he able to move so quickly? I manipulated all the mana in this area, he at least shouldn’t be able to move normally until the tenth floor. I weaved my arms in a circle, visualizing a roof curved like a moon’s arc through the sky. Ice sprouted from the ground, domed in the pillar I stood on, and enclosing me once again into a dark space.

The needles bounced off the walls it seemed. I guess they were just regular pins after all.

I brought three fingers in front of me on both hands. I rose them little by little, picturing clouds gathering over my head.

Now how about some lightning in the midst? Rain dribbled down in a light drizzle, quickly picking up.

I pulled my hands apart and the image of the cloud grew wider.

I began turning my hands outward, slowly bringing them down to my side. With the rain splashing down on everything, I shut one eye, and formed a perfect sphere on top of the dome. An image of the surroundings were being shown to me through the shards of ice. Like a one-way mirror where I could see all around me.

A mini lightning storm hovered over every bookshelf.

I swiftly slashed one of my hands down and a thick bolt struck the rows of wooden bookshelves, a large fire igniting at its wake.

Where is he?! I am starting to lose the little patience I had for these pieces of human waste. Just then, for a split moment, I saw one of the shards of glass turn completely black. So that’s what it is!

I figured it out, but it took too long. I could feel my hair thinning each second. Through the reflection of the ice, I saw traces of grey hair on top of my head, my dark hair growing lighter as I stared.

Sigh, magic side effects sucks.

Well, at least I knew what the cheeky bastard had up his sleeve. Who would’ve known that he was the shadow wielder...
