"Why did I even get my hopes up"

After coming downstairs Kara had a sour expression on her face. She didn't know what to do anymore.

"Why is he still sleeping? doesn't he know what condition we are in?"

Unable to take anymore, the girl went to her brother's room .Only to find the room empty.

Seeing that he was not in the room, Lara panicked and start shouting"Reid! REID! Where you?"she went downstairs and check the rooms on the ground floor only to find it empty.

'Where the hell did that dumbass went?", as Kara was getting distressed over it, the front door opened and standing on the other side of the door was Reid , holding a bucket in his hands in which what seems to be like fruits were stuffed.

Kara's face twitched a little.

"I told you to stay put.......... i told you to not go outside.."

"I...I know but you see there we..were these...these fruits you see.."

"I think I told you to not go outside and stay put, but you just disobeyed my order and went outside just for some food..... if you wanted to eat something just go to the kitchen...............................*blah*blah*"

"Yes Oni....Onee-chan"

"If you get it then go and bath , you smell", she was really angry, even though she is a pervert but she has a responsible side to her as well.

"I h...have already pre....prepared the breakfast!! now I....I am going" Reid went upstairs to bath while having his head down.

While eating her breakfast she thought 'This stupid! what happens is wild animals were out there and he went close to a food source at that..... its good he doesn't had any encounters....... i gotta train this dickhead.

Due to the incident Kara was full on dependable mode... she knew that it isn't time to be fooling around and that it only isn't her who is stranded. She need to keep her head cool and don't show troubled expression in front of Reid.

'first i gotta check this area thoroughly and with some defensive weapons at that, I don't know in what type of jungle are we or what are its flora and fauna...!"

'I am gonna take Reid with me too, then he can have a better understanding of the place we are in'

While she was thinking that Reid came down.

"I...I have showered oni...Onee-chan"

"Stop with the Onee-chan right now, I am not in the mood."

"O....Ok oni...Onee-chan"

"Whatever!! just listen we are going to go outside and check the surrounding area, i already need to check where the electricity and the water is coming from after checking that we are going to go outside."

"And thanks for the breakfast , well where is the fruit that you brought?"

After rummaging through the kitchen Reid found the fruits and gave it to Kara..

"Are these things edible?"

"Ye...yeah! I saw a wolfman eat it....."

*sigh*"I told you to stay indoors but I guess the disturbance has caused some damage in your brain, next time you see a wolf just run......."

'Wolfman! does he thinks this is a horror movie?'

Thinking that, Kara teleported from the kitchen and went to check the pipes and cable......and all she found that the pipe is cut even the cables are cleanly cut..... but somehow everything is running fine.

"Are we really in some horror film?"

Not wanting to give it anymore thought , teleported back to the kitchen.

"There is definetly something wierd going on, welll!! that's a talk for later, for now we need to go and check the surrounding forest."

"And also tell me where did you find your wolfman."*sarcasm*

"O...Ok!"

After giving Reid his orders , Kara went and took out her mother's beloved knife set, which contained a total of 7 knife of varying sizes.

"Let's go....and stay behind me at all times, don't wander around."

This time she didn't teleported and got out of the house the classic way, as Reid can't teleport. The first time she checked the surroundings she mostly used teleportation.

"so where did you find the tree?"

"I .....I found it this way."

'There's an animal trail here.... this stupid could have become food for some animal'

"Th....there it is."

What Kara saw was some animals scribbling around the tree, probably in search for some fruits. But when she got close to the tree what she found was..................."WOLFMAN!!" in her bewilderment she shouted that aloud, collecting the attention of all the Kobolds.

Seeing Kara and Reid , the wolfman started howling and running towards them.

Reid being Reid panicked and he hid behind Kara.

Still in her stupor Kara didn't notice the cowering Reid and tried to teleport away....but was unable to because another psychic was holding her down and she couldn't teleport 2 people at once.

Seenig the approaching enemy and unable to run away. Kara calmed down and took out her mom's knife set.

As there were 12 wolfman... she first threw the flying knifes in the throat of the first 7 wolfman... and using her psychic powers forced down the other 5, she could only lift upto 3 people at most and controlling 7 knifes took a lot of mental power and also stopping 5 wolfman at that wasn't easy enough .

When the knifes sturck the first 7 wolfmen. And the other wolfman feeling something forcing themselves back... they got scared and without a moment of hesitation ran away.

Seeing the wolfman are far enough Kara said "Quick! we need to return to the house!!"

Reid can see how scared Kara was, and following her lead he too ran away as fast as possible.

'This doesn't seem to be earth........... what the heck is happening ?'

After reaching her house Kara locked the door tightly..... she even forget to retrieve her mom's knife set.

She just sat down on the side of the door and started thinking various possibilities..... but she can't find any likely possibility except they are in a different world.

Always living a sheltered life she hasn't face any difficult conditions.... even the ball crunching case was solved by her fathers connections in the government. she was in stupor then remembering about Reid, she looked up only to find him not there.

As she was going to shout his name ..... he came from the kitchen with the same pale face and weak attitude as always... it didn't even looked that he was scared before.

"Drink this.", said Reid with a wierd smile on his face. But she knew he was worried for her so she didn't questioned him of his weird behaviour and just drank the given HOT COCO.

After calming down. She ordered Reid to not go out at any condition... she alone will check the surroundings and if anything happens during scouting, she will teleport back to the house. Reid just replied by shaking his head.

After resting for the remaining day. The next day, she went alone this time, to the tree where the incident happened. seeing that the knifes are still lodged in the throat of the wolf she recovered them and put them in the bag.

Knowing that the corpses can poison the area if left alone she started piling them up in a her brothers toy cart and took them to her house...... during this whole time she didn't encounter any other creatures, maybe the smell of death may have kept the animals away.

Reaching home" Reid come here!!", the weak timid boy came and seeing the corpses flinched.

"Go and bury them in the backyard i will bring some seeds of the fruit tree..... if we are going to stay here we need a fresh source of food and you can't go outside so we are going to grow our own food.................... and i will hunt some animals for eating too, until the tree is big enough to bear fruit.......... and cut all the decoration plants in the garden too..... we don't need them anymore."

"Yes oni....Onee-chan"

"And you can find the tools in the basement."

'If we need to survive here , we need to work together....at least we need to train on self defense and hunting techniques...... and the first aid will probably have medicines that can last for 4 years .so i don't need to worry about the time he gets ill'

The pervert in Kara was dying.... her world was turned upside down and all that stress was making her what she hated most.....Her Dad!!!
