After choosing the cheatskill, Bob was instantly transferred to the Game World. The transferring process was complicated because it had to be performed on soul level, so Bob had to wait one hour or two in complete darkness.
Bob thought about many different things. He recalled his life on Earth, and it was just a normal life like many others. He grew up in a normal family with both parents working office jobs, graduated from a normal highschool at the age of 18 and was just entered college when the accident claimed his life. Right now, he missed his family a lot and felt bad for leaving them suddenly, but he was already dead, so there was nothing he could do about it. However, Bob still had one more regret, the one thing he wanted to do so badly but couldn’t.
A confession.
Lucy, his childhood friend, looked so damn sexy and gorgeous in her pink dress at the graduation prom night.
Bob sighed.
The transferring process completed.
Bob opened his eyes, saw a world of color.
A cold sweat broke out from his forehead.
W-what the hell is this!?
The people in that Game World... they looked like some characters drawn by a mentally retarded anime artist.

It's 90% canon - there's probably a bit of a difference between how some characters and common behaviour are portrayed here and how they'll come out in the main story. Set two years before the events that kick-start the main series, it features some of the secondary/peripheral characters of the Infinite Labyrinth and will tell you all about the basic mechanics of the Labyrinth's RPG system. It can be considered a spoiler, as the characters in the Infinite Labyrinth are going to need to figure out all that, on their own. But if you like a much deeper exposition in the mechanics, here it is. The entire prequel is about 80 pages long.
