Issac stood still and kept looking at her with disbelief. He glanced at the mask on the ground that she wore and then back at her face. Yes, she is the killer; she had killed those scientists and had made a fool of Issac and the Police department. She had exploited Issac and played with his emotions, just when Issac was coming over to the bright side of life, just when he had decided to fix himself up because of her influence.

She had plunged him back to where he was a few days ago. He couldn’t believe his eyes but right now he needed to get his shit together and act as a detective. He had to keep his emotions aside, but he was still a human and he wanted to know why Anna would toy with him and why she killed those scientists. He held the two-way radio in his hand thinking of what he should do next, should he call it in and put her in jail or should he wake her up and be mad at her for breaking his trust.

He starts walking left and right thinking what to do next, as he is walking Anna wakes up and tries to get up only to realize that she is tied to the chair. Issac notices her move and with rage in his eyes moves towards her and screams, “Why the FUCK did you do this? For once...didn’t you think about the trust I had in you? I want to kill you with my own hands...but what difference would remain between us then?”

Seeing him in rage and anguish she replies, “I’m sorry Issac...but it was the only way...I had to kill them or else...or else-” he cuts her off and screams, “Or else what? Please...tell me why the fuck did you kill them...tell me why it had to be you and not anyone else?” Before she could give him any answer her watch starts beeping, after three beeps the watch speaks, “Last scientist found, Dr. Mia Sousa is near Hawkesbay harbor location saved on map.”

Anna looks at Issac and he says, “Oh so you just couldn’t wait for this thing to tell you the location and chose to fall into my trap. Not so professional now are you?” Anna has had enough of this and finally shouts in anger, “You don’t have a fucking clue what is going on, and yes I fucking killed the scientists because they were going to fuck this place up...I am not from this world Issac, I am from a different universe. Trust me...I don’t have much time here and I need to end the last scientist or else...or else she might tell Reed what happened here, If there is no one left...they might just leave this universe alone for some time.”

Issac listens to her and starts laughing like a maniac, “You are crazy aren’t you, I mean yes you can teleport but time travel...no fucking way...and who the fuck is Reed?” Anna starts pleading to Issac to believe her but he thinks she is completely nuts.

“I think we should take you to the mental asylum instead of the jail, maybe the court will reduce your sentence since you are mad; so things aren’t that bad for you yet.” All seems lost to Anna when she remembers something, “How could I forget something like this!” she says to herself and looks at him, “Issac...what is in your left pocket?” Issac puts his hand in his pocket and takes out the brooch that belonged to Mary.

“It’s Mary’s brooch...what about it?” Issac asks her to which she replies rapidly, “Come here and look what I have in my right pocket!” Issac cautiously reaches her and puts his hand in her pocket. He feels something pointy and when he takes it out it’s the same brooch that he has. “So...you could’ve made a fake double of this. This doesn’t prove anything!”

Anna replies in a confident manner, “Look underneath both the brooches, you’ll find the same letters M.M. they stand for Maya Maximus. That’s the name of Mary’s mother isn’t it? But you never told this to me and never showed me the brooch. The reality is that the brooch always belongs to Mary whatever universe she is from. Issac...I am the daughter of Mary...but not your Mary...a Mary from a different universe. I was sent here by her to stop my brother’s project. The scientists were sent by Reed Maximus, they were here to complete the diagnosis of this universe and report back to him so that he can start fucking around with this place.”

“But mom...I mean Mary asked me to stop them. This universe is too important and must not be meddled with. Look...all I’m asking you is to trust me. After all that has happened, I know it feels stupid to trust me but please! Come with me to meet Dr. Mia, I promise she will tell you the same things I have told you and I will also know more of Reed’s plans. Please Issac! I beg you! Trust me this once! Don’t call HQ...Please!”

Issac shakes his head and says, “What the fuck do I do...what the fuck...” he takes a deep breath and moves towards Anna. “Alright, I’ll give you this one chance, let’s meet the scientist. Here’s a thing though...I’ll be taking that killing device you used on the previous poor soul, that thing that drove her mad and I won’t allow you to kill her!” he says to her as he takes the chronoton destabilizer from her pocket and unties her from the chair.

Anna asks Issac to hold her hand and she teleports to Hawkesbay Harbor. It’s his first time so when they both teleport to the harbor, he feels nauseous and is in shock. He starts spinning while holding his head. Anna holds his arms to keep him from falling. After a few seconds Issac comes back to his senses and asks Anna to lead on. The scientist is hiding in an old abandoned amusement park.

Anna and Issac move carefully through the park and when the signal of the scientist is strong Anna looks at her watch and then at an old bumper car control room.

“I think I know where she is hiding, look at the control room; let’s go inside.” Anna says and he follows her to the control room. Anna sees Dr. Mia and shouts, “Stop what you are doing right now Mia! Put your hands up in the air and turn around slowly!”

Mia turns around with her hands in the air, looks at Anna and gets startled; after she has overcome her nervousness she says, “YOU were the killer all along Anna? I can’t even imagine it...Reed will be torn apart if he knows!” Anna looks at her and says, “I can ask you the same things, how could you agree on fucking up this universe? Don’t you know what it can cause? It can fuck up not only your life but also the people who are connected to you! You aren’t telling anything to Reed I’m afraid...I’ll end you before you get a chance to report back to him!”

Issac silently listens to their conversation and comes to the conclusion that Anna was indeed telling him the truth. He feels a bit relaxed and even little happy; but different worlds, Mary of other universe and Anna being her daughter, he still cannot believe those things. Having heard enough he decides to intervene and says, “Alright enough chatting, time to cuff you up Mia!”

Mia starts laughing at Issac and says, “What are you arresting me for? Traveling in time, trying to destroy your world? You sure the court will sentence me for a life in prison for those crimes?”

Anna shouts at Issac, “Issac give me the device which you took me from, we cannot let her escape to my universe!” Issac shakes his head and says, “I’m not letting you kill her Anna...not again!”

Mia presses a button on her watch as they both are arguing and a sudden flash of light blinds them both. Issac and Anna are stunned and Anna starts screaming, “No...No...Fuck...No...It’s all over damn it! Issac, you are responsible for this!” She feels a gust of air and the ground shake, “Oh Fuck! She is teleporting back...I’m so screwed!” Anna says to herself.

Moments later Anna and Issac’s blindness ends and they are shocked to see Mia dead on the ground. A man in all black clothes is standing next to her. Issac quickly takes out his gun and says, “Freeze! Put your hands in the air!” The man in black is wearing a face mask and strange goggles, he looks at Anna and in a robotic voice says, “Issac nearly fucked everything again today...don’t worry he is still important!”

Confused by his presence Anna asks, “Who...are you?” The man looks at Issac and says, “Call me Overseer and whatever she told you is the truth Issac...her work here is done. Reed won’t bother sending any teams here; you are a very important man Issac. You must remember that always!”

He then turns to Anna and says, “Take him with you; he is a solution to many problems. He is the first Void after all and he is the key to end all this. I will guide you again soon. What has happened before should not happen again! It will not happen again!”

Saying this the strange man decides to take a leave and starts operating his watch, Issac sees this and says, “Don’t you fucking teleport out of here, you are under arrest for the murder of the scientist!” The strange man isn’t bothered by what Issac is saying to him and decides to teleport. As the ground starts to shake and gusts of air starts flowing Issac shoots him three times but nothing happens to him. He starts laughing and says, “Ironic, you are the only one who can end me, but you cannot...not yet anyways!” and vanishes in thin air.

Anna is in her thoughts going over the words spoken by the strange man. “What the fuck, who was that man?” Issac asks Anna. “I don’t know, but the things he said, he knew that this would happen...he came out of nowhere and killed Mia to keep my cover intact.” saying this she scans Issac with her watch and sees that he indeed is important. Issac’s chronoton strength is also ‘∞’.

“Issac...you have to come with me to my universe, you heard that man. You are important! I promise I’ll explain everything to you once we reach there!”

Issac makes a weird face and replies, “I can’t leave this world just like that, this is my home...I mean yea it’s fucked up but still...home is home!” Anna doesn’t seem to care about that and enters the destination of her universe on her watch. She quickly holds his hand and before Issac can react they both are teleported to her universe.
