《I Am The World》Prologue

"They've begun to move."
A gravelly voice echoed throughout the dark room. One could make out the fact that this was a huge room from the echo.
"Huh."
A deep booming voice replied to it.
"Maybe we should go ahead with our plan, then."
A voice that sounded sweet, yet sent chills down the back, sounded out. Emotions were completely absent in the voice.
"Yes." The booming voice decided.
"But my lord..." The gravelly voice seemed hesitant.
"Hmm?" The booming voice sounded slightly displeased. "You have any objections?"
"Y-yes, my lord." The gravelly voice shook a little, seemingly afraid of the booming voice. "A whole planet... wouldn't the disappearance alert them?"
"You have a point," The booming voice mused. "You know what? Send a message, and those who didn't consent, wipe them."
"Yes, my lord!" The gravelly voice sounded excited. "I'll go do it right now!"
"While you're on it," the booming voice added, "Do that with every planet."
"B-but, my lord... none of the others have reached the minimum required technology yet... only this one..."
"Do it." The tone of the man with the booming voice turned sharp. It was as if his order was unquestionable, the words exerting immense pressure on the one with the gravelly voice.
"Y-y-yes, my lord. I shall obey." Footsteps echoed, after which the creaking of a door opening and closing sounded, following by a resounding BOOM! as the door shut, leaving behind a resounding echo.
"Remind me to get sound dampeners on the walls." The booming voice grumbled.
"Yes, Master." The emotionless voice was emotionless.
As the gravelly man walked to a room at the very end of the corridor, he looked through the files in front of him.

'Hah! Who knew that although Stevlsra was the top in technology, they weren't even the tenth place in culture? Comprising solely of extremely intelligent warlike race must be hard for Stevlsra. The top seems to be the world in the third place, Earth? Hmm... true that, whether it be novels, anime, cartoons, or TV, they're at the pinnacle of culture out of the 127 sapient worlds.'
As he mused to himself, he walked into the room and shut the door behind him. Being scolded for not doing that until you were within an inch of death seemed to be quite... memorable.
As he walked forward, the faint light from the screens ahead reflected off his face, showing off his sharply defined features. A squarish jaw, a thick neck, and square glasses on his nose, he looked like a buff scholar.
"If you don't get the Space-Time Inversion Law, I'll beat it into you until you get it."
These lines seem to perfectly represent the man in question.
"It's time. All worlds, question, no consent - wipe."
These concise words would've been the nightmares of any engineer, yet the man sitting on a chair in front of the screens simply nodded. "Roger."
A few taps later, the screens lit up, and the World Games began.

Bon Week-end
He runs the underground. She’s made it her playground. Their time together--the stuff of pulp fiction. When a corrupt corporate conspiracy threatens to tear them apart, they blast back with their offbeat brand of crime and chaos. This story is just one from the pulps. Film critic Roger Ebert once described them as ‘cheap, disposable entertainment that you could take to work with you, and roll up and stick in your back pocket.’ So do just that--and read it on the weekend. Bon Week-end is a novel written in the tradition of Jean-Patrick Manchette’s neo-polar, existing now as what shall be known as the neo-serial. This is Nippoten’s second serial following the superhero epic Entirely Presenting You. This novel will have a rather unique release schedule compared to others. Life, the struggle for existence
What would happen when man had to, once again, fight for its own right to live? Would the evolutionary counterparts of our ancestors manage to life through the struggle for survival? What would happen to society if a new reason for living came up, other than the enjoyment of the well-built environment? A reason that could either unite or destroy humanity. This is the struggle for their right of existence. As earth and its inhabitants are faced with the fear of unknown danger and the peril of monstrosities, some will falter, some will die and some will live on to tell the tales of those forgotten. As reality dictates, most will be part of the first two groups and only a small faction will be part of the latter. *This is my first attempt at writing fantasy, so I do hope you’ll enjoy it. The story is one of apocalyptic nature, with gigantic monsters, unfathomable powers and also a critial view on humanity and what it means to be human. I will definitely try to stay away from any tropes that are not neccesary to write fantasy, as I thoroughly despise non-creativity. There shall be no harems, no unrealistic behavior and absolutely no standard scene of dimwitted bandits that try to rob whatever similarly rock-brained princess they encounter. The main character is not black and white, because no human is completely good or completely evil. They’re human, not some idealistic concept of what one is supposed to be. Enjoy!Warning: Tagged 17+ for the occasional strong language and violence, some mild sexual content can occur in the distant future.
