Chapter 1
James got off the bus. As he looked in front of him, he saw and old Victorian building. It was the main building of a prestigious high school for girls. Mountain High school was an elite school where all the rich and famous people send their girls to school.
James did not know why his sister asked him to come over to her new employer. James walked in to the school yard. After a few steps a lady come over. Dear sir, can I help you. I believe you have gotten of at the wrong stop." James just looked up at the lady and gave her the invitation his sister gave him. The lady took the invitation and looked at it. After confirming that the invasion was real, she gave it back.
“Please sir will you follow me. James followed the lady. After a sort walk, they come to the entrance of the Victorian building. As James entered the building, at witch time lady how escorted him too the building left. James walked to the front counter and gave the young lady behind the invitation.
She took the invasions placed in to a card reader. “Young man just follow the hall all the why down to the board room of the school. Your sister is waiting for you.”
James followed the hallway till he saw a sign saying boardroom. James nocked on the door and entered. As James entered the room, he noticed that not only was his sister there but quite a few other ladies as well. James introduced himself and stood next to his sister. All the ladies in the room looked at James. “Crystal is this the expert you told me about?” “Yes, headmaster it is him.”
At that moment the board room door open. A lady wearing a designer work suit entered the room. She had long blue hair, an athletic body and just the right number of curves on all the right places. She looked over the room. When her gaze fell on James she stopped for a moment before moveding on. She was part of the empire. The empire was a mix of different alien races how concord earth two years ago.
She took a seat at the head of the boardroom table. “Alright Ladies and gent, lets start the meeting.” Her assistant handed out some papers to people in the boardroom. James started reading the papers. After every one went throw the papers they started talking.

“What is this game, that we have to participate in?”” How does the game work?”” What type of game is this?” Was just a few of the questions that came out. The ladies started discussing the topic of the game.
As James was listening, he got a cold chill down his back. Do they even know how to analyse a new game? James thought to himself. James could not lesson to them anymore.
Ladies you are going about this the wrong way. James try to speak. One of the ladies looked up. “Keep quiet, when we need you, we will ask for your opinion.” James looked at the lady. “Fuck this I’m not wasting my time with these idiots. Sister” He took he backpake and started to move to the door.
The room went quite after hearing James words. The ladies were shocked. One of the ladies got her composure back. “How do you think you are calling us idiots.” James looked at her.” You are idiots trying to analyse a game but have no clue where to start and where to end. My sister asked attended this meeting so I could help you people. But you people believe that you are smart enough to do it on your own, so why am I here?”
“James, I believe that is your name?” “Yes, my lady” James answered. “Calm down and give us your take on the game.” James looked at her, walked back to his sister and placed his backpake on the ground.
“Ok people. The papers we got only gives us a few hints of what the game is about. They stated that there will be monsters, demons and undead in the game. The game will have a guild system, a vibrant PVP system and some city building. The game will all so be a VR game. From this we can conclude that it will be a type of RPG and not dungeon crawler.” The headmaster as James what RPG means.
“RPG means Role Playing Game. It is a game where player take on roles like a adventurer, black smith or shop owner and play as them. The reason why I feel confident that the game is an RPG and not a dungeon crawler is that it would be hard to build a guild and city building system in to a dungeon crawler, also the game will be a VR game. The game setting would most probably a fantasy world, due the type of monster in it.” James went throw every hind and explain what he thought it meant.

The headmaster thanked James and ask him if could give them any advice how to proceed next. James thought for a while.
“Firstly, you need to find out if there is any more info out there. Secondly, When the game will start. Thirdly, how the tech works that rans the game. For example, does the game use predetirement skills or does the game work with the skill of the player. If you can answer these three points you would have great lead on people how does not know them.”
James contained to explain why these three points where so importuned after one of the ladies asked him. Lidia the alien lady asked James to wait outside the room for a bit. James acknowledged and stood out side the room.
“Crystal how is this person James, I know he is your brother but what makes him an expert on games.”
Crystal explained that her brother was one of the top gaming professionals in the country. That he did not play in the major leagues but for the under-ground leagues where the money was better.
After about half an hour the boardroom door opened. James was invited back in to the room. James entered the and noticed that the headmaster was standing next to Lidia.
Lidia looked at James and asked him to join their faction in the game.” If you join hour faction, I’m sure that it would bring great reputation to our school and district.” James showed three fingers at the ladies in the room. “I have tree condition before I join. Firstly, I will be compensated for my lost wages. Secondly, I take full control of the faction and lastly, no one interfere with the way I do things. “James looked at the ladies and stated that these three conditions were not negotiable.”
James could see that some of the ladies in the room were not happy with the conditions. When no one answered James, he took his briefcase and made his way to the door. Lidia ask James to wait for a second. “James I can agree with term one and three but not with the second term.” She stated that the faction had to be under the control of the school’s board.
James stated that it was a pity, bowed and made his way out of the room. As James made it to the end of the hall way, Lidia’s assistant came running down the hall way and told him that Lidia wanted to speak to him. James returned to the room. Lidia told him to just wait at the door. She thanked the ladies. James saw how most of the ladies left the room.
It was just James, Lidia, the headmaster and his sister crystal in the room. Lidia looked at James and asked him how he think he is. “I gave you a good opportunity, and you throw it back in to my face.” James apologised to Lidia. I will not be controlled or restricted by any person or body in a game.
Lidia looked at James. Thought for a wail. Ok I will and over the control of the faction to you. But you must meet the goals that we set out for you every 6 months or else I will take back the control and hand it over to the board.
James thought about it. “After you give me the goals for the first, second and third 6months terms, I will give you my answer”. Lidia just nodded. James took his backpake and left the room.
Lidia looked at crystal. “Sorry to say, but your brother is am asshole.” Crystal looked at Lidia. “You don’t know how big and asshole he really is, but he is the best at what he does.” The ladies left in the room all started to laugh.

The Kodoku Game
In Japanese folklore, there once existed an ancient technique among alchemists for harvesting the strongest poison known to man. A poison so vicious, so horrendous, that a single drop could incapacitate an entire nation of humans, several times over. A poison so intense that a single drop could turn the tides of a war on its head. As potent as it appeared however, this poison could be harvested from the blood of a single insect alone- an insect the alchemist’s called the ‘Kodoku’. As lucrative as was attaining this poison however, the problem lied in identifying this insect- its appearance, shape and size changed from region to region and from continent to continent. Sometimes it took the appearance of a ladybug and other times a horned-beetle. In order to determine the identity of this special insect the alchemists came up with an ingenious method. They created an impregnable jar of clay out of the best sandstone they could find and placed hundreds of different insects into the same jar. The jar was made with such great mastery that it allowed no insects to escape and allowed no objects to enter. The laws of nature dictated that the insects would remain together in the jar forever. However, it turned out that as time went on, the insects’ hunger for food and power caused them to turn against each other- one insect ate another until only one remained. This sole insect contained a poison that far surpassed that of all the others and became stronger as it ate more and more insects. The alchemists at this point had succeeded in identifying the Kodoku and could extract it’s poison as long as they continued to feed it regularly. Although this folklore ends here, the actual story does not. One day, as the alchemists cheered in joy of having identified the Kodoku they so eagerly wanted, they forgot to close the lid on the very jar that was considered to be completely impregnable. This small gap was just large enough for the Kodoku inside to crawl out. Famished from not having been fed for weeks, the Kodoku ended up eating the very alchemists that nourished its growth until not even the bones remained. Yet, the Kodoku’s hunger didn’t seem to subside in the slightest. So it traveled to the next village and began eating whatever it could find there. Its poison made it unparalleled in strength and slowly but surely it began to dwindle down the population of the entire city. Yet its hunger only continued to grow. So it traveled to the next city over and ate all it could there. Very soon, the Kodoku couldn’t find any more food to eat. There was no one left to eat and no one left to spectate. So it stood there, by itself pondering what possibly was left to eat that could satiate its hunger. But there was one thing left that Kodoku realized it had never eaten. Itself.
