《Fate/Survivor》03-Akira's Suspicion

Akira’s POV,
Day two of the war ended with my declaration of war over everyone. I know it was quite a stupid move but…Something inside my heart burnt at the time lancer attacked Eva.
“Akira, are you awake?” Eva asks me as she walks in the living room.
“Yeah, what’s up Eva?” I reply to her with a question. Eva takes a sits down on the couch in front of me.
“I wanted to ask you something.” Eva says to me with her hands clenched near her chest. “Sure, go ahead!” I say to her without hesitation.
“About what you said back the rooftop, that the servants are not true heroes…What did you mean by that?” Eva asks with a very curious look in her eyes.
“Tell me, this Holy Grail thingy. It grants the servants their wish too, right?” I ask to Eva. Eva nods with a yes.
“You see…These servants, they are known as heroes for a reason. Aren’t they?” I say to Eva. Eva looked puzzled by my sentence.
“I think so, each of these servants…They want to change a mistake they did in the past.” I raise my right hand in the air with my palm open. “But, have you ever thought that due to this correction of mistake the world we see today may change forever?” I ask Eva as I close my palm.
“What?!” Eva looked even more puzzled with my question. “I can see that the world still is not that of a better place but if history changes it may get a better place or who knows things might even turn out to be really bad for the world we know today.” I smile. “That is why Eva, servants…They shouldn’t have any wish because they the heroes mankind knows, worship and get their inspiration from. Just imagine if one of your own inspirations was the reason the whole world changed. How would you feel?” I ask Eva.

“I see…Hey Akira, thanks for sharing your thoughts with me.” Eva’s head tilted and she smiled. “Well, I will be going to bed now. You should rest too.” Eva said to me as she made her way towards her room.
“Eva!” I call out for Eva. “What?!” She turns around and asks me. “Why do you want to win the Holy Grail war?” I ask Eva.
“Because…The economy rate of my country is dropping. People are dying and they are all blaming my father for it…So if anything, I want to win the Holy Grail for money you could say…So I can help the people of my country.” Eva’s face saddens as she replies to me.
I smile, “Cool! Then I will always be by your side until the end of the war.” I say to Eva. A little smile appeared on her face even for if it was just for a minor second. “I have to go to school tomorrow so I need to sleep. Please look over me.” She says to me as she leaves the room.
“When you grow up, I want you to participate in a war against a very special cup little one.” An old man pats my head. “What Cup you old geezer?!” I ask the old man with my hands folded. “It’s called…The Holy Grail….”
The voice echoed in my ears as I wake up on the couch I was sleeping yesterday night. “Damn! What was that dream? It definitely wasn’t any normal dream, maybe some kind of memory from the past?”
Day two begins,
I didn’t say anything about my dream to Eva. Both of us were walking to the school again.
As soon as took a step inside the school campus, I felt it again. That strange energy I felt yesterday. As I felt that energy Rin Tohsaka passed by me.

Through what Eva said to me, Servants can hide their presence against her because she can’t see them but only feel them. As for me I am able to see any servants at any time because I am a servant.
I decided to keep an eye on Rin. At lunch break, I followed her around but I saw nothing out of ordinary but the presence was still there. Pretty much the whole day I saw Rin around she acted pretty normally. Finally, school ended and Eva and I begin to walk back home.
“What’s the matter?” Eva asks me as we walk back home. “What can you tell me about Rin Tohsaka, Eva?” I reply Eva with another question. “Well, she is quite popular and what not. You know those typical popular rich girls.” Eva replies to me.
“You mean like you.” I mocked Eva with a grin. “I am not like her.” Eva clenched her fist as she showed an angry tone. “But what about her?” Eva asks me.
“I have been feeling this strange presence around Rin.” I reply to Eva as I tickle my chin with my hand. “No way, Rin can be a Master.” Eva shakes off her hand as she says it to me.
“You seem like a worthy opponent to fight!” I hear a girl’s voice from behind me. I turn behind and see a dark aura surrounding a girl in black dress with her mouth cover with a part of that black dress. She also had a red spear as she walked towards us.
“You are the servant, who sent out a challenge, aren’t you Akira?” The girl asks me.

Gaming isn't a way of life. With reality reduced to rubble and ash after a nuclear war, these fictional worlds of entertainment now serve as reality to many survivors. And, amidst all the addicts and try-hards, one person rises to the top with ease. Known as Hiiro, Henry Johnson is infamous for quickly dominating every game that hits the market, and departing from them even more quickly. It's no surprise when he's offered a chance to beta the world's first VRMMORPg: The Myth of Men. But is there something sinister hidden underneath the facade of what promises to be a fun game? Please note: the below is true, but due to my continued haitus, it's on the failed pledge list as of now with my other series. This fiction is signed under the 'The Pledge'... Some internet message in a forum about not dropping or giving a rushed ending in their fiction, otherwise meet the wrath of letting RRL mod Vocaloid have 'fun' with the fiction's description. So mainly for the sake of my fiction due to said wrath, I'll see this fiction through. Credit for winRoot for doing my commissions. Mature language: 15+...
