Back in the present, Angel's friends have just been hit with two of Exceilots daggers, who then lets them fall to the ground. "Exceilot! You will pay!" Angel shouts as she opens her gauntlet, once again revealing the bright angelic light that she released earlier before. Exceilot smiles with an expression of confidence that Angel's weapon won't be able to trump her own gauntlet ability. Exceilot then activates her gauntlet ability, releasing the red mist from before.

"If you think you can beat me, then give it a shot, however because you also wield a gauntlet, don't expect me to be holding back" Exceilot says with a wide smile. Without thinking twice or even reacting to Exceilot's words, Angel releases a blast of yellow light in Exceilot's direction, the light moving so incredibly fast that Exceilot just barely dodges it, and in turn receives a small cut on her cheek.

"It was quite obvious what your gauntlet did from the light emitting from it, but I must say i'm impressed. That light was so fast I didn't have time to stop it." Exceilot compliments Angel. Angel breathes heavily, leaving her gauntlet active, giving Exceilot no chance to counter attack what so ever. "I don't need praise from somebody like you, you hurt people for no reason, deep down in your mind I can't imagine how you could ever think of yourself as human." Angel says to Exceilot through her deep breathes, and an unwavering expression of rage across her face.

"I assure you, I am still very much human, just like the rest of you. I have a name, skin, an lastly I have something that not every human is blessed with...A smart mind. I guess I will drop the facade as you seem to be a worthy opponent. My true name is Lily Hatanaka, I come from the city of Kilios, and I am a Rogue, through and through. I didn't ask any of you to understand my choices, all that matters now, is which one of us leaves this battlefield alive." Exceilot formally introduces herself as she lets her hair down, and takes up two rapiers she had sheathed behind her waist.

"Can I make a deal with you? If I win this fight then you will tell me your motivation for betraying the human race the way you have, sound good to you?" Angel proposes.

"There is no reason for me to make a deal with you, but if it makes you happy to believe that you are walking away from here alive then so be it!" Exceilot shouts as she rushes torward Angel at fast speed.

Angel is quick to sprint to her left, circling around Exceilot and firing multiple light bullets in her direction. In a swift motion Exceilot stops all the light bullets, leaving time for her to dodge out of the way, following up with her own weapons. Angel clashes with Exceilot's rapiers, struggling to compete with her fighting style of constant jabs torward her throat and stomach. "What's the matter can't fight up close?!" Exceilot taunts, continuing to jab Angel, giving her no room to fight back. Angel lets loose another light wave like earlier, blinding all in it except for herself, before she can strike however, Exceilot is quick to jump backward.

"That fancy trick again, besides a big flashlight and some harmless bullets what more can that gauntlet of yours do? You really expect to beat me with that?" Exceilot laughs, holding her stomach, gasping for air, extremley amused at the thought of Angel defeating her. "The start of defeat is the underestimating of your opponent!" Angel shouts. Exceilot grins as her gauntlet activates releasing a fast moving red smoke that quickly engulfs the surroundings.

"Earlier you said that I could only freeze one thing at a time! I proved you wrong there, and I am going to further that!" Exceilot states as the red mist starts to spin like a fast moving tornado, getting faster and faster by the second. As the red mist surrounds Angel, she finds it hard to breathe, and smells something that she describes in her mind as "the smell of blood." Moments later Angel begins to cough of blood, putting her hand to her mouth and falling to the floor.

"This is the true power of my gauntlet! It's full potential, you stated moments ago that the start of defeat is underestimating your opponent, looks like you were right!" Exceilot shouts while laughing hysterically. Angels eyes begin to water as she continues bleeding from her mouth, telling herself she might die here, but doesn't fear the thought of it as she was able to by Siyo and the others time. In that moment Exceilot is suddenly stabbed in the back by the very same daggers that she threw into Ren and Yui, causing the tornado of red smoke to dissipate.

"Yo Angel hang in there!" Ren shouts.

"We won't let you die just yet team leader, let's take down this Rogue here and now!" Yui yells.

"Guys...Y-you're the best teammates I could ask for" Angel smiles with tears flowing from her eyes, before falling over and passing out on the floor.

After Angel passes out, Exceilot mocks Yui and Ren, laughing that they were to late to save their leader, but swears revenge for the two stab wounds in her back. "You were never going to win this fight, and Angel is far from dead, it will take much more than this to end our leader! You can bet on it!" Yui claims.

"It can't be helped, there is nothing I hate more than admitting defeat, but I am incapable of fighting after that cheapshot. This may complicate things, but I must bid you farewell now. Tell your leader I enjoyed our fight, and it was much entertaining" Exceilot smiles as she freezes Ren and Yui and runs off in the distance, the two's eyes following her, distraut at the fact they can't avenge the damage done to Angel. About 30 seconds after Exceilot's retreat, the two become unfrozen and fall to their knees, before they can think over the situation, Angel begins coughing once again from behind them, blood still coming from her mouth. In a matter of seconds the two rush to Angel's side. "Hang in there Angel!" The two shouts as they work together to pick her up, one arm each carried by one another.

As the two are walking away, Ren and Yui look at each other with serious faces. "That retreat was sudden, she could of easily froze us both and killed us right there, I doubt she retreated because of her injury" Ren proposes to Yui, who agrees with Ren. Through her coughs and deep breathes Angel attempts to speak, "S-Siyo" Angel mutters. In that moment Yui and Ren both realize that Exceilot is going after Siyo and Sagamie. A few moments before Angel took serious injury, Migro was back at the market, acquiring help from Arus to slow wendy's bleeding.

"Ok this should slow her bleeding, we need to get her to the nurse station at base, At the moment this is as close to a stretcher as we have, so put her on that" Arus says as she points to what looks like a quickly self crafted stretcher, made from common materiels like logs and a flag.

"Right, hang in there Wendy, we are gonna save you" Migro pleads as he looks down at Wendy who is struggling to stay awake. As Migro and Arus approach the entrance to the svail base they explain the situation to the guards, who then let them through the gate. After entering the courtyard, the guards lend a hand in carrying the poorly made stretcher inside. Passing through the hallway, Tohka notices Migro, with Wendy on the stretcher. "Migro?! What happend to Wendy, where is Siyo?!" Tohka asks Migro, worried sick for Siyo's saftey, and Wendy's injuries.

"Angel gave us her teams job so that Siyo could prove her strength as a svail hunter after her blunder in the market the other day. The job was to find Sagamie Lilfolt, they are back there fighting a Rogue captain by the name of Exceilot, but Wendy got shot, Exceilot has a gauntlet ability that can freeze things in place!" Migro explains to Tohka, as they run down the hall, Tohka trying to keep up with Migro while he carries wendy's stretcher. Tohka obviously furious with Angel for allowing Siyo, who lacked any proper training, to go on a mission as important and dangerous as this one.

"Get hunters out there immediately, we must aid them, and for gods sake, keep that girl alive while I'm gone!" Tohka instructs the guards, taking wendy to the nurse station with Arus and Migro. Tohka runs down the hall, grabbing a coat, a sword, and then rolls up her sleeves revealing a gauntlet on her right arm. "Hang in there Siyo, Angel!"

Back at present time, Siyo and Sagamie stand in a dark room, chains attached to the wall, with blood everywhere, and ripped clothing on the chains, Sagamie on her knees in tears, and Siyo behind her unable to say anything. "After I made that promise, she trained everyday with me at that field. We made a great pair, she made me feel wanted, and not like a burden, like how I felt around my mother. Marigold was my everything, she was kind, sometimes overconfident, and most of the time a jokester, but... When she turned 16 this year, she outright told me she was gonna apply to join the svail hunters, and being the stupid girl I was, I begged her not to go until I could sign up as well. I tried to stop her, even after all the training we did, even after I promised her!" Sagamie screams in pain over her own decisions and slams her fist to the floor.

"Sagamie I- I'm not sure what to say, but I know we can't stay here, what Exceilot did was horrible, I will never forgive her for this, but if we stay here things are only going to get worse." Siyo says to Sagamie, a look of anger on her face over Exceilot's actions, and the current state of Sagamie.

"She taught me to use this you know. When she found out I had it, she made me steal it from my mom, and we trained with it a lot. I vowed to myself to rescue her with this gauntlet, to show her just how much I grew with it! And now I can't!" Sagamie explains to Siyo. Suddenly, a dagger is throwing from the darkness right at Sagamie's neck, which Siyo just manages to catch at last second and takes the dagger hit to her arm, to stop it from hitting Sagamie.

"Siyo!" Sagamie shouts.

"I see you found the remnants of that bothersome girl, I knew I'd find you here, you make yourself to obvious, and now that I have you, I will be killing you here!" Exceilot makes clear to Siyo and Sagamie, with a wide grin on her face.

"Exceilot!" Siyo growls through her voice, looking up from Sagamie's arms, who has just pulled the knife out of Siyo's arm, her eyes now glowing bright red, and a bright glow coming from her sword. "S-Siyo?" Sagamie says stunned by what she is seeing. Siyo proceeds to stand up and states to Exceilot that she will make her feel the same pain she inflicted upon both Sagamie and Marigold, tenfold.

"Those eyes, wait, could that be?!" Exceilot shouts in surprise.

Suddenly, Siyo's sword bursts into flames, Siyo grabbing it and dragging it across the floor as she walks torward Exceilot, and while this chain of events was happening, Tohka quickly makes haste to the Rogue territory of the city of Ryke, a worry for Siyo filling her mind.
