《My Story in the Otherworld》Chapter 20

After I burned Viktor's body, I lied down and started to celebrate.
"Fuck yeah!" I was relieved that I did not die and did not even care about Varin a few feet across me trying to speak. It was probably something arrogant so I didn't really care about it.
While laying down, I heard the system notification.
Congratulations for the victory against Illusionist Viktor Cabreis. All reward is given.
Level Up!
Level Up!
Level Up!
Level Up!
...
The annoying ping sound from leveling up kept on going for a couple of minutes and when it ended, I looked at my stats.

'Only 18 levels? I also realized that the system said that I only gained 300,000 EXP from Viktor, but I remember that I gained 500,000 from Belphegor. Navi, what is going on?'
To my surprise, Navi answered my question with a question.
'What would you put higher in your mind as the leader of another country? The general of an army or a lieutenant?'
'Fair enough,' I said back without really anything to say back.

'However, we did give you 3000 gold which is the reward for the illusion puppet that Viktor controls. How-,'
'Oh yeah. 3000 gold, I'm rich!'
'You really have a knack for interrupting people. Let me finish my sentence. However, do not be too happy with that 3000 gold. 3000 gold is not a large amount. Remember when I said that in order for you to upgrade your Katana to Saint Rank, you're going to need to find really rare material. If you sold even one of those material, it might get you over 50 million gold minimum, but those are never on the market so if someone desperately needs those materials, the price can be over 200 million gold,' Navi said as if to laugh at me for thinking I'm rich.
When I heard 50 million, my jaws dropped. Then 200 million gold made me just want to go off myself.
'You tell me to get materials as rare as those. What do you want me to get? Even 20 level 1000 Dragons won't be enough to cover that much money,'
'Hur hur, if you can survive long enough to get to that supreme level, maybe you realize that getting those materials aren't as impossible as you think,' Navi said with a scoff.
'God damn it, let me bask in this little glory that I get from 3000 gold!' I shouted. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
After a couple minutes of rest, I finally got up. I wasn't at my full strength, but it was enough to walk around. I looked at Varin and was battling the angel and devil on my shoulder.
'Just leave him,' The Devil said. 'He's going to be annoying as fuck when you let him go,'

'No, all humans deserve a second chance,' The Angel said. 'Let him go and he'll most likely say thank you,'
Varin was looking at me with an angry face as if he's asking why I haven't freed him yet.
'Look at that ungrateful face. You saved his life and he's still treating your life like dirt as if you sacrificing your life is normal,'
'Just free him,'
In the end, the angel won for the first time in a long time. I untied Varin's ropes and undid gag.
"You commoner, why were you so late on helping me?!" Varin asked in a haughty way.
'Fuck, should've listened to the Devil,' I thought.
"I saved your life from that living monster and you still have the nerves to talk to your savior like that?" I asked him angrily. First, I can't even upgrade my sword properly and now this? I did not have enough patience currently to deal with arrogant bitches.
"Well, I do have to say thank you for you saving me, but I am the son of a Viscount and you are a countryside bumpkin. You commoners have to start to know your places,"
"*Sigh* Your thank you was nice, but everything after that made the entire thing just useless," I said. I just gave up on this guy. Just how can the Duke engage his daughter with a piece of garbage like him.
"You commoner, just stay quiet," Varin said with anger in his tone.
"Yeah, just go home by yourself. I am quite done with you here," I proceeded to leave.
"You're going to leave this noble here?" Varin asked. "As a commoner, it is your duty to escort this noble out of this place!"
"Yeah, you can't make me to anything. If you have any problems, you can contact your daddy and ask him to do something. But I swear to you that if you do, I will take serious measures. Don't say I didn't warn you," I said with a threatening tone while turning my head back and staring at him with evil eyes.
Varin looked like he was quite frightened and did not say anything. I quickly left the abandoned house and tried to find another place to upgrade my sword. When I left the room, I heard a loud scream of anger coming from Varin. I simply smiled since I loved people like him get frustrated.
