《Oublivant》3: Expansionism

I stared at the notifications for a long moment, just taking it in... Crippled? I feel sick, but that's wrong. It couldn't be right. Why would it be? How could it be? It felt... unfair... very unfair. I suddenly disliked the words quite a bit. Considering that it hurt me, I'd say I'm justified in feeling a little hurt. I inspected myself a bit, and found that it was correct about one fact. I felt... empty, and I wasn't filling back up. How could the words do this to me? It crippled me... for fixing myself from being crippled. How cruel... but I still had to rely on the words, so I ignored my feeling of displeasure to inspect my spells again.
Assimilate Object (F+), Assign Champion (D), Dungeon’s Hollow Earth (D) Minor Project Consciousness (B+). Matter Crafting (B+), Create Basic Undead Minion (F), Raise Basic Undead (D-), Necrophagia (B+).
Naturally, I needed to fix my MANA problem. How could I use any spells without MANA when the words would punish me for it? I couldn't, of course, but had to for now... and accept the consequences. I wondered to the words what [Necrophagia] was.
[Notice:]
[Necrophagia, a B+, quite above average, spell, is a spell which allows for the consumption of the deceased without consequences.]

[For DESIGNATION:DUNGEON_OUBLIVANT, this adds the designated object to the dungeon's storage space, where it can be converted into and equivalent amount of lifeforce or raw MANA, or as an ingredient to another spell and/or ritual. The body can be, at any time, ejected from the storage space for physical usage.]
[WARNING:]
[CORE UPKEEP REQUIREMENTS EXCEED MANA REGENERATION. LIFEFORCE SUSTAINING CORE TYPE: NECROTIC)
Words was frustrating me greatly. The words were lucky that I require it... and don't know how to get rid of it. I felt my body start withering again, to my displeasure.... Words is very unpleasant right now, but I can't deal with it. [Necrophagia] seemed like my best, and only, solution right now... but I had no bodies. I had to get bodies. Bodies would be good to have. I immediately begin inspecting my surroundings, aware that I'm on a timelimit, and decide that the safest direction to go in is up. I don't know why, but I am certain that something is up, something important. Somewhere I could get bodies, probably.

[Dungeon's Hollow Earth]
I immediately begin hollowing out the earth above me, sapping my energy faster and causing the purple to fade. It was gradual, but apparent. I hated it. I hated it a lot. It should... should stop. It should stop. Stop... stop.... stop.... stop.... Suddenly, the earth began giving away above me. A cave in? No, it was pleasant to me. I could see rays of light pour through the slowly increasing hole above me. Something I don't hate. That was nice. I liked things I don't hate. That just seemed appropriate. I couldn't see what was outside yet, but I had my next best solution, now that I wasn't carving away earth.
[Minor Project Consciousness]
I was ripped away from my body more than I usually was, as my vision... floated.... wherever I wanted. Ha... Hahah... HAHAHA. AHAHAHAHA. THIS WAS FUN. THIS WAS VERY PLEASANT. THIS WAS ENJOYABLE, VERY MUCH SO. HAHAHA. HAHA. Haha... haaa... Seeing everything all the time was enjoyable. Nothing could stop that. I enjoyed moving fast and seeing lots of things. I would repeat the process a few times, later. But not now, I'm dying now. I took a second to look around after my trip up the shaft I had made. I saw lots of... green, and brown... long and... tall... Lots... Lots of COLORS. They were like me... but not shiny. That was a shame. They should be more shiny. BUT THEY WERE COLORFUL. Why were they colorful? I didn't know. I'd find out. I tried to move farther away to inspect them, forgetting my mortality, before words reminded me of what I should be doing.
[Notice:]
[Minor project consciousness cannot be used any farther from DESIGNATION:CORE_TYPE:NECROTIC]
That was not as fun. Minions should be able to do that for me. I had a feeling that minions would be better. I would just tell them to bring many of the green things to me.
[Create Basic Undead Minion]
[Notice:]
[This action can only be used within the dungeon]

[WARNING:]
[THIS ACTION WILL CONSUME A CONSIDERABLE AMOUNT OF LIFEFORCE DUE TO THE LACK OF MANA]
[DO YOU STILL WANT TO CONTINUE?]
[YES] [NO]
Words was back to making me feel unpleasant. Words should go away. Should I? I didn't have a choice. I had to do something or I'd die... because of words.
[YES]
Suddenly, a wave of nausea fell over me, and I was forced back into my... abstract, now mostly grey shell. I felt like dying. I don't like that feeling. A vicious disgust washed over me as pain came quickly after that, but it was not intolerable. The pain used to be worse, so I just mind-cried a little bit this time. A distance away, within my tunnel, out of nowhere... a white... odd... thing started to exist. It was built from bottom to top. Two long shafts it stood on, with little plates of white on the bottom. Two longs shafts on the side of its... many-shafted torso. It had an almost me-shaped white thing on the top of its head. It didn't shine either... a shame. The rattling appeared as all of the shafts were pulled together and the... What was it? Oh, skeleton. I knew that, apparently. Odd. Many things I knew somehow. Well, the skeleton started to rattle and turn to me. My immediate response was to tell it to climb out of the hole. It was both surprising and nice to see that it understood and began to do so. Its shafts clacked against the stone and it climbs all the way up. I wonder what it was made of... anyway. I will call them witters. Witters is a good name. Maybe the skeleton should be called Witters?
[Name Skeleton_1 'Whitters'?]
[YES] [NO]
Well, [YES] of course.
[Notice:]
[Assign Champion activated, Skeleton_1 redesignated 'Whitters']
Oh, yay. I had a champion now. What did that mean?
[Notice:]
[Champions are creatures recognized by the dungeon to be outstanding. Champions will be granted boons according to their DESIGNATION and TYPE.]
[Champion 'Whitters' acquired the title: Dungeon's Unliving]
Oh, that sounded nice. What is it?
[Notice:]
[Pointlessly Unliving is a spell which a minion bound by the dungeon acquires immortality at the cost of the dungeon's MANA]
[For DESIGNATION:SKELETON_MINION_CHAMPION, this allows the skeleton to reform after destruction, at the cost a creature of its power would require with remnant corpse's MANA subtracted from the total, until the expiration of the dungeon core it is attached to.]
Whitters was more useful now. I liked that. I liked Witters, then. A sudden thump and crushing of bones tore my attention away from the notifications. Whitters was now in many pieces... Whitters was a poor climber. The sudden ripping of lifeforce out of my body was very unpleasant, as the purple all but disappeared, and Whitters reformed from his bones. Ah.... grey.... I... don't like grey.... maybe this... wasn't a great idea.... I... was feeling quite weak... as my lifeforce grew dangerously low... Whitters... go... get me... a body... darkness returned... huh... I could've........ sworn........... there was light.............. here.....
