《Legend of the Void Lord》Book:1 CH:5 Out of the fog and Kelly the Knight
Advertisement
I was currently in a carriage with Kelly we were on our way to a dungeon that just showed. I was starting to get a headache for some reason but even though I had a headache my mind was getting clearer and clearer as time went on. When suddenly it felt like a gust of wind blow the fog that was covering my mind away and I could think clearly once more.
Congratulations you have broken free of a charm you have learned Charm Resistance LVL 1.
I see so I was under the effects of a charm it was probably Lusy's doing but when did she cast it on me, ah yes it must have been at that moment in the carriage when she placed her hand on mine and looked into my eyes that's when I felt myself starting to slip into the fog.
I'm really unlucky being a twenty-four-year-old virgin and the first woman I see outside of my own family in six years is a charm caster. Women are scary or maybe it's just Lucy who's scary she really had me good though. I'm not really mad about it, not like I lost anything I didn't want to lose anyway.
Charm magic is really something though, I'm so much stronger than Lucy but she still took me for a ride like that just because I did have any resistance to her charm. I need to fix that right now, putting skill points into charm resistance until it was at twenty should be fine.
I looked over at Kelly who was looking out the window of the carriage I could tell the skill points spent were well worth it kelly was still a beauty but it was more like looking at art rather than my lust telling me I wanted her.
Now that I could think clearly Kelly probably did really want to do it last night, Lucy probably did something and as for me under the effects of a charm, I couldn't really do anything other than what Lucy told me to do. But either way, I took something very precious from her and I need to take responsibility for it. Kelly was good-looking and kind but I didn't really have any feeling for her right now but I could work on that with her.
Reaching out toward Kelly's hand I placed my hand on top of her's, she shook in surprise not expecting me to do that. Kelly looked over to me wanting to know what I wanted but I said nothing just looking at her deep blue eyes. She turned her hand over and we interlock our fingers together.
Kelly's hand was very different from Lucy's soft gentle touch Kelly had a firm grip and many calluses on her hand from many years of hard work. While I was holding her hand I noticed that the most pronounced calluses on her hand were from many years of holding and swing a long metal rod which I could only assume to be a sword, so I ask. "Kelly, do you practice the sword by any chance?"
"Yes I do my father taught me how, he's actually here with us outside with the other soldiers heading toward the dungeon."
I see that make's sense why kelly body is like that, I was thinking back to last night with her and when I felt her body she wasn't really muscular but her body was firm and tight not giving much from my touch, unlike Lucy whose body was soft and smooth.
"So can you tell me why your dad would teach his daughter the sword in the first place?"
"Well on my dad's side of the family the firstborn son was always trained in the way of the sword, but my father was an only child and I was my father's only child so he, so he trained me in swordsmanship since I was six."
"I understand now, so why didn't you do anything with it and just become a maid instead."
"Well it's not that I didn't want to, it's just that when I came of age and the system gave me a random class based on my skills and stats I got the maid class, I was really disappointed at the time, but it's been two years now so I've gotten over it, I think my dad was more disappointed then I was though."
"I see so that's how it works."
"how what works?"
"Um never mind that, so why didn't you just get a new class then I mean people can have more than one so why didn't you?"
"I wish it was that easy but the system very really gives anyone a quest to get a second class before reaching tier two. The only way you can reliably get a second class is to dungeon dive and the system will give you a combat class depending on how deep you go on your first dive, that's why I asked you if I could come so I could give it a try."
"I see so that's how it is, then I'll make sure you're the first one in before anyone else ok."
"REALY YOU"LL LET ME GO FIRST, I LOVE YOU SO MUCH."
She wrapped her arms around my neck and kissed me and after she stayed snuggled up next to me.
"thank you for letting me go first it really mine a lot to me, my lord."
"You don't need to call me that you can just call me Caleb ok."
"Ok, Caleb I love you."
'I love you too Kelly."
We stayed like that the whole way there. After we arrived on site and the carriage came to a stop there was a knock on the carriage door.
"My lord we have arrived on-site and everyone is setting up camp around the Dungeon now it's time for you to go in my lord."
I took Kelly by the hand and we walked to the Dungeon entries if you could call it that because it just looked like a cave from the outside.
I looked at Kelly and asked, "Are you ready to go in or do you need equipment?"
"I'll be right back just give me a moment."
After saying that she ran up to a man in his late forties to early fifties that I could guess was her father. She said something to him and he opened his mouth wide in shock, then he grabbed her by the hand and pulled her off somewhere, a few minutes later they were back and Kelly totally different now. She was clad head to toe in full-plate just like her father was and just like him she carried a claymore on her back ready for a fight.
Kelly's father walked up to me with his daughter following close behind him and said, "Thank you my lord for the opportunity you are giving my daughter."
"You don't need to thank me she's is my wife so this is only normal right?"
"WIFE!!" He looked at Kelly in surprise and said. "When did you get married?"
"Were were were not married though."

"That's true we have not been officially married yet, but I plan to make it official soon."
Walking up to Kelly I lifted her faceguard and kiss her, "Good luck in there come back safe ok my wife."
"YE YE YESSS!" She said in a high-pitched voice and ran into the dungeon.
OH MY GOODNESS I CAN"T BELIEVE HE SAID THAT RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY DAD I'M SO EMAERESED!!. . . Ok Kelly girl you need to calm down your in a dungeon, ok calm down calm down calm, ok I feel better now.
This is my big chance to change my life so I need to go at it with all I got and get back to see my mom and dad as well as my my my HUSBAND.
After fully calming myself I started to walk down the tunnel of the dungeon and got the system message I was waiting for.

Everything looks the way it's supposed to be, now I just need to start the trial by fire and once I do I'll have to keep moving forward without stopping once because if I do the tail will end, the deep I go and the faster I get there the better the reward I'll get. Pulling my claymore off my back I got ready to charge in three two one accept.
As soon as I accepted the trial I started to run down the tunnel, on my way I spotted a goblin with nothing more than a loincloth around its waist. Since this was the first floor of the dungeon the monsters were all level one, meaning I didn't need to even slow down for the goblin as I trampled it into the ground crushing its head into a paste under my steel boots. I did this several more times until I got to the first-floor boss room.
Kicking open the door to the boss room I spotted my target right away a goblin wearing a leather tunic and cap with a club in hand. I charged right at it without any worry, once I was in range I swung down the goblin tried to defend its self with the club but the wood club did little if anything at all to slow down my claymore as I split the goblin in two.
After killing the boss of the first floor I refreshing energy fill my body and replenish my stamina it would have also replenished my health and mana as well if I had lost any.
After finishing the first floor I moved on to the second then third then I got to the fourth floor where I need to put in some effort to win but only a little. Making my way to the fourth-floor boss room I did what I did the last three-time running up I kicked the door in and looked for my target. I spotted a hobgoblin in the room and charged at it, just as it came into my reach I felt something hit the back of my knee making me fall. No longer able to complete my overhead swing I changed to a falling elbow slam to the top of the hobgoblins head caving it in and splattering me with blood and brain matter.
I quickly got to my feet and looked back for what hit me from behind, I spotted a goblin slinger hiding behind the doors I kicked open when coming in. When the goblin saw me looking at him he hide behind the door, I charged at the door, and at my full speed, I slammed myself into the door. I could hear the shattering of bone and the cry of pain from the goblin as its body was crushed into a paste between the door and the wall and I could see the blood and guts be squeezed out to the side.
After killing the boss of the fourth-floor I got enough experience points to level up to a level six maid, which put me in a good mood as I made my way to the fifth floor which had only hobgoblins now but they were little to no threat to me as they couldn't even hurt me in my full plate armor. I didn't even bother trying to dodging as it didn't matter if I was hit or not by them and taking the time to dodge would only slow me down.
That end though once I saw the boss of the fifth floor not because the enemy was different because it was still just a hobgoblin what mattered was the weapon it was using was a war pick a weapon made to make holes in full-plate armor like mine. I looked around the room and spotted three more hobgoblin slinger's to clear the room fast I used my mana to cast body enhancement magic and with that, my aura burst out and I tore the goblins apart and then made my way down to the sixth floor.
I was no longer moving as fast as before not because I couldn't but because now I need to use my mana and I did want to fight a floor boss without full mana, so I took longer so my mana could regen to full as I reached the boss room. Walking I looked around but only found one hobgoblin in the middle of the room with a short sword and wooden round shield.
"What, is this it?"
Suddenly the hobgoblin's aura burst out and charged at me, I knew I could win if I made this a contest of stamina, but that would take too much time and I need to finish up here and move on to the next floor. So I decided rather than a contest of stamina I would go for the next best thing a contest of strength. We charged at each other and I let him get the first hit on me I lost one-sixth of my hit points from it, but now he was wide open for me to take a swing at with my claymore.
I brought down my claymore right on top of him he tried to block with his wooden round shield, but all it did was cause my claymore to fall on the shoulder of his sword arm, cutting it off it fell and flopped on the alongside the short sword. Now that he was unarmed and in pain he could no longer defend himself from me and my claymore, as I brought it down on him once more. He tried to block with his shield once more but he no longer had the strength to hold on, as he fell to his knees his right arm braking under the weight of my claymore followed by the shattering of bone as it fell on his head.
I felt the rush of energy filling my body bring me back to peak condition as I moved forth toward the door to the seventh floor of the dungeon. I was tired and I wanted to rest but I knew I couldn't I need to go as far and as fast as I possibly could so as to make my parents proud and for my husband that gave me this opportunity that was his to me, I need to make this count I could rest in his arm after.
