Caleb Lacuna was one of three people in the world to have the Voidbody, as far as he knew anyway. With such a supposed circumstance, it did not take long for him to grow bored with his daily life and want more.

Perhaps, he should have been satisfied with all of the powers and fortunes he had; but he wasn't, not when he knew there was more. From what his grandfather told him they weren't even from this world in the first place.

Their family had been assassins for some royal family from another world until that royal family decided they no longer needed or wanted a powerful family of skilled assassins in their kingdom anymore.

Lucky for my family we had something called the stellar chart, a tool to help one navigate the stars.

Couple that with our family's knowledge of the void and you get what my great grandfather came up with, the void corridor. Simply put a form of fast travel between predetermined points in space.

On a more complex side though, it is a rift in space that allows passage through the void to another rift, normally. But with the help of the stellar chart one can find the coordinates to any place so long as you have a good enough description of the place.

In simple terms, so long as I set up a rift in space on my end I can go anywhere I want with the stellar chart.

My great grandfather only managed to just get it working when the family was attacked back then. He sent my grandfather through with only the hope he would survive the trip, lo and behold he managed to survive and make it to earth, he starts to rebuild the family here in America.

Now I have taken it upon myself to recreate my great grandfather's work and bring our family back home, and allow us to take revenge on the people that hurt our family.

That brings me to now, and why I stand before this rift in space that I've spent the last six years of my life working on. All I have to do is step forwarded and see what's on the other side of it, or the rift will collapse and I will be thrown against a wall, again. No need to worry for my safety though I put padding on the wall behind me.

Taking a step into the rift, I could feel it starting to collapse, closing my eyes I braced myself ready for the impact that never came. Opening my eyes to see what happened, I was shocked to see I was no longer in my testing room but somewhere else.

Looking around the new place, I found, not much at all, it was an empty room with only a glowing sphere on a pedestal for light.

I walked up to the pedestal to get a better look at it and when I got close enough, I saw that the sphere was floating and not resting on the pedestal below it.

"What's the point of the pedestal if it can float. Well, whatever I finally got a stable rift, and that's what matters to me, I should head back home and tell everybody about it, but before I go I think I'll be taking this floaty glow sphere thing with me."

Grabbing hold of the baseball-sized sphere I pulled it close to my chest, and when I did, I heard a voice roar out saying."Who dares to steal from me and in my own home!!."

I felt a shiver run down my spine and goosebumps on my arms, whatever or whoever that voice came from was powerful very very powerful. I turned on instinct, every fiber of my being told me to run for my life, so that's what I did.

Throwing myself back into the rift I came from, I started to feel safe, but that was short-lived when I heard the voice coming. Out of fear I did something stupid, I forced closed the rift I was in, doing so will cause me to drop out of the void. Pulling out the stellar chart I looked for any place that I could go, finding the nearest world I closed the rift.

Appearing in the sky I started to free fall to the ground below, I started to use my void body to dampen the impact of the fall. Turning my body so my feet were facing the ground, as I got closer to the ground I held tight to the sphere.

Slamming into the ground I did a superhero landing and started to laugh like an idiot. "HAHAHAHHA THAT WAS AWESOME HAHAHAHAH!!.

I felt as if someone was looking at me, so I jumped to my feet and looked around, to my surprise on my left there was a forest, with what looked like bandits coming out, and on my right was a group of five kights defending a carriage, is this what I think it is.

Suddenly one of the bandit-looking people shouted something and they started to charge at me. I couldn't tell what was going on, but that didn't matter, right or wrong there was nothing bad about killing someone that was trying to kill you.

Placing the stellar chart back in my jacket and placing the sphere alongside it, I got into my family fighting stance. My family's fighting style was a little strange as it was made for someone with a void body.

The void body allowed us to pull in everything around us from sound and smells to even light and heat. This made us look like a textureless black figure, think of someone covered in vantablack. This messes with an enemy's depth perception, as a result of this I was trained to keep my hands right in front of me so the enemy could not see when I throw a punch.

When I changed into the textureless black-figure or dark mode for short, the enemies stopped in their tracks surprised at the new form I took. Taking this chance, I dashed forward punched the first man in the throat grabbed his knife from his side, and threw it at the archer in the back that was notching an arrow.

After that, the effect of my surprise attack wore off and the bandits tried their best to attack me; but it was quite clear that the bandits were just strong men with weapons and had little to no real training in combat. I on the other hand have been trained from a young age to fight and kill as a member of a family of assassins.

Even though I had the advantage in speed, strength, tactics, combat experience and I even had the void body as well; but that did not stop me from using every dirty trick in the book, from eye-gouging to dick-kicking, I did it all.

After defeating about half of the bandits they started to run back into the forest and I was not inclined to give chase after them but then I was distracted by a blue box.

Suddenly a transparent blue box appeared in front of me saying I got some experience points.

"What the"

I tried to swipe at it and it disappeared from in front of me.

"What in the heck. Well, whatever."

I turned around to look at the kights behind me with uneasy expressions on their faces. I thought about why they were looking at me like that and realized I was still in dark mode so I turned it off. Once I did that I could see four of the five knights relax their faces, but the one in the middle did not and was still watching me like a hawk.

"I guess you're the one in charge here?"

The knight looking man said "[email protected]!^#&[email protected]#$^*@%&$"

"Uuuuummmm ya, that sounds good to me why not."

After saying yes to the blue box, I felt knowledge appear in my head like it was always there, to begin with. Well, that was kind of cool, suddenly I heard the knight speak and this time I knew what he was saying.

"Can you understand me, is there anything we can do for you?"

Not taking long I said. "How about a ride to town if that's ok."

From inside the carriage, I heard the voice of women say. "Yes, that would be fine please come sit with me."

"But my lady."

The lady in the carriage cut him off saying' "Charles it's fine to let him sit with me."

The knight-looking man named Charles was looking at me like I stole his daughter.

I walked over to the carriage and went inside. Inside the carriage was a lady of seventeen to eighteen years old. Just as I sat down the lady started to talk.

"So may I ask the good sir what your name maybe?"

"My name is Caleb Lacuna, my good lady, may I ask what your name is."

"Greetings sir Word, my name is Lucy Casmore Vinhaven, of the Vinhaven house of tessvol province. I hope this does not come out as rude, but may I ask just how high are your stats to move like that without the use of aura?"

What was she talking about, so I said? "My stats"

Suddenly a lot of information was shoved in front of me, all I could say was. "what"

Lucy seemed to misunderstand what I meant by that. " Sorry for asking such a question out of nowhere when we only just met."

"No it's fine, all my stats are over twenty and two of them are over thirty."

"WHAT, but you look like you're only twenty-five!."

Lucy started to go on and on about how her father this and her father that and only after he was in his mid-fifties did he reach level ten. I wonder what kind of face she will have if I told her I was only level one.

While she was talking up a storm, I went back to looking at my stats. Everything looked good to me so I clicked on ability points and skill points in hopes that the system would tell me what they are for and it did.

Ability points are earned every time you level a skill up ten times. and are used to enhance your base stats. Skill points are earned every time you level up skill's on your own. and are used to buy new skills or level up the skills you have.

Ok, that's interesting, but why is my willpower so high. Clicking on willpower to see what it is made me understand why it was so high.

Will power is someones driving force in life, a person desires to move forward and do something great in life, it's a person's ambition.

Ok, so willpower is like how motivated I'll be to do something with myself. This is important than, ok all points into willpower it is.

Clicking on the ability points I spent them all on my willpower, as I'm sure you're aware this was very dumb of me. If I was thinking strat I probably not have done that but honestly, I'm pretty sure this is all a dream and I'm certainly unconscious on the floor in my lab. Next time I'll put some points into my intelligence, so as not to make this mistake again, or would I need wisdom for that; but that was neither here nor there.

With the sudden increase in my willpower, I started to lose control over myself as all of my deep desires started to come out. Looking at the beauty in front of me I wanted nothing more right now than her. grabbing onto my leg I gripped it tight to try and control myself and she did exactly what I didn't want her to do or did I.

She placed her soft hand on mine that was gripping my leg and said in her soft sweet voice "Sir Word are you ok, your sweating, do you have a fever?"

Looking up at her face, I couldn't take it any longer. Reaching behind her head, I pulled her in for a kiss. When my lips met her's something deep down told me I had just stolen her first kiss. She at first tried to push me back but gave up on that rather quickly and started to kiss me back. I kind of deep down wanted her to put up more of a fight but this was fine. I enjoyed her soft lips but I wanted more I pushed her back and started to take off her dress.

She grabbed my hands and said in a quiet voice "We can't, not here, the guards will hear us."

She was right, if it was anyone else we would have to stop, but I had just the thing for this moment it was not meant for this, but I was going to use it for it anyway. I activated one of my void powers specifically the one that absorbed the sound from around me.

After doing that I grabbed hold of her again and started to strip her. She could shout all she wanted and no one would hear her.
