He was still shocked by what he had just witnessed. No matter how he repeats it, he can't believe that he was inside an elf's village. That is not only considering the fact that they use a portal in entering this town. Though how can the man who led them have the access in that kind of transportation

'questions for later about that person' he reminded himself. First, he needs to know why the man led them in and if the letter has anything to do with it.

"Why did we come here? Does the letter we delivered have a connection with it" Yuuto asked.

"Yes, " he nods. "Though it may be late, my name is Osgord. Nice to meet you"

"My name is Yuuto and she is Alice. It's nice meeting you"

"if I may I would like to go the chief to check the letter you have deliver to me"

Alice suddenly interrupted, "If you are going to chief to check the letter, why didn't you do it earlier then?"

"Though I already read the letter I need to let the chief check it first" Osgord replied.

"Still, what is your true job? I don't think that a blacksmith will be given a privilege to bring someone here, especially like us. "

"That question is something that you need to answer for yourself. Stay in the town and you may discover what it is" he smirked at her.

'I am already tired of blacksmiths doing something, not their jobs and their weird antics. ' she grumbled

"And before I go, you are free to do anything here as long as you don't bring trouble. Don't worry the elves are here friendly" he said as he walked away.

"What do you think we should do? " she asked. It may be out of character for her to say this, but she herself doesn't know what she is supposed to do. It's not like she has anything to do besides waiting for Osgord to come back looking for them.

"I think I have an idea for that?"

It's been a long time since Yuuto felt this excited. Upon asking him what they should do, Yuuto suggested that they explore the place. Since Alice is somewhat uptight and prefers to do things as fast as possible he didn't really expect for her to easily agree to his idea, but contrary to what was on his mind. She agreed to him, though there is slight hesitation in her voice. He didn't pay attention to it as they were finally going to explore this place. Now, here they are walking around the village.

The buildings around the village were quite similar to those buildings made by humans. Though in this village they prioritized using more wood than cement or rocks. In his opinion that decision really gave the village a more forest feeling around it. While exploring around the town, Yuuto sometimes saw flickering lights though they were dim. He can still see them around the place. If that was fireflies then it was too early for them to come as it was still too early. But who was Yuuto to judge the village. But when he ask Alice about the lights, she just shrugged at him.

"Hey can you see the flickering lights" he said, trying to be subtly pointing at them.

"What are you saying? I don't see any lights. I think you are just saying things. " she replied

"huh? I guess you are right" His headache didn't certainly help either. Maybe after they returned to their Inn he will take medicines,

During their walk, they didn't notice that they had already arrived at the entrance of the village. Just as they turned their back, something caught their eyes. It was a bloody figure of a woman running towards them, tripping along the road. Without missing a beat they approached the woman. She has several lacerations and scratches around her arms and legs. Her face was covered with blood, dirt, and grim.

Swiftly Alice cast a healing magic around her, covering her with green light

"Are you ok, what happened to you?" Yuuto ask

"Pl-please help my child. We got se-separated, w- we got attacked by wolves. Please help" she said as she lost consciousness.

After giving her first aid, they give her to the nearest person. Thankfully, she was near the gate when she collapsed. Giving a last look at her condition, they swiftly ran towards the place the woman pointed at.

His movements suddenly halted as they both heard a scream. Without wasting any time Alice cast Swift, increasing their speed. Every second was worth a lot, all he could think in that moment was how she could say the child of the woman. Yuuto's eyes widened as he gazed at the figure of a child surrounded by a surface monster.

Her body was riddled with blood and scratches. Crimson Hounds growled with their frotte mouth, a type of monster characterized by their crimson fur and dark sclera. The hounds hungrily looking at her, waiting for the right moment to maimed their next meal.

"Alice!" he shouted. Calling her name, she instantly understood what he meant.

Yuuto dash forward, his eyes instantly scanning the monsters.

Type of monster: Four legged, wolf

Source of attack: Jaws and claws.

Getting the information, he changed his stance. Since wolves or any monster similar to it attacks the neck specifically. Yuuto leaves his neck open, though it may be reckless. His fighting style mainly relies on leaving openings to stall the attacker and know where they can attack.

But now his objective is not to fight but to simply catch the girl and run away. As he ran forward in the direction of the girl, he was instantly attacked by one of the wolves. Without losing any momentum, he twisted his body, slashing the snout of the wolf. Unfortunately, as he regains his posture another wolf attacks, now aiming for his arm.

Suddenly, a pillar of fire emerges between him and the wolf, burning the fur of the crimson hound in the process.

"Pay attention to your surroundings" she said, as she smacked one of the wolves coming at her.

Without looking back he replied "yes!"

One of the wolves howled, getting all the attention of the wolves preying at the little girl. Though it may be fortunate as the hounds are now not entire focusing at the girl. It cannot be said for them. All of the wolves attack him aiming for his body; legs, arms, head, and even his groin. He shivered at the thought of a wolf biting him down there. Yuuto was thankful that his master train him blindfolded to detect dangers and he was just nimble and fast enough to dodge most of the attack. Emphasize most of the attack, as he remained not unsctached by the attacks.

He looked back for a moment, there he was greeted by the groups of wolves growling at him with their white pupils. It also didn't help the fact that the wolves suddenly grew a pair of tentacles on their back. Yuuto even if he don't explore the outside of their town know that wolves don't do that and it was including the fact they are surface monsters.

He gulped and instantly scooped the girl. He ran as fast as he could. Yuuto doesn't care anymore, he doesn't care anymore about his stinging body, his wounds, or the fact that he is terribly terrified. His mind is certain to save this girl.

"Alice, let's go"

The atmosphere suddenly dropped down, and ice emerged between the wolves and him and Alice.

"That would hold long, let's go," she said.

As Alice said, some of the wolves manage to avoid her ice attack. And even running at their utmost limit, the wolves manage to catch them remaining at breaths hair distance. To their misfortune, the wolves suddenly start using their tentacles even managing to smack the back of Yuuto. He is going to complain to the goddess of luck if he sees her.

Thankfully, they were seen by the hunters of the village. They engage at the remaining wolves sparing him and Alice in running for their lives. He just hopes that they manage to save the girl even with her injuries.
