《The Iridis Experiment》Chapter 6. A proposition

Blurred lights flashed before Elliot's eyes as he could hear muffled voices, and see blurred images of people in dark suits, with people in snow white clothing dotting his vision, and then, a quick cut back to darkness.
---
When Elliot opened his eyes, he was in a large, wooden chair, with wires littering the dark room around him. when he looked directly in front of him, he could see a large rectangle plane of glass in the front of the room, and a metal door on the side. With him in front of a metal desk with a fold up metal chair on the other side of the metal desk. As Elliot tried to remember what had happened to him during the party last night, the metal door made a sound as a man in a black suit entered the room. The man was a tall, brown haired man, with bright green eyes and a wrinkled face. The man sat down on the chair adjacent to Elliot and brought out a beige colored file. The man began to silently read the file, leaving Elliot in a confused state wondering what the heck was going on. The man slowly lowered the file from his face and looked at elliot straight in the eyes.
"Your name?"
Elliot stared back into the man's eyes, did he seriously think that Elliot, of all people could talk to him, and why would he tell him his name of all things.
"Your name!"
The Man asked in a much fiercer tone than last time, with his voice sounding like a drill sergeant, that could make even the most confident man, pee in his pants. Out of reflex Elliot responded saying
"Elliot Foin!"
This made Elliot confused, that was what he meant to say, but his voice, instead of sounding like garbled nonsense, his voice sounded like one of the first gen AI's that were used in old phones. A robotic, male voice that pronounced his last name wrong, which irritated elliot to an extreme.

"Ok then Mr.Foin, I imagine that you have plenty of questions, and I will answer them to the best of my ability."
The man's voice had simmered down to a gentle tone, and once he said he would answer Elliots questions, Elliot's mind began to race with what to ask first, after a few minutes of contemplation, Elliot had arrived at his first question, and the most important one to him.
"How am I able to speak, and why does my voice sound like a first generation sire?"
"Hm, I didn't expect that to be the first question, but, I guess that's the first question from a man who hasn't had the liberty to speak for nine years. Right now there are wires sticking out of your head, picking up what your mind wants to say, and then saying it through a speaker that's sitting behind your chair. That's your first question, anything else?"
After thinking about it some more, Elliot came up with another question
"Where am I! And how did I get here!"
"Ah finally, the elephant in the room has been addressed, do you remember what happend to you last night?"
Elliot began to race for answers as to what happened to him last night, he was pushed onto the road, saw a light incoming, fell of his wheelchair, got onto his back, looked in front of him, and then it all went to black.
"You were pulled into the road by the wind, and then, you got hit by a truck."
This suddenly made Elliot's eyes burst open as he felt a rush of fear pass over him
"However, thanks to your reactions, you were able to fall onto the road on your back, letting most of your body receive no damage. However, you did hurt your head, giving yourself a minor concussion, and sadly, a part of your arm was crushed by the truck's tires. So you needed to have immediate medical attention, and that's where we responded almost immediately, taking you to our doctors at a minutes notice."

This confused Elliot, making him ask another question
"How did you know that I was hurt, and, who are you people?
The man smiled and said these simple words.
"Mr Foin, before any further personal questions are asked, i would like to make a proposition for you."

The Ultimate Supporter
Mona stood there, her body has stopped shaking as she stared at Sarah with no expression. “... do I have to set a goal?” Mona asked quietly. “Yes, if you do not then you will not be allowed to play Road Builder.” “...why? Why do we have to set a goal?” “This game is about inspiring people to work hard towards something that they wish to achieve. Don’t you have something you wish to achieve too ma’am?” “... I… do.” “What is your goal then ma’am?” “My goal… my goal is to become the ultimate supporter.” Feelings rushed back into Mona’s eyes as she clenched both her fists hard. “I want to help others succeed. I don’t need to be the main character. I want other people to be the main character.” Mona yelled as tears began to stream down her face. “I just… I just want to feel needed again.” Mona sniffled. Sarah looked at her with a soft expression on her face. “Is ‘I want to become the ultimate supporter’ your final choice?” Sarah asked. Mona bit on her lip as tears continued to stream down her face. She slowly nodded her head. “Alright then… this goal has been registered onto your avatar. You will soon spawn into a town and began your journey.” Sarah smiled, her eyes illuminating warmth to Mona. Mona nodded her head understanding as she wiped away the tears. A blue circle appeared around her as numbers counting down from ten appeared in front of her. 10… 9… 8… “By the way ma’am.” Sarah said. 7… 6… “Yes?” 5… 4… “I am sure you will achieve that goal, and to guarantee that, I give you my blessings.” 3… “What?” 2… “Enjoy your time in Road Builder.” 1… ********* Please point out if you notice any mistakes so that I can fix it. Also, because I re-edit this a lot so the chapters are going to come out very slowly(and because the blue tables take a while to do). Any comments and reviews are welcomed and are appreciated!
