I didn’t say anything. He took something out from his pocket, a knife.

No, this is not an ordinary knife. It was a leaf shape folding knife and a knight was engraved on it.

I was staring at it and he said, “Isn’t it pretty? It’s my baby. I made it myself”

“So it’s really you who killed my mother” I said.

“Yeah, with this beauty” he said showing his knife.

“Why? What did she do wrong that you had to kill her?” I said furiously.

“Because she found out my treasure” he says.

I have to do something or else he will kill me sooner or later.

“You said you loved her” I say.

“That was true. I still love her but I didn’t like what she did. She followed me there and then I told her to keep it a secret but she tried to kill me. So I had no other choice than killing her. Now tell me how you know these things?” he said very calmly.

“I found mom’s diary” I said.

“And where is it?” he says.

He is curious now. I can see that but no way I am going to tell him where that diary is.

“Where is it?” he said furiously.

He placed his knife on my neck. I was frightened.

“Fine, I will give it to you but tell me first how do you know my mother for twenty years?”

I don’t want to tell him but I have to buy some time till Iain comes back. I texted Iain about everything before going to Xavier’s room and told him to come back with the police.

He removed his knife from my neck and said, “Okay, that’s a good deal. I will tell you then. You are going to die anyway”
