I believed Hybrid to be the best option out of all of them. I wasn’t too sure what was going on, but the one the one that gave me the most options would cover any mistakes I made along the way. God knows I didn’t feel like I knew what was going on.

Cyborg (Nanomachine Variant) – Artificial/Mortal

Most Cyborgs are built with synthetic parts replacing portions of a person, with a variety of craftsmanship and utility in mind when installed. Certain metaphysical abilities are hindered by this process as the artificial material interferes or losing a limb dilutes a person’s abilities. Nanomachines cyborgs are built with the later issue resolved and former mitigated as much as possible. Still infused with foreign material, metaphysical abilities will still be challenged by the machines unless mitigated further in some way. Also become vulnerable to certain attacks because of the nanomachines.

Increased attributes do to nanomachines, but more difficult to train as well.

Physical Skills will be learned at a faster pace, metaphysical skills will be learned at a slower pace.

Nanomachines can be upgraded and/or modified but requires the appropriate skill and materials.

Dhampir (Noble Variant) – Ethereal/Mortal

One of the few natural born undead, a dhampir is a rare breed, especially of the noble variant. A Noble vampire is one of the strongest undead that does not have a parasitic or necrotic origin. Being only half-undead, all weaknesses of a vampire are either removed or mitigated to manageable levels. While not wholly reliant on consuming other being’s essence, it is still possible to use such an ability. As a noble variant, you are predisposed to certain abilities and skills to some variant undead. Still a living creature, certain abilities will injure the user to a lesser degree. Enhanced physical attributes, reduced ageing, and slight affinity to certain metaphysical skills.

Their nature is not easily distinguishable but is recognized as an ethereal by certain abilities.

Slight weakness to attacks that can harm undead and/or vampires primarily.

Dryad (Neutral Variant) - Fairy/Elemental

Dryads are a nature elemental that has reached a high level of intelligence and autonomy. Their abilities are dependent on the environment they were born in. But as a hybrid from an elemental and a fairy, a Dryad’s element is set to neutral. As such, no one element dominates the dryad. This allows them to master several elements with higher proficiency than others. But being more skilled with a certain element leaves the Dryad weaker to any element that opposes theirs. Their power also waxes and wanes depending on the environment they are at the time. Elemental affinities are more easily gained and trained, similar one’s bleeding into each other.

Will become more difficult to train other elements depending on their conflicting nature.

May loose neutrality if certain elements outpace their counterparts.

Kin (Children Variant) – Eldritch/Mortal

The truly powerful Eldritch are so physically, mentally, and spiritually incomprehensible that reproduction is nearly impossible. The only way to reproduce is by psychically impregnating virgin females. It’s as weird and disturbing as it sounds. Regardless, being born of timeless beings leaves a mark on the child. Psychic and abnormal metaphysical abilities are easily learned, and some are granted at birth. Unfortunately, this comes with an unnatural physical appearance that leaves all but the most mentally resolute terrified, horrified, or in some rare cases, clinically insane. Your mental and physical abilities are superior but may increase randomly.

Psychic abilities and connections to your eldritch parent are easily accessible.

Your reputation starts or shifts to Horror if seen in your natural form.

Nephilim (Pureblooded Variant) – Demonic/Celestial

While possible only because of forsaken celestials or absolved demons, pure races of either origin would never even entertain the idea. One of the truly experimental of all the hybrids never seen in such a manner, the results may be unexpected. Using abilities of either origin will be damaging unless mitigated in some form. Abilities of either origin can be granted but eliminate resistances to both abilities. As a pureblood, this race is beholden to both sins and virtues, cycling through all of them until one is willingly selected. Will be influenced heavily by whichever sin or virtue they embody at the time.

Physically superior attributes and easy access to demonic or celestial abilities.

Must select a sin and virtue to live by or be influenced by one of each randomly from time to time.

If one origin overshadows the other too heavily, unknown side effects may occur.

It took a few minutes of me being enraged before I was calm enough to accept the situation for what it was. My head was still throbbing, but I was cognizant enough to realize that I had not been informed of a possibly dangerous option. Sure, I was getting some compensation as a tittle and reward, but I was still pissed. At the very least I was supposedly presented the best options.

Although from reading their descriptions, I was still on the fence if they were truly the best options. Not to mention I had no idea what these options were even for. The previous windows gave me vague answers but not the why or how of it. Every time I tried to think more on the subject, my head starting throbbing even harder. Eventually, I understood selecting one of the options was the only way to get any answers. Maybe selecting another Hybrid race if any one of the ones presented weren’t to my liking.
