Chapter Three - Bloodline Awakening part 3
"Tch. There's no way you can release your essence qi yet. That technique is too strong for you. I won't be afraid of you!" Frankie Baldez came flipping down again with a mighty kick aimed at Lucky's temple. Profound light formed the shadow of a shark on his leg. Lucky wondered when he would be able to manifest essence shadows in his mystic arts.
"Shark Bite Central!"
"Golden Koi Ascends!" Lucky's blood boiled, and his fist seemed to shine with an aggressive radiance. Lucky slipped to the left, narrowly avoiding the kick, and rocked Frankie's jaw with another stiff uppercut! The force of Frankie's own momentum was stacked on top of Lucky's mystic strength as his counter landed perfectly.
Frankie Baldez face fractured as he got knocked airborne!
The poor guy flew up 20 feet before crashing down terribly on the ground. From the time Eric attacked, to the time Frankie's face landed on the ground, only around 10 seconds passed. Nearly half of that time was Frankie's aerial journey.
"AAARGH!"
Frankie Baldez landed with substantial injuries. His jaw and his arms were both mangled. There was a white bone exposed on one of his legs, and his wails were heart-wrenching. Unlike Eric, Frankie didn't have the protection of a treasure. He took Lucky's full-powered attack head-on.
"How!! PLAHH!! How!! Trash like you, there's no way, THERE'S NO DAMN WAY! BLAHH!!" Frankie was puking up some blood and bits of his organs that had been shattered in his fall. He tried to get up but kept falling on his face. He clearly suffered a concussion just now.
Capp looked on and had no idea how hard that outstanding uppercut must have hit this tyrant Frankie, however, Capital knew for sure he wouldn't be able to get back up after such a punch!
Were this attack and strength the result of Lucky's sacred blessing?
Fierce!
Imposing!
This was indeed worth a year of being in a coma.
If Lucky knew Capital's thoughts, then he likely would not know whether to laugh or cry. His current eruption of strength seemed to be mostly unrelated to the Sacred Blessing Wall. After all, his level had not increased a single tiny bit! Only his power increased exponentially, and this just occurred once his lifeblood started boiling.
Most bloodlines awakened at around fourteen or fifteen years, but apparently, Lucky's only just awakened.
There was something strange going on with his body, but Lucky knew it was only temporary. He could feel it coming to an end soon. Lucky Riot stared at his fist that seemed to have some nearly invisible steam rising from it.
Just what on Pluto was going on?
"Junior boss!"
"Holy mother of Pluto, what is he?"
"Did he just take out the junior boss in one shot? No way, could it be he was hiding his real strength all along?"
"That's not possible! He clearly released mystic strength at the second level, there's no way it should have been that powerful! He must have used some trick!"
"Did you guys see that martial skill? What was that? I never heard of someone at the second level delivering such a skilled attack."
. . . . . . . . . . . .
The surrounding goons were all frightened and scatterbrained. Just like a chicken with its head cut off, they didn't know which way to turn.
Lucky simply ignored the reaction of these weaklings, as they couldn't even trouble him before and much less now. He rushed to Capital's side and helped lift him to his feet. Together, they moved slowly towards the ruins of the dumpster, totally ignoring Antonio Bazaar III who was sprawled out like a baked fowl. With his Perceptive Force State, Lucky was able to instantly identify that Tony wasn't even suffering from 30% of the injuries Capital received. He was nearly in perfect condition, bruised at best. This made Lucky so angry that he chose not to acknowledge Tony at all. This guy was too audacious and suspicious. After all, Lucky didn't have a lot of control over his own emotional state right now. Last time he lost his temper, a man had already died!

This had yet to really set in.
"Kasino, how..." Capp was staring unblinkingly at his best friend like he was seeing him for the first time. However, Lucky couldn't see any of the fear or abnormal reactions he was expecting in Capital's eyes. He only saw confusion, worry, and... excitement?
Towards this, Lucky Riot felt speechless. He looked at Capp and spoke in a low whisper, "Fewer questions, more problem-solving. How can we get inside the wormhole?"
"This..." Capp was caught off guard. Could they even still get in the wormhole? "Let's try to rip it open? But, shouldn't we avoid them seeing us? What if they follow us?"
"Have you forgotten what happens to anyone who follows us?" Lucky Riot responded matter-of-factly.
"Have you forgotten about the first ones to follow us?" responded Capp, his face skeptical. Lucky started at Capp's words. Lucky had to admit it, Capp's words were very accurate.
"However, nothing is absolute. We have to risk it!"
Frankie coughed up blood, as he rose slowly to his feet, a broken Eric supporting him from the side. Merely, Eric was seemingly in far worse condition and shouldn't be moving around at all. However, Essence Hunters were a lot tougher than ordinary warriors.
"Little Boss, are you okay?" Eric asked, genuinely concerned. He was dumbstruck by how mighty that uppercut was. What in the hell kind of martial art was that? Its strength seemed to rival a spiritual art!
"The dumpster again…" Frankie's eyes shone with a piercingly cold light. "There must be a passage hidden somewhere behind it. We have to find it!"
Eric nodded in agreement.
"No time," once they arrived in front of the dumpster. Lucky immediately pulled the corpse of Teddy out of the ruined dumpster and tossed it at Frankie and Eric, who got knocked over by their dead friend unexpectedly. Using his great strength, Lucky pried open the top wide enough for a person to jump through. "Let's go!"
"Ugh..." Capital had a headache. Could it be they had to give up their greatest secret just to escape? Of course, before today Bravo, Tony, and himself had vowed to never return here after Maggie and Lucky woke up. But that didn't mean Capp wanted others to find it instead. However, Capp understood the current situation even better than Lucky did, they couldn't stay here any longer. Once Sancho or his right-hand man Carlos came, it would already be too late to cry! Even Lucky's new-found strength wasn't enough to defeat an eighth level Hard Body Stage warrior's essence strength!
They were an entirely different level of terrifying.
"Here goes nothing," Lucky helped his friend climb on top of the dumpster. Capital was injured, so he could only allow himself to fall inside weakly. He quickly disappeared down the temporal tunnel. Lucky stepped up to dive inside as well, but he was stopped by an annoying voice.
"Move, move you, argh! You damn cowards!" Frankie pushed one of his followers so hard he collided with the alley wall and fell unconscious. The man only tried to lift the corpse that pinned Eric and Frankie down, and now he was heavily injured. How cruel was life?
Frankie ignored his injury then proceeded to scream all manner of curses at Lucky, "I'll kill you, you damned detestable trash! I don't know what kind of miracle pill you swallowed, but you'll never make it out of this city alive! I'll slaughter you, I'll slaughter your entire family! I'll ravage your mother and then dine on her entrails! I'll enslave your dog father, sell your sisters, torture your brothers! Mark my words, punk!"

"You know," Lucky Riot stepped back down and slowly turned around. His scarlet bestial eyes were suddenly ablaze with a near tangible fury, yet his voice was deadly calm.
Frankie Baldez felt an odd sense of unease and crisis when this savage gaze landed on him. He only dared to say those words before when be believed he was merely defeated by a wastrel who used illegal drugs to forcibly increase his mystic strength. He thought there was some hidden tunnel behind that dumpster and they wouldn't get far. At any rate, such forbidden drugs would only last for a limited time, had terrible after effects, and usually ended with a painful backlash.
This previously unconscious and tyrannical brat wouldn't dare to start more trouble with them under such a condition... right? However, Lucky's next words dumbfounded Frankie, "When I killed your friend... mn, that was an accident. I was unaware of my strength. Ultimately, he can only blame himself."
"Hey!"
"Brat, keep talking like that after we gut you and cook your entrails!"
"Tim, calm down, dude…"
"No way, this punk killed my bro! You're going to die punk. After assaulting the little boss, Boss Sancho won't ever let you live past tonight!"
The several goons stared in awe at this audacious brat. Lucky actually dared to disrespect them like this. Even though his strength was a little scary, gangsters wouldn't cower before superior strength so easily. They still had the heart to trash talk since they also had a powerful backer.
"Hmph. Nothing more than a dancing clown," Lucky Riot calmly glanced at the moron who was cursing him a second ago, before his gaze fell to a small rock near his feet. Lucky suddenly dropped back to steps and kicked the rock with essence force!
"Da fuck did he just say to *gulp*."
*Puchi*
A rock sized hole appeared in the back of the man's throat. Actually, the goon called Tim couldn't even finish his question, blood spilling out of his mouth as he collapsed to the ground. Seeing this, the surrounding goons were aghast, unable to react at all.
"How dare you! Trash like you, do you think," Frankie initially calmed down, for he thought this punk just wanted to try and cop out by apologizing. 'Is this brat Kasino stupid, after all?' Frankie thought. They would definitely waste him and abduct his family no matter what.
Coincidentally seeing him murder Tim sent Frankie into a near frenzy that collapsed his arrogance. However, Lucky's next words left the rest of Frankie's words caught in his throat as he swallowed them heavily.
"As for you, Franklin Baldez. By speaking ill of my mother, I must say that you have truly crossed the line of my tolerance. I am interested in seeing how it feels to truly kill. It seems I'm becoming proficient." Lucky had always been this way, the angrier he was, the calmer he would become. This time he was utterly enraged! The moment Frankie profaned his mother, Lucky no longer considered him as a human being at all. Frankie and his friends were no more than vile vermin that needed to be eradicated.
Lucky suddenly dropped and swept his leg, knocking Eric off his feet. Lucky punched out with rapidly his Collapsing Waves Fist to shatter all the bones in Eric's chest, making him spit out copious amounts of blood and bone as he started to twitch and choke from his internal injuries.
"Hmph, let's see that necklace save you now," Before any of the other boys could react, Lucky flipped through the air with a fierce momentum, before sending all his strength into his legs and landing on Frankie Baldez's head!
*BAM*
Splat!
"NOOO! Oh, god, no!"
"The junior boss!? The junior boss is DEAD? BIG BOSS IS GOING TO KILL US!"
"Frankie, blurgh, ahh!!"
"Madman! Runaway, or he's going to kill us all!"
"Escape! We have to get to the boss' place!"
"NO! The boss will definitely kill us for not avenging his baby brother. We have to fight to the death!"
"I can't… I can't…"
"Blurgh!"
None of these young men had ever seen someone murdered so totally. So brutally. Brains mashed all over the concrete like he someone slammed a mallet onto a strawberry. However, one goon who was injured earlier by Frankie leaned against the wall with his eyes shining as he watched Lucky. That was the coolest thing this goon had ever seen in his life.
How merciless was this brat?
Depends on your words!
What was gangster?
This was gangster!
Unfortunately, just as most of the Silver Mercury goons were about to piss their pants in fear, they were woken up by the sound of Lucky Riot retching and coughing. The eyes of the remaining opponents shined with ferocity. Chance! In their eyes, this terrifying existence was finally suffering the backlash from taking a forbidden drug.
"This bastard! So he used a forbidden drug to kill Frankie and Teddy. No way the second level of trash could be so strong. Quick, we must capture him while he's still weak!" Screamed one goon in elation. He was the most energetic left standing, so he took on the leadership role reflexively.
"Surround him, we'll bring his mangled body back to the big boss!" came the timid voice of another. He didn't want to attack alone, for he feared the drug may still be working a little.
"Our safety is assured. A pity though…" sighed the goon leaning against the wall under his breath.
Meanwhile, Lucky had finally given in to the overwhelming feeling of disgust brought by the stench of blood. A stench he couldn't avoid smelling with his powerful senses. Once the overwhelmingly pungent smell of blood reached his nostrils, Lucky immediately had to puke! Merely, as Lucky hadn't eaten in only the ghost knew how long, nothing was coming out. He didn't feel like he would be able to get used to this feeling.
While the Silver Mercury goons were hesitating, unable to decide whether to attack or not, Lucky turned around and fled. He didn't waste time, punching off the lid and diving straight into the dumpster. Two minutes later he landed face-first on the pavement of an alleyway filled with golden light.
"OW! For fuck's sake…"
"Kasino!"
"You made it, brat, you made me worried!"
"Hey... hey Kasino."
Lucky Riot lifted his face to see three of his childhood friends smiling back at him. Best of all, Maggie was finally awake! Looking deeply into her pretty blue eyes, Lucky felt relieved, and Maggie smiled while blushing shyly. Lucky admired her smile so much at this moment that time seemed to stop.
As the two stared at each other so intimately, Bravo and Capp even rubbed their noses in embarrassment. Why don't these two just get a room?
'Has this girl always been so hot?' Lucky couldn't help but think. Maggie looked like a tall yet dainty young woman with luscious lips, thin golden hair that fell onto a slim waist and not very slim hips. Her bewitching smile threatened to capture Lucky's heart for its own amusement.
"Pretty…" was Lucky's only response, baffling not only himself but the others as well. Since when did Kasino ever get distracted by women? This was very unusual. Maggie's face turned crimson, but she refused to break eye contact no matter how shy she felt. It's as if her eyes were glued to Lucky's position. This boy had never looked at her so intensely, and she couldn't get enough of it.
"Something is… different about him now…" thought Maggie inwardly. The way today's Kasino was looking at her made her body hot for the first time in her life. She wasn't sure what this feeling meant.
Lucky was utterly distracted the moment he laid eyes on Maggie. However, once Lucky remembered Tony's actions, his face grimaced as he looked back at the empty space where the wormhole vanished. What was that guy hiding? How dare he pretend to be so weak?
"Yo, Big Luck, quickly come look!" said Capp, pulling Lucky to his feet, "Check out the walls! We think it's the final blessing! It doesn't seem to belong to anyone of us. It must be waiting for you or Tony!"

8 241The Fate of The Summoned (being ReWritten)
The Fate of The Summoned In the world of Aethion things are vastly different than on Earth. There is Magic and Monsters, as well as Demons and Dragons. Throughout the history of the world there have been many wars, both between all the various nations and kingdoms and between those nations and kingdoms and the Demonic forces lead by a Demon King or Lord. There are times that the Demons gain so much more power than the other nations, or that the others are embroiled in a war against each other and the lone nation is targeted by the demons. It was during these occasions that the various Gods and Goddesses started giving two things to the races. The First of these things were the Blessings, magical blessings given to the worth for chosen things. The Second of these things were the Summoning rituals, magic rituals that could summon beings from somewhere else, that would be Chosen, by the gods. These beings have almost always come from our world, Earth. It has been centuries since this practice began and the countries of the world have almost always flourished for a time after a Chosen or group of them were Summoned. All of the countries treat the Summoned well, almost like kings or princes in their own right. Well, not all countries, there are some that have treated them almost like slaves, though those countries don’t usually last long. There is one though, that has lasted, for a long time due to their connection to their Patron Deity, the Goddess of Light. They only accept certain types of Summoned and they dote on certain members of the country more than others. Several years ago they performed a summoning, as they were being plagued by overflow from the dungeons. Now they, like the other countries of Aethion, have performed the ritual to fight against the current Demon King, who is said to possess a Blessing. This is a story about Fate, and those that fight against it and those who accept it. In this story the main character(s) do not fight their fate, like those in my other story, rather they embrace it and let it shape them, though that does not mean they are total slaves to it. While there will be similarities to most other Hero sumoning novels, i hope the Mcs abilities and such will make it unique.
