"But you need to learn to use your capabilities" Frank continued and turned to look at Winston.
"Can you just fly in the air and see where is the way to get out of here?" Frank said nervously
Winston stares at him for a moment with confusion, and then he closes his eyes, but nothing happens. He opened his eyes and looked at Frank with embarrassment, and tried again but nothing happened.
"I don't know how to do it. Maybe power also doesn't work here" he said looking at him.
"You don't know how to use your powers, do you? " Frank said with wide eyes
"And also power works here perfectly, it's just we can't get out of here through the portal" he continued.
"So now what should we do then?" Winston asked
"Well keep trying. It's a normal thing that you are facing. You just need more focus to use it properly" Frank said and started climbing on a broken wall.
Winston keeps trying again and again but nothing happens. Suddenly he got into the air for a moment, he didn't know how he did it but he was in the air for a moment and saw a way out, and fell to the ground as he lost his focus.
Frank couldn't help but laugh a little, and Winston looks at him with an annoying face. And said,
"I found a way out"
Frank steps down from the wall and starts following Winston out.
Manasa is the goddess of snakes, she lives in another dimension. Only those who have mastered the space element can travel to another dimension of hell. Space is the last element out of five to master, after which demons usually become the devils. When the devil wants to torture someone, they throw them into this dimension, where the most dangerous snakes live. They have evolved and developed monstrous capabilities here. Whoever comes here gets hunted by these snakes.
Manasa herself is the snake with five heads of a woman attached to the single snake body. She walks along with the thousands of snakes, who act according to her commands.

Most of the people the devil throws here are the demons who either betrayed him or were too ambitious. They still have their power here, but cannot get out of here. So they have to live here running away from the monstrous snakes and Manasa, so they don't get hunted.
Frank and Winston came out of the collapsed fort, into the forest. They could hear the water flowing at some distance. Frank put his hand inside his pocket and took out a bottle of nectar and drank a sip from it. Winston also took out a case of cigarettes and lit one from them.
"I thought you quit, as you haven't smoked in a long time," Frank said, putting back the bottle into his pocket.
"I didn't, I just don't remember to smoke any more. Winston said, inhaling the smoke inside.
Frank looked at him with wide eyes,
"I don't feel many things anymore, the way I used to feel. And after fighting with Lanark everything just changed drastically. I feel so light. Before I used to smoke to feel light, after becoming a demon, I already felt lighter. The guilt and worry are getting less every day" Winston continued.
"It must feel great to be powerful?" Frank asked curiously.
"Sometimes it does, sometimes you are just scared to lose it. It's the thing about power, you will know it, Frank. It won't be long when you have your powers" Winston said, looking into his eyes.
Frank smile softly and said,
"My mind is my power, Winston" and Winston smiled looking at him affirmatively.
They start walking silently towards the river.
"Sometimes I think that I am losing myself in this pursuit of power", Winston said while walking beside Frank, they looked at each other with silence
"I never felt so powerful before. When we were fighting Lanark and I made that shield of air around us, that moment was very different. It was like there are two of me inside me" Winston paused to look at Frank, while Frank was looking at him in the sense that makes Winston comfortable to talk further.

"One is scared and weak while another is strong, clear and bold. I have seen pain and helplessness very closely, so I always feel scared that I might not do something bad to someone, who is helpless or in pain. But at that moment something just came to me, a clarity, and with that clarity, I felt so powerful. But I also felt that I am losing something on the way. Something that makes me who I am" Winston continued without taking any breath and Frank was listening to him very carefully.
They both walk another few moments in silence, the sound of water striking rock and flowing through it is getting louder. They can feel the wetness in the air that the water droplets created. The smell turned a little humid, and their legs were taking slow steps to reach for cold water in the river.
"Whatever you are feeling is quite normal. Power changes people. I would say that power reveals to people who they are deep inside, beneath all that lies and the fake image they have created of themselves" he looked at Winston with a soft smile on his face and Winston was looking at him nervously.
"But, as you say that you are scared to lose yourself, it says a lot about you. It says a lot about you. You don't want to turn like others who get blinded by their power and start abusing it towards the weak" he continued trying to shy away Winston's nervousness.
A faint smile spread on Winston's face, and they reached the bank of the river. Water was flowing rapidly through stones.
"Now what?" Winston asked looking at Frank, and he looked back at him with a smile and said,
"Let's just walk along the river, and we might find something or someone"
Winston didn't say anything, he just smiled back and started walking with Frank.

Fiona and Winston were kissing each other passionately. They were at some beach, and Fiona was wearing a red bikini, while Winston was wearing shorts.
Sea waves touch their feet and shake them. But they were completely unaware of it, dipped into each other. Sun was almost setting, creating a red scattered light in the sky. And the whole sea looked like blood with its reflection in it.
There was no one on the beach. The place looks like it is yet to be discovered by the people. Free from all the after-party things that people left behind after their vacation. Only clear sand, shining with the last rays of the sun.
They both were softly touching each other's lips like they were scared that they might hurt each other. After a few minutes, they both stopped and separated their lips slowly from each other. But they were looking like they were still craving for more of it.
They slowly opened their eyes and looked at each other. Both of them were blushing like a seventeen-year-old falling in love for the first time. Their eyes were shining with happiness. Winston curled his fingers through her hair and she felt his touch on the back of her ear.
Her hair was loose and came till just above her waist, it was spread all over her back. Winston put his hand around her shoulders, and they started walking on the beach, through the tides hitting their bare legs and rubbing them with foam.
Fiona curled her arm around Winston's back, and she was touching his stomach with her fingers.
After their last meeting in Beijing. On one fine evening, Fiona called Winston out of the blue. Winston also thinks about calling her a few times. But he thought about Dang Lee and the business that they are building together.

Meek
After failing as an apprentice cooper and a town guard, Eli finds his place at the Rockbridge archives. Sure, he's the oldest 'junior scribe,' but he likes the job. And he's good at it, too. Then he completes an apparently-insignificant project, and the brutal reaction shocks him--with consequences that eventually shake the world. Eli gains powers. Rare and inhuman abilities. He progresses slowly, steadily, and not without setbacks. He changes, too. Is he a hero, a villain, a human, a monster? Depends who you ask. Meek is an epic fantasy with elements of progression. The basic magic is simple: five Paths, each with a different powerset. However, complexity arises from combinations, and the protagonist wields a magic all his own. Meek is set in the Valley, the only (as far as anyone knows) human empire that survived a Final Battle against a terrible foe. The Valley is warded against infiltration, but the enemy learned how to warp human souls, to foment discord within. However, another soul is also ... changed. Perhaps even 'warped.' And that soul is starting on a long (long, long) path that might, one day, prove that the Final Battle wasn't so final after all.
