Chapter 5 - Aran’s first awakening
“ATENTIONNNNN!!!!!!”
“These low born brats have decided to rebel against the Burger King! Watch what happens before you decided whether to follow their path or not!”
Bzzzt Bzzzt.
One body goes down smoking. Two bodies… 10… 100...Aran was going to be number 121. At that moment, Arab got shaky as he turned to Maha, number 169 and asked “Hey Maha, what do you think happens when someone dies?”
“They crumble to dust and leave you forever.” Maha answered without thinking. Maha realized that Aran was 10, not an adult. For him to have so much charisma at a young age, he must be a hero, and Maha had to do something to save him. That was the purpose Maha had discovered. His reason for existence beyond finding his creator. He will be the guardian of the heroes.
Aran shakily looked at the vile creature in human skin who held the remote with a look of ecstasy as he peered at the family members in the audience. He didn't say anything.
“Hey Aran, if you had enough power to break off these seals and escape, what would you do?”
For a moment, Aran didn't answer, as if he lost hearing from being nervous. Then with a resolute gaze that belonged to Someone at least 3x his age, he looked up and said “I would free everyone from this place.” As if he forgot that he had 20 minutes left to live.
“In that case, repeat after me. You must remain resolute through the words. If you trip up on a word, you'll break the spell.” Maha felt Aran’s determination and decided to temporarily contract Aran for a little while.
“ I Aran Liberality, agree to form a temporary contract with Maha, the Spirit king ruler of weapons. By offering up my mana and qi, to form a connection of trust by which we will be connected. Henceforth, I am thou. Thou art I. We are one. May this binding contract hold until the night is over, and sun hath been brought anew.”

The power sealing cuffs dropped from Aran and Maha. The cuffs became over loaded in power and flew off of their own volition.
Just as the number 120th person died, Aran opened his eyes with a fierce look. Holding a Guandao, he proceeded up the steps. He got on stage and proclaimed
“I am Aran Liberality! Noble in spirit and mind! I shall purge this land of you vile creatures!”
Aran had awoken stage 1 courage- the valiant knight.
