Chapter 3 - Identity crisis. Steelrun city.
Maha took the fish out of the water, and played with it. The fish struggled, but couldn't escape his steel grip. After a while, the fish in his hand stopped moving. It too turned into grey ashes and crumbled to bits.
What was going on? Why did the fish just disappear like that? Why does no one like poor Maha? Everyone leaves him. Even the children which seem to be more loved by animals, didn't like Maha.
Maha decided to understand the fish better by stay with them. He stayed in child form as he dove into the water and swam along side with the fish. His movements were extremely awkward, but he still glided in the water like a javelin in water.
Maha followed the fish, but for some reason they never left the water. When Maha forcefully brought them out, they would leave Maha. If Maha didn't touch them, they would just lay there unmoving. Once he did, they crumbled away.
Maha once again ponder over life and death. What make someone alive? Is it the ability to move on their own? Maha could do that, but Maha doesn't drown or die due to lack of it.
Was it the ability to eat? Maha had no need for it, but could if he wanted to. Actually he wasn't too sure about that.
What was Maha?
Maha is Maha, and Maha will get to the bottom of this.
……
After hours of contemplation, Maha continued to follow the trail of the duo that he first met.
Maha passed by many people wearing the oddest assortment of clothes. People wearing clothes that don't match like a hoodie and a ankle length chain mail skirt.
Maha tried to talk to one, but the person just froze and didn't move, Maha thought that the person had just been a mirage, as the figure became blurry until it disappeared from Maha’s sight.

Was that person alive? Maha turned to look at the others, but they too disappeared. Gone. Maha was alone again. Maha felt an identity crisis. One where had had to figure out his purpose in life. What happens once he finds his creator? Will he become a mindless weapon thereafter?
What if he dies? Can he die? Should he liberate weapons from their enslavers? Maha began wandering aimlessly away from the path of travel.
He eventually ended up at the entrance of a big city called Steelrun. It was originally the home of the dwarves after being enslaved, but now it was full of slaves from all manners of living beings with limbs.
Humans went mining along with monsters like trolls, orcs, goblins, ogres, and such. Borses, horses raised to take on burden of good(well liked by merchants), dragged carts around to collect and move all the harvested steel. Birds that were raised like the borses carried the carts off to different locations. The warden, a human, held a phone looking remote as he tapped buttons with a serious face. When a bell sounded out, everyone gave a relieved sigh and sauntered back into the residential area.
The warden shouted “listen up you maggots! We are behind shipments by 5%! You will all go back in there are get that last 5% or there will be punishment!”
A woman who heated that collapsed and cried with her sooty tear stained face. The soot covered her deathly pale face that was nearly as white as the skull that has been defined by starvation.
“But warden, the mine deposit has almost run dry! If we keep mining at this rate, the mines will just become a cave! this-” sounded from a man in the back.
Bzzzt!!Bzzzt!!
“AAAAUURGHHHHHHHH!!!!!! AAAAAA!!!!!!! AAAAAAaaaa….”
“Take away the dead body” the warden said after ruthlessly shocking the man to death with the push of a button.
“Naturally I am aware of the issue you are worried about, but young master burger has demanded that you keep the mining rate up. He doesn't care how it's done, just do it. The dwarves had an infinite deposit, and so shall we!” Declared the warden “now get back in there!!!”
With crying and shocking coming from parts of the crowed who wanted to escape, the other people shuffled in the mines again.
