Kira came to the academy. Everyone was shocked why someone is letting him in; no one in the mage academy knew that Kira was invited by Prince Akira.
Everyone was afraid of Kira but not Mira and Ken (for some reasons). Ken thinking "How come others in the class knows about him, How is that possible?". They both were haff-mages (Haff mage is a title given to talented young people who are confirmed to be powerful mage). Ken saw towards Mira and waved his head up and down as a sign to Mira then.
Mira waved her hand and started shouting.
"Hey! Here is an empty seat wanna join ?"
Kira and everyone in the class was shocked by that; Kira thinking in his mind,
"This is a bit shocking"; Then he said "Ohk..".
After that Kira goes and sits beside Ken and Mira. Homeroom teacher (He was a man around 20-22 with an average looks) comes in the class and said "It's a bit sudden but from the day after tomorrow 'Tournament of Power' is going to be held. This is the registration form - __________________________________________

After that, he passes the registration form to everyone in the class and said
"Class dismissed"
Everyone started whispering, "Why so sudden..."; "Is it because of him...". Suddenly Kuro came into the class, then everyone stopped whispering.
Kuro said "Kira do you have a minute", After that, everyone in the class stood up and started walking out of the Homeroom. It was like everyone was obeying him.
Kira was confused and started thinking
"What's happening? "
Kuro brought a glass of water with him and said -
"This is enchanted water. It will detect your magic types.

"Ahhh... Ohk... But how can I use it ?" Kira asked confusingly.
"You need to put your hand over it and try to flow your magic power in the centre of your hand".
"How can I flow my magic power?"
"You just need to concentrate on your body's energy as magic power then you can easily flow it around your body".
Kira tried to do as Kuro instructed but when he tried to do it, once again his right eye started sparkling but this time his eyes looked strange; it was looking like golden colour in the centre and white colour as normal around the eye.
Kuro was shocked "How did he awaken it in such a short time"; Kuro fell on the ground and Kira's eyes were leaking golden colour lightning like crazy. Kira was in a massive amount of pain. He sat down on his knees and said: "This is so painful".
After a minute it stopped and Kira's eye looked normal. He fell unconscious.
Something started changing in the water. Many signs of magic types appeared in water -

Kuro also brought a magic little piece of paper called 'detector'. He first stood up and touched the water with that paper to check his magic level and it showed -
Magic level - 9999+. But he noticed that paper started to burn.
"Wait... How he even has the capability to burn this thing". Said shockingly.
3 hours later (evening)
Kira woke up "Where am I? " said dizzily. Mira and Ken were with him in the medical check-up room. Ken: "You finally woke up".

"What happened back then?" Kira asked.
Mira "You were with Kuro-sensei but after that, we found you unconscious"
Kira "Ah! It's like my head is spinning and why are you calling him sensei he also just looks 15 or 16 years old"
Ken "Its a pretty long story I don't think so you care to listen to it". He just dodges the whole question so easily.
Kira thought "There is something going on here that I don't know, I need to find out that until then -".
"What is that tournament of yours ?"
Mira "Yeah! You probably don't know about it; it's a very important tournament for mages. It's happening in 3rd year in the academy. This tournament decides our rankings being a Mage. It helps us in many ways.
"But!"
"What? Kira said confusingly.
Ken "This is our first year, so this tournament should happen 2 years from now.
Kira started thinking, "Something sure is going on here".
The door opened rushingly and Kuro appeared. He was breathing very fast like he ran a marathon. He came in and said
"It's time to train"
Kira thinking "Hell No!".

Part 2 has been temporarily delayed due to me getting a frozen shoulder in the middle of June, which has been very slow to properly clear up. It is getting better, though, but Shoulder/neck is the worst set of muscles to have issues with ;( You can currently pick up most story threads after the rewritten chapters, starting from chapter 13-14 (old) Genre-wise, this is a bit hard to pin down. It's technically a Xianxia (because cultivators!), but it also veers towards Xuanhuan and has more traditional High Fantasy elements and a bit of Gods and Monsters and All Myths Are (on some levels) Valid. It also has a fairly large, ensemble cast, so if multiple point's of view are not your thing I am sorry. It won't ever really be considered 'grimdark' by any real measure of that definition but it does go to some complicated and fairly places dark occasionally, which I will note in author pre-chapter notes when expedient!. About the Author I mainly write fiction for my own hobby, it makes a nice change from academic scribbling! I started writing this quite a number of years ago. It has grown somewhat organically out of a bunch of different interests in all kinds of Mythology, World Building, Drawing Maps, Archaeology, Anthropology, History and Epic Fantasy fiction into what it is today.
