《Round Two》Chapter 9 - Preferences

Leo takes a big swig of alcohol from his cup and slams the cup back on the counter. Leo quickly slaps both hands to his face twice and opens his eyes wide. Okay, bitch. Last day as a human. Let's do this. He says before letting out an exhale and moving to exit the apartment.
Leo was meeting a fandom mutual today, or possibly another undead. Whatever it was, Leo didn't care too much; he just wanted to spend the day with another person.
…
…
Leo went to the park as planned and sat on a bench to pass the time.
Leo pulls out a cigarette and lights it before observing the people around him. Leo takes a big inhale and breathes out a cloud of smoke. There’s a lot of attractive people here today. Leo comments as he casually watches the unusual amount of bombshell women out on dates and enjoying the day.
Suddenly Leo’s eyes land on a person’s figure as if a magnet had locked his sight. She was an older woman, and Leo would guess that she was in the 30 to 40 range. She was slightly overweight and she had glasses on. She looked comfortably dressed in a wool sweater, and her trousers had a pink floral pattern. Who is that? Mommy! So curvy! And her face is so cute! Yeah, I’d cook you dinner, baby. Leo begins to think lasciviously.
If the reality was reflected properly, it would look like an old man sitting on a bench with the face of a wolf, gazing lustfully at a much younger lady. But currently, Leo was in the body of a young adult, of which he’d guess was somewhere between 25 to 30, and at the moment, the scene appeared to be of a young man with mommy issues, gazing lustfully at an older lady.

The woman looks around innocently before taking out her phone and dialing a number.
Leo’s phone begins to vibrate and Leo’s eyes widen. Don’t tell me. Is this the Undead Cult person? Leo thinks somewhat shocked. She doesn’t look undead… At least I hope she’s not… Leo thinks before answering the phone.
“Hello?” Leo says. His fingers were crossed and he was desperately praying, please be that girl, please be that girl.
“Yah, hi. I’m looking for stargazer69? This is the number she gave me.” A female voice says.
As Leo watches the older lady speak from a distance, his cheeks become hot. “Yes, this is stargazer69.” Leo says with an awkward chuckle. “And if you must know, I’m actually a man.” He says with a bitter smile.
“Oh? Really? Just from your fics, I assumed…” The voice says.
Leo raises an eyebrow. “Assumed what?” He asks, feeling a bit defensive.
“Well, I assumed you were a teenage girl who was just learning to write. I mean- I don’t mean anything by it! Your writing just seemed a little immature is all. And the story content! There was no self control, no structure! Just raw passion! There’s no way it couldn’t have been a teenage girl! I mean- Sorry! I mean no offense! It’s just that it would be weird if you weren’t a teenage girl!” The voice scrambles to say.
Leo lets out a bitter smile. My writing isn’t that bad, right? I mean, at least it’s readable? Damn, maybe I should figure out a different way to get work points. I might not be cut out for this. He thinks with a sigh.
“Are you the lady in the maroon sweater? I’m the dude on the bench. Wait, I’ll wave at you.” Leo says before waving his hands. He watches as the lady looks up and looks at him with surprised eyes before waving back.

“Okay, see you in a bit.” The voice says and the lady begins walking closer to Leo.
Leo lets out a sigh. The fire feels a little burnt out. I wish I could have gone in a little hotter. He thinks, somewhat disappointed. But Leo couldn’t do much but stand up and greet the lady with the taste of bitterness in his mouth.
Leo approaches the lady and smiles. “Hi, nice to meet you. I didn’t expect you to be a beautiful older lady.” He says smoothly, still willing to push on with the game.
The lady, caught off-guard, begins to blush. “Oh, please stop. Don’t do that, please. I’m horrible with compliments.” She says with a slight heat on her face.
Leo bows gracefully. “As you wish, my lady.” He says, continuing to press.
The lady couldn’t help but burst out into laughter. “No, really! If you keep doing that this day will just be unbearable.” She says with a wave of her hand.
Leo lets out a chuckle. “Alright. If that’s your preference. Did you want to walk around for a bit? It’s a beautiful day.” Leo says as she continues to gaze at the lady’s face.
The lady continues to blush before catching sight of Leo’s cigarette. “We can walk around after you put out that cigarette.” She says as she waves the air around her face. “It stinks! Didn’t your mother teach you to not smoke around a lady?” She says, displeased.
Leo lets out a sigh and takes one last inhale before throwing the cigarette to the ground. Why am I always attracted to the same type of women? Leo thinks, somewhat mourning over his preferences.
