《Peacekeepers (COMPLETE)》6 PERFECT FIT

They're waiting for us to pop up. I take out my pistols and a crooked smile manifests itself. Zero looks over, shaking his head, I hop up, "Fuck it!" I get one in the head and the other gets me in the shoulder. "Bolt!" Tango leans out from cover and kills the other one.
She grabs my shoulder, "Guess you're not a virgin anymore." "What?" Another turns the corner. I push my gun past her head and land a bullet in his throat. "Never mind."
*You guys upstairs?!* Zero leans into his radio, "Yeah, get up here, four guys down." Their boots clunk on the ground and a bullet hits the glass opposite to a lab's door. "Come in here, the bitch dies!" I lean in a little, a scientist has a gun to her head,
"Don't you dare!" I turn away and another bullet flies just past my cheek. A door opens in earshot while boots clunk from behind. The door closes and I march in.
Open containers, fridges and four duffel bags. Canisters of liquid nitrogen? Zero sends the other teams down the stairs and Tango finds me over a guard, "What were they trying to steal?"
I rub his dog tag, then rub my chin, "Classic terrorist cell." Tango turns, "What?" I shake my hands, "But why Nitrogen? They could have gotten fertilizer. Why hit a lab?" A team in yellow hazmat suits march in. "We need you to evacuate!" But we weren't exposed to anything.
I walk up to one and squint, "Alright, shady." They walk us down and out the way we came. "Arms up." After finish spraying, I flag down a rough woman from another team, her plate reads Foxtrot, "Hey, you guys get him?" She leans back, "Nope, he got away." I growl and she puts her hands out, "Relax we'll get him."

Tango nudges onto me, "Hey, where's Zero?" A gunshot goes off and everyone turns and waits. Zero comes on the Radio, *Suspect pulled a gun, he's gone. We got em.* I radio in, "Anything on him?" A moment passes before he replies, *He got away with a few canisters of Nitrogen.*
Foxtrot leans back, "Of course Zero got him." I raise my brow, "Why him, exactly?" She just smiles until he comes back, "Zero!" "Foxy!" They bump fists as the cleanup crew take the canisters from him.
Tango smiles, "They seem happy, what you think?" I smile, "Can already hear the church bells." She smiles and I
frown, "Did that cherry pop even phase you?" She tilts her head, then I stare off. "My first kill was devastating." "We
kill bad people, right?"
I raise my head and she cracks a smile. "I thought you wouldn't last..." She gives me that slightly offended,
feminine stare, "But- I stand corrected."
Zero comes from behind and hugs both of us, "We're clear. Let's head back out." "Let's do it." Tango gets up and zooms to the car, "Shotgun!" I slowly get up and walk towards the car, "Come on, Bolt!" Before I close the sliding
door, the hazmat crew hauls the canisters back inside like nothing happened. What a bunch of idiots.
The marshal calls in, *Theta, report!* "Yes, sir?" *How's your first official day?* I watch them laugh up front and
I push to talk, "Great, they weren't that bad in the field." *I could have them transferred, if you'd like?* They
look back smiling,
"Nah, they're a perfect fit." Tango punches the roof of the car, "Damn righ-ow!" I chuckle from the back seat and she
growls, "What's so funny?!" *Good thing I chose right. When you're done, report to Outpost Six.* There it is on the map, just off our route. "Gotcha."

Ortus (Old Version)
This is an old version of the heavily edited and rewritten Ortus This is the story of a woman named Riza. Riza is a woman who wakes up in a forest with nothing, remembering nothing, and on the cusp of death. The only thing she has is a weapon stuck in her side and, after a tangle with a wild boar, something called 'life aspect'. Little does she know that life magic is considered a dead-end branch and is largely outlawed across the world. None of this matters to her, of course. For one, even if someone tried to tell her, she doesn't know the language. Number two, have you heard about the sunk cost fallacy? Riza is not some chosen one, nor is given any boon she doesn't deserve. Instead, she's smart and methodical, and experiements on how to maximise every opportunity, every ability, presented to her. She doesn't just take things at face-value but instead explores just what limitations there are. This often involves maths.

The Girl Named Rino
Oh. Hello. I didn't see you come in. No, don't worry. I don't need to hear your name. I already know what it is. I also knew that you'd come up at around this time. But, at the same time, I also didn't know. It's very hard to put into words - but that's what happens when you become the Chaos God. Your psyche gets messed up, big time. That's even more so for me, who was already warped enough to confuse reality with imagination - and, even make the rest of the universe believe that it was so. But, enough about me. Let's talk about you. You seem to come from a very far away land. It's faint, but your presence is there - in a relatively primitive planet. No wonder, no one wanted to stay in, or conquer your region of the universe - there's nothing worth controlling there. Your existence, much like your entire solar system, also seems to be pretty insignificant. Tell me, is your race capable of destroying your own world? Oh, you're already well along the way? Global Warming? Pollution? Overpopulation? Nuclear weapons? Wow... it's been many millenia since I'd last heard of such ancient concepts from someone who is actually living through it. Still, good job getting that far. That means that your world is now, at least, worth considering as a possible place to install a World System. If I find the time, I'll try surveying it. You can just thank me, later. Oh wait! What kind of person am I, not even offering my guest any hospitality. I'm ashamed. Please, take a seat. What would you like? I have everything the multiverse has to offer, whatever it is you want - I can get. Ah! After we talk, would you mind, if I asked you to do me a tiny favor? There's this girl, I want to keep tabs on. She's in one of the Worlds that I preside over, it's called Aiarthe. But, for some reason, I can't see her - not directly, at least. All I need you to do, is check up on her from time to time. Whether you do it as a pure spectator or through someone else's eyes, is entirely up to you. Really!? You would!? Wow! Thanks! You really did me, a huge solid there! For agreeing so quickly, how about I get started on surveying that planet of yours, right now!? You can help yourself, to anything in the fridge! Well, see ya!
