《Peacekeepers (COMPLETE)》2 NICK JOINS THE BATTLE!

"Jump, damn it. Move!" The driver swerves just before it hits me. I open my eyes and the car burns rubber below me.
I exhale deep and land on the car below. The legs read my mind, They bend down and jump off. I jog off and watch them move.
The legs stumble less often now. I smile, I gotta tell Rollins! I get down on all fours. With my wings repaired, I can
soar again. I kick off and zoom, "And no one's gonna take them away from me now, they're bulletproof!" A speed trap blinks forty miles per hour and the wind blows on me in a whole new light.
Before long, I slow down to a jog through the camp and get into Rollin's tent, "Hey! Get outta her-Garvey?" He looks down at my legs, stands up and punches me. I lose my balance and fall out the tent, "You know what those people do? Why'd you just feed yourself to the wolves?!"
"I'm tired of living for nothing, stagnating. Why can't you just be happy for me?" He pokes my chest, "One more day, you have one more day here, never come back." "Rollins!" He smacks me, "You should be sorry for yourself. They do things for control, power!"
He saved my life and he thought I was spitting in his face? Fuck him. I march out and walk the streets again until a familiar sound comes from an alley.
A woman and two men are down it, "Give us whatcha got!" They try to smack her to the floor, but she reverses it and throws one to the ground instead. "Hell no!" The other man pulls out a gun, "Do what we say, bitch!"
Without a single thought, I bolt in and drop kick him before he turns around. The man's head cracks as we hit the pavement. I rise up on my 'feet' and yell, "Run!" The other man points his gun at me. Never understood why idiots monologued, "You killed my brother!"

I dive behind a dumpster as the man fires wildly until the gun clicks. My new knees bend, then spring to the side,
before I fly one of them into his chest as he's reloading. He slaps against the brick wall and I laugh, "You're a terrible
shot." I run out of the alley with blood on my hands and a grin on my face. I quickly wipe it all off.
My smile fades and the adrenaline kicks in, just like old times. "Hey man, we got the goods, follow us." Another man
waves a Geiger Counter over a suitcase. "That's just the sample, c'mon." Is this my second chance or a death wish? They shuffle to a warehouse, passing armed guards, cameras. Helicopters come closer and closer, I shake my head and laugh under my breath. They are so fucked.
"Fucking rat!" The man with the case kills the other as the helicopters fire their missiles into the building. They swoop in as troops rappel down from cords. I run up to a man and kick him into a wall like nothin. I grabbed his gun and I tried firing it into another without even thinking about it.
My hand shakes violently as I pull the trigger. Aim is shit, four shots miss and one flies into a man's head. A man with large metal arms charges at me. He just yells out and swings his arms downward without any grace. A ballsy move, pal.
A man jumps in front of me and shoots his fist into his face, sending him flying. "You alright?!" The arm's pistons slide
back, "Take on what you can kill-"
I get up, grab a gun, and kick open the warehouse doors. "Wait for us, kid!" The doors close behind me, lines of criminals greet me, "Kill that bitch!" They raise their guns and I freeze in place. I shake my head quick as they watch me in confusion, A bit more than I can chew. "Shoot him, now!" I start running fast around the room, using steel beams as cover, "Fucking little Cheetah!" I kill their men between their shots. I slam my shoulder into a beam, "And you guys don't cheat?!" I run out and somebody gets me in the leg. I try to protect my face, but I had already faceplanted on the concrete floor.

The doors fly open and soldiers flood the room. "Got a deathwish, kid?!" The man who saved me earlier flips me over, his plate reads Gladius Verez, his eyes widen at the sight of me, as if he knows me. "Believe me, staying alive's my curse."
Blood trickles down my head as troops bust in, guns blazing. A woman runs up and slides down to me, "Got one!" She fires off a few shots before she falls next to me. She grabs onto my wound and I check hers. "Miss, you'll be fine!" "But will you?! Stay with me!"
The bullets stop firing and the soldiers celebrate. The medic runs over quick, "Hold him down!" A red hot blade slides out of his metal arm, "Fuck m-" I roar with every press of blade. "Lets get him to the Raid Center." He injects me with a needle, morphine. Sweet, sweet morphine.

The Kodoku Game
In Japanese folklore, there once existed an ancient technique among alchemists for harvesting the strongest poison known to man. A poison so vicious, so horrendous, that a single drop could incapacitate an entire nation of humans, several times over. A poison so intense that a single drop could turn the tides of a war on its head. As potent as it appeared however, this poison could be harvested from the blood of a single insect alone- an insect the alchemist’s called the ‘Kodoku’. As lucrative as was attaining this poison however, the problem lied in identifying this insect- its appearance, shape and size changed from region to region and from continent to continent. Sometimes it took the appearance of a ladybug and other times a horned-beetle. In order to determine the identity of this special insect the alchemists came up with an ingenious method. They created an impregnable jar of clay out of the best sandstone they could find and placed hundreds of different insects into the same jar. The jar was made with such great mastery that it allowed no insects to escape and allowed no objects to enter. The laws of nature dictated that the insects would remain together in the jar forever. However, it turned out that as time went on, the insects’ hunger for food and power caused them to turn against each other- one insect ate another until only one remained. This sole insect contained a poison that far surpassed that of all the others and became stronger as it ate more and more insects. The alchemists at this point had succeeded in identifying the Kodoku and could extract it’s poison as long as they continued to feed it regularly. Although this folklore ends here, the actual story does not. One day, as the alchemists cheered in joy of having identified the Kodoku they so eagerly wanted, they forgot to close the lid on the very jar that was considered to be completely impregnable. This small gap was just large enough for the Kodoku inside to crawl out. Famished from not having been fed for weeks, the Kodoku ended up eating the very alchemists that nourished its growth until not even the bones remained. Yet, the Kodoku’s hunger didn’t seem to subside in the slightest. So it traveled to the next village and began eating whatever it could find there. Its poison made it unparalleled in strength and slowly but surely it began to dwindle down the population of the entire city. Yet its hunger only continued to grow. So it traveled to the next city over and ate all it could there. Very soon, the Kodoku couldn’t find any more food to eat. There was no one left to eat and no one left to spectate. So it stood there, by itself pondering what possibly was left to eat that could satiate its hunger. But there was one thing left that Kodoku realized it had never eaten. Itself.

Hardcore OP-ness
Most people pray for good health, a loving family, and to win the lottery. I asked “Can you send me to a game-like fantasy-style world? It can't be too unrealistic, but also, it would be nice if I was immortal to some degree. Oh yea, no rape or slavery either, cause then I'll have to spend the whole time trying to create a perfect society, and I'd rather not have to deal with all that nonsense. No other players either, cause that always creates a ton of annoying drama, and I just want to have a fun, relaxing, and enjoyable time.â€Three years later, after I had completely forgotten about all that… well, better late than never I suppose. The moral of this story, is to be careful what you wish for; also, cuteness is justice, so don't complain if adorable bunnies beat you to death and devour your corpse.(Warning: This story includes profanity, numbers, humanity, nudity, uncomfortable realism in a fantasy-world, awkward but mild sexual-content, descriptive violence and gore, nekomimi, necrophilia, bizarre and disturbing sexual-content, offensive language, plus all of the other things that disclaimers usually have to tell you about. Do not read this if you dislike transportation, virtual reality, fantasy, or other similar genres… or me, because I'm the author.)I'm only posting a few chapters on this site, but there are over 100 on my wordpress. https://mike777ac.wordpress.com/hardcore-op-ness/
