《Cultivation Bug Fuyo》Chapter 11 - Proud daughter of Heaven

In the village there were several Elders. Most of them were old bees that had survived the harsh competition of Bee Country. Many of them didn't bother to help support the protection barrier, after all no one would hurt them even if the village was attacked, they were much stronger than the average soldiers here.
The only ones that went to defend the village were the actual residents themselves and the Elders that were born and raised in this village. This village had barely any spiritual energy so nobles wouldn't want to live here. The reason all these noble elders had gathered was due to a rumor that Princess Kaguya was returning.
Among them, was a Grand Elder that held the title of Archduke which is a few ranks higher than Captain Deddo. Captain Deddo held the rank of Marquis but the difference between them was like Heaven and Earth. The Grand Elder could easily chop off his head so cleanly that not a single drop of blood would touch his sword.
Even though they were being attacked he never lifted a finger to stop them. Everyone knew about his cold demeanor, his name was Pietra Fredda which means cold stone. A quirky nickname that perfectly described his personality.
Wars happened quite frequently in Bee Country.
The Grand Elder had lived a long time, experienced numerous battles over the years and grew immune to its effects. Wars aren't frowned upon in Bee Country; they are encouraged because the Bee population grows incredibly fast.
With more than a thousand Queen Bees in Bee Country one could only image how many new Bees are born every day. Without a culling every now and then the population would be uncontrollable.
Despite this, the Bee Country was vast and beautiful. Bees are natural pollinators so despite the destruction they cause, the grass, flowers and trees grew back with incredible speed. In a month, you wouldn't even know there was a large scale war here.

One thing Pietra Fredda didn't quite comprehend was the reason for the attack. This village has never been attacked before because it's resources are extremely poor, the spiritual energy around the area was basically non existent that's why the majority of the citizens here are weak and brittle.
For a village this size they should have at least ten or twenty million spirit warriors but that wasn't the case. It's amazing that a genius like Kaguya could actually grow in a village like this.
Back inside the Asgardian Seal things had really heated up or cooled down in a sense.
"Primordial Return, Jotun!" He yelled ferociously. His veins grew and pulsed with a blue light as energy moved around his body. His spirit grew tens of times its original size, his body reached into the very heavens themselves. Jotun was a seal that he placed on his soul to limit his own powers, now he unleashed his full wrath without holding anything in reserve.
"Heed my call, Ice Hell!"
A massive surge of cold air exploded from his body. It was visible to the naked eye. The clouds in the sky started changing and condensing into massive snowflakes. The snowflakes radiated the power of bitter coldness and death.
The cold fell from the snowflakes like rain as blue airwaves assaulted their senses and made their bodies completely numb. The spreading frost now spread even faster!
His actions didn't stop there as he continued to form more seals in the air. Different colored lights danced around his body like lightning. The light condensed and formed into various rings.
The villagers and the guards watched on from the safety of their village.
"Sp..Sp...Spirit Rings, and so many of them."
Their Princess was definitely someone amazing to have such a powerful guardian spirit.

"Hmm..." The Grand Elder frowned, "Kaguya sure has grown powerful, in a few more years she will surpass me. Her new sword spirit is fearsome. Where did she get it from? So many spirit rings and a domain to boot."
At this point his heart felt like it had sunk. He didn't know why but he felt a powerful energy wave blow from the direction Kaguya flew in.
"Fire qi! Fire qi is the opposite of Kaguya's Ice energy. Then it must be an attack from Captain Deddo." A trace of worry appeared.
"Grr... It's so powerful that I can feel the heat from here." The Grand Elder flew into the sky and sped away from the village. He didn't care about anyone in the village but Kaguya was different, she was his own flesh and blood. He didn't think she would have trouble dealing with Captain Deddo but that energy was fearsome enough to scare even himself.
He grew visibly anxious as he cut through the air. His wings beat so fast that they were invisible. His heart started to ache the longer he flew. He could see the flames now, they continued to soar high into the sky reaching the 1,000 meter mark. It was like a radiant sun had crashed down to the earth.
All of this happened in the space of a few seconds but it felt like time had slowed down. Tears streamed down the Grand Elders face but he didn't know why. "She's not dead is she? She can't be dead!" He was only a few minutes away from her but he still burnt some of his life blood to increase his speed.
Some of the other Elders took longer to realize what had happened so they stood there aloof, watching the battle inside the Asgardian Seal until they saw the pillar of flames. They started chasing after the Grand Elder but they were many times slower. Tears started to stream down their faces as well.
Kaguya was their gift from Heaven, she was the most talented cultivator seen in years. The only thing she needed was time to develop. They huffed and puffed as their bodies spurred forth in desperation.
She was like their own daughter, they dotted on her with extreme love and care. She was kind to everyone but her enemies. Even though she was a Princess she treated the commoners with respect. Everyone loved her.
Not to mention her beauty, if there was no light then she would be the sunshine. Her smile would shine for a thousand miles. Everything about her was perfect, from looks to temperament, from talent to ability.
Fuyo didn't know what constituted a pretty Bee but if there was such a thing, then she was it.

Drinker of the Yew: A Necromancer's Tale
Updates Once a Week next update 10/5 Wracked with misfortune, a nameless village along the edge of the Gray Spine rejoiced at the arrival of a paladin. Those celebrations, though, turned to wary tension as the paladin brought an unknown into their midst - his wife Nayinis, who wears the markings of a necromancer. Who is this woman? Why has she come to their village? Nayinis divulges her shadowed past, for she needs the village's trust to defeat the powerful foe that she has been summoned by the divine to face. What to expect: This is a slow-paced, dark, epic-fantasy book written mostly in an archaic first-person style, remniscent of fariy-tale at times. I am expecting the final product to be close to 600-700 pages. The first few chapters introduce a somewhat-steep learning curve of names and mythology of the world that plateaus at aroud chapter 5.
