《Cultivation Bug Fuyo》Chapter 7 - Two opposing forces

"Urgh, I should've dodged instead of blocking, I was overconfident. What's wrong with me? I'm really off my game. I feel like an idiot." He mumbled under his breath. It was quite normal for him to be off his game, he was still stressed from dying and transmigrating.
He coughed up a mouthful of blue blood and slowly pulled himself up.
"Awoooo, Fuyo! You are alive. I'm sorry; I thought you would've dodged." Snort "I was just trying tah" snort "knock some sense back into ya."
"Why didn't you dodge? You are all scruff'd up and there's a big hole in your stomach. But more importantly, you can't apologize to those three wantons, I won't let you!" A look of seriousness was plastered on fatty's face.
"So you are saying that's more important than the gaping, giant bleeding hole in my body?" Fuyo sighed and coughed up another mouthful of blood.
"Who said I was going to apologize to them in the first place? I'm going to apologize to mother, baka."
Fatties face turned pale as he muttered, "Oh, your mother? Then I better let you get to back to it." He propped up his little wings then flew off at top speed without offering a single word of apology.
"What a strange fellow, maybe it's best not to include him in my army. He might kill me on a whim." Fuyo looked down at his wound; it didn't seem to hit anything important but it was still bleeding quite a bit.
Fuyo noticed a little black and white light jumping around within his blood. It seemed to burn his blood and slightly slowed down the bleeding. If he left it alone it would probably stop bleeding and close up in a few hours, but by then he would have bled to death.

He started wobbling down the pathway. In front of him were massive palisades spanning several hundred kilometers. The gates were made of white crystals and appeared very strong, they were 6 meters high and behind the walls were various 30 meter high guard towers. Seeing the gates trigged another memory flash in Fuyos head.

"'Attack!" roared a red bee. He lifted up his four arms, gathered up his energy and slammed it down. Red energy flew from his palms and blew away 300 white bees. The bees that were struck directly had their bodies burst into red flames. It was a frightening scene!
Despite the horror Fuyo was excited. "Magic!" Fuyo exclaimed in his heart. Bees can use magic in this world. What kind of crazy concept is that? If he had a human face right now, his smile would be akin to a smiling toddlers.
His smile rose so high that his cheek nearly strangled his eyes.
These deadly red flames matched this bee, he was ferocious; he had sharp white teeth, two horns protruding from his head, his wings were transparent black with red veins pulsing up and down them. They were sharp unlike normal bees; his tail was long and at the end of it laid a sharp bee stinger.
It was easy to see the advantage this bee would hold over bees. His stinger wasn't stagnant; it could attack from a distant and each attack had more freedom. His teeth were sharp, his wings could move faster, and his magic was frightening!
That sort of power was incomparable to anything Fuyo had seen before.
With his Gurren combined with Tengan Toppa and Lagann's sword he could theoretically cut down 100 people in a baker's breath. Of course he never tried this out, he never had the chance!

But this little black bee had done three times the damage in less time than it takes to blink.
The white bees started to run around in a panic, they quickly made their way towards the gates. Sirens started sounding out as guards flew into the air with weapons in hand ready to defend their village.
A white color formation with hundreds of various symbols appeared in the sky and covered the entire village. The white crystal walls slowly eroded and gave their energy to the shield. It seems like the crystal walls are the power source for the shield but at this rate it wouldn't last more than 2 days.
If they couldn't fend off the enemy in 2 days then the shield would break and the normal villagers would come under attack too.
"Defend the city!" screamed a white bee guard.
These white bees look very normal; the only difference is their pure white fur. Compared to the red bees with horns, teeth and tails they seemed very mediocre and docile.
The red bees and the white bee guards were equipped with standard equipment, the left two hands held two shields and the right two hands held two rusty swords. Some larger bees held spears but that was it.
There were at least 3 times as many white bees than red bees. But contrary to popular belief the white bees were actually losing the battle despite their overwhelming advantage in numbers.
Fuyo couldn't be certain, but he guessed there were around 3,000,000 white bees and 1,000,000 red bees. It was a very large army.
"Pathetic! What kind of army is this?" Fuyo thought to himself.
Among the red bees, only one was capable of using magic for large scale attacks. The other red bees paled in comparison. They mostly used their magic to strengthen their weapons.
"Fools, what's the point in strengthening rusty old weapons? You could polish a turd but it's still a turd at the end of the day."
It seems magic isn't that easy to use, but that one bee who could wield its awesome powers could probably fight the entire army by himself given enough time.
But something was strange; he was just hanging at the back of the group. Not making a move, just watching. He didn't issue anymore orders or use anymore magic attacks.
After 2 days of intense fighting, the shield started to show signs of breaking. 10 or so age old bees flew out from the village center, sat down cross legged and started meditating. Energy ripples started to emit from their bodies and the fluctuations in the shield stopped.
The intense battle continued on for another day. The elder bees started to show signs of wear and tear. Their bodies had started burning away their fat as they held the shield up. If this persisted for another week then they would turn into shriveled corpses.
But Fuyo couldn't stand it, he had enough!

NEVER SPLIT THE PARTY: The Adventures of The Creeping Bam (BOOK ONE: The Job)
TAO is a broken world held together with nothing but magic and the will of the gods who protect it and its people. Then thousand years ago THE SUNDERING struck and Tao was almost torn apart by a terrible magical cataclysm which resulted in the planet almost being halted in its journey through the cosmos. It took all the power the gods of Tao could muster to restore its orbit and set it turning again, but in their efforts it was forever changed – its axis was drastically altered, and it now spins in such a way that one face of the world is forever turned from the sun it orbits, leaving half the planet in perpetual darkness. The various humanoid races that survived and now thrive within the habitable parts of THE DAY LANDS have come to live in perpetual fear of what lives beyond THE BORDERLANDS that separate them from whatever dwells within THE NIGHT LANDS, but for ten millennia it has kept its secrets. The land of RUNDAO languishes under the rule of their warlike Northern neighbours, the TEKTEHRAN EMPIRE, while a small, ragtag band of motley adventurers ply their mercenary trade fighting monsters and protecting the common man from the various dangers that haunt the night and prowl the hinterlands on the edges of civilization. THE CREEPING BAM have amassed a modest reputation in their years together, but they’re still just a small-time party of sellswords, thieves, outcasts and mages. They’re also exactly the kind of underdogs the people of Tao doesn’t yet realise are needed to save the world from the encroaching darkness they doesn’t even know is coming … This is a love letter and homage to the high-fantasy worlds of the tabletop RPGs like Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder and Warhammer and the sword & sorcery cinema and literature I fell in love with as a kid growing up in the 80s, from Robert E. Howard’s Conan the Barbarian (and the awesome Schwarzenegger movie, STILL my favourite fantasy film EVER), The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit and Ron Howard and George Lucas’ Willow, to the more grown-up and edgy worlds of grimdark masters George RR Martin and (my all-time favourite) Joe Abercrombie, as well as a BIG DOLLOP of Terry Pratchett’s immortal Discworld series. IMPORTANT: This story contains material which some readers may consider to be mature, such as battle violence, some strong language and occasional mild sexual scenes. If this is not your kind of thing, this story is not for you. I am also serializing this story on Tumblr, Wattpad, Quotev and Sweek.
