Alphine jumped up when he saw his pointy-eared friend “Alvar you’re back!” cried out the human “Uh yeah…I was looking for some food since we ran out of crab roots, but never mind that, who’s that child?” He asked with a lifted eyebrow. “Funny you ask, so basically I was also looking for” the human was explaining before being interrupted by the little girl “he broke into my house…” she summarized in monotone while pointing a finger towards the human.
The messy-haired boy quickly cocked his head to the child “Oh excuse me for not expecting people to live in the ruins of a village!” he yelled while waving his hands in the air, she looked at him blankly waiting for him to realize, after a good five seconds it clicked with the human boy “Look we’re different” he clicked his tongue with his arms crossed and his head facing away from the child.
“Huh, I see.” Alvar said, suddenly he began scratching the back of his head “I still have one question?” he asked before continuing “who are you?” he said pointing to the pink-haired girl. After a brief summary, similar to that of the one she gave to Alphine, it was getting dark.
Both the mysterious child and the short human were sitting around a small fire created by the slightly blue-skinned elf who himself was fairly close to the fire because he was throwing the bark snake on the stone slab, which itself was covered in all sorts of funky oils that came out of the few herbs that were collected by the dark-haired elf.
As soon as the snake made contact with the oil, the creature began to sizzle as well as curl up into a tight spiral shape much like how a spider curls its legs when it dies. A few minutes passed before Alvar flipped the bark snake to sear the other side, after another minute or two he took the slab off the fire and broke the snake into smaller chunks, “Food’s done” the elf called out. Alphine walked over to the slab before sitting down with his legs crossed. The sky was now flooded with darkness due to the night outside, the only light was coming from the small crackling fire in the center of the room.

The pink-haired girl looked out the window hole, feeling the cold air gently spread across her face, she began slowly walking towards the door before pushing it open, she took one step outside the house before taking a deep breath of the cold air she heard a voice call out behind her “You comin’…? the food is going to get cold and I’m hungry.” Alphine called out.
The mysterious child turned around to see both the human and the elf sitting on both sides of the stone slab waiting for her. She paused before opened her mouth “I didn’t know you’re into eating with little girls you just met…creep” she said her smile on her face while stepping into the home once again before sitting down in between the two homeless lads.
The human boy turned into a statue due to the shock he recieved upon hearing that akward attempt at a joke. Alvar broke his food eating stick he used for the crab roots in half, giving one half to the child “Thanks” said the yellow eyed girl. The elf replied with a nod.
Suddenly Alphine jumped up to his feet, pointing a finger at the child “YOU SMILED EVEN IF IT WAS AT YOUR QUESTIONABLY DECENT ATTEMPT AT A JOKE, I SAW YOU SMILE!” he yelled, the child looked at him with the same face as usual “didn’t” she said in her void of life voice. The dirty haired boy looked over to his elf friend for backup “You saw them smile right!?” The spiky-haired elf shrugged with his eyes closed and a wide grin spread across his face “I dunno…”
While Alphine was waving his hands frantically repeating the event that had happened Alvar turned his head in the direction of the pink-haired girl “So what’s your name, kid?” he asked, “Lilith Gräber” replied the pink-haired girl. “I see, I’m Alvar and this is my friend Alphine,” he said pointing to the now sitting on the floor human.

Lilith looked at the two “So I’m guessing you guys are escaped slaves.”
she said with a blank expression. “Was it that obvious?” Alvar asked, scratching the back of his head, Alphine gave him a shocked look “I don’t think most people walk around in blood-covered, slightly chewed up and torn clothes but that might be just me.” the human thought to himself.
The yellow-eyed girl looked at both of them “I mean… Alvar you’re wearing very cheap and roughly made clothing and Alphine you look like a funky shroom addict.” said the little girl plainly pointing a finger at the duo before the two could say anything, the pink-haired child opened their mouth again “So then that makes me wonder…what’s your plan?” Lilith asked.
Alvar looked at his human friend giving him a look to explain, Alphine looked at the child “The current plan is to find a town or village that isn’t destroyed, then maybe find a job an-” the human's speech was interrupted by the child “No I mean what’s your personal plan, finding a village and getting a job is a basic thing that everyone plans of doing.” she said pointing at both of them.
The human looked at his pointy-eared friend gesturing him to go first, Alvar nodded before standing up and pointing at the roof “I want to be the toughest so no one else has to!” he yelled out into the sky most likely scaring some bugs around the house. Lilith nodded before looking over to the dirty-haired child.
Alphine scratched his chin “What’s my plan eh…” he thought to himself for a few seconds, after a minute the human remembered, he smiled before opening his mouth and also standing up however instead of pointing at the sky he pointed at Lilith “I want to be something!” he called out.
The pink-haired child looked at them with her usual expression “damn both of those plans seem generic…” she said in a monotone, both Alvar and Alphine collapsed on the ground shocked at what this fifteen-year-old looking child said about their plans. Lilith ignored the two because her focus was being locked on the chunks of bark snake due to her hunger.
Lilith grabbed the food stick she got from Alvar which she unconsciously placed on the ground, back up, and stabbed it into a medium-sized chunk of bark snake meat before lifting the twig now with the piece of a snake on it to her open mouth. The child began to chew on the meat before opening her mouth to give Alvar her feedback on the meal “The meat is nice and stretchy and a bit tough but the herbs you used are known to release oils that make the thing you are cooking fairly bitter and slightly sour, I know this from reading about plants but aside from the flavor..it's pretty okay." she concluded.
“T-th-thanks I guess” Alvar replied still in shock.
