The new group of four moved out into spawn point, the armoured skeletons were still ever-present aong the floor in the open cavern. Now though, the side of it was collapsed and a clear opening to the outer maze was evident. The area was no longer hidden to the outside world.
"The orcs here died protecting their children against tyrants only wishing to control them. They claimed their lives as forfeit, thinking the creation of their race gave the right to do so."
Swift went and looked at a silver armoured corpse. "So the silver ones where the invading high elves and the black armoured ones where the orcs?"
The dryad nodded in reply.
"They held well but lost so many compared to the elves."
Adil added the dryad to a party with just a thought and she became an icon on his mental map. her eyes glowed white for a moment and it looked like she understood what happened.
"Your magic is strange squire." She said. He gave a smirk in reply.
Adil noticed how he was still unable to see Swift as a party member, he tried mentally adding him but a prompt came up
*unable to add party member, compatibility issues*
"What did you do to Swift? I cant add him to the group" He asked the dryad.
"When he said he wanted to help, I had to separate him from anything that could be used to spy. I was not about to trust a man that killed so many of the ones I was trying to help."
"can you undo it?"
She shook her head in response. Whatever she did destroyed their bond and she had no idea how to fix it.
Adil walked over to Swift and tried to sense with his mana where the problem lay. he could feel a fire, a burning essence contained in a solid shell. "If I connect to you I can fix the problem and add you to the party, but it might hurt, and I think I see your personal memories." He said to Swift.

Swift was slightly awkward on hearing that. "I guess it's alright. I dont have anything to hide but it seems a bit intrusive you know?." He said.
"Well if you don't want to do it I don't want to pressure you."
"No, it's fine. just a bit weird." He replied then held out his hands closing his eyes. Adil focused on his mana and reached out, connecting to the essence within Swift. He tried to open pathways clearly shut and filter out the foreign mana blocking the way. His consciousness drifted and he ended up in a pub back in Earth.
"You, know, if you just went traveling you would really change yourself. like seeing Iceland really made me realize who I was and where I came from you know?" The lady said to Thomas.
They were on the outside of a pub drinking and talking. It was a memory Adil realized of his, he wasn't sure when. It felt so strange.
"Yeah, that sounds great but I don't think traveling is something for me though. I wouldn't want to be on my own walking around. I could just be lonely and I can do everything I want here." he said lifting a drink and taking a sip.
"It's just, you find out who you really are, you know. Like, I visited all these spiritual places and really took it all in. This material world with phones and computers can really damage the soul."
"Yeah, I get what you're saying but I find it really hard to think that way and I don't have the time off work, or the money.."
"Typical Libra. You know I'm a Gemini, astrology is the new science and i think it will really help you." The lady said.

"That makes, yeah, I'm gonna get another drink." Thomas said. he downed the rest of his cider and walked inside.
Thomas saw a shorter man put down a drink before he tied his shoelaces a few men walked by and one of them picked it up. The shorter man walked over to the others and grabbed their attention.
"I, wh, was drinkin, that." the shorter man said to the man. He was pointing to the drink the person had in his hand.
"This drink, Nah mate this is mine." the man replied.
"I s, s, saw."
"Mate, this is mind sweep rules. You can't leave your drink on the table anybody can take it."
"th, that, that's not fair."
A couple of other men got up from close tables and walked over to the two.
"Is he giving you trouble?"
"H, he, h, he stol, my drink." Said the shorter man.
"Shut up you retarded fuck, I was talking to the brother." said the man, similar badges on all three. Thomas had bought his other drink and walked over to the men.
"Jesus Christ. The fuck are you assholes doing." Thomas said.
"What did you just call us?" said a badge-wearing man. Thomas recognized them, it was some political party he had seen before.
"The fuck do you think I said, you stupid sack of shit." The one on the left punched him in the face, as his consciousness faded he heard the words "fucking traitor."
He woke up a while later, resting on the floor of a police cell. The stuttering short man across from him was resting on the floor.
"Your tinder date left said she didn't want to associate with violent types." The policeman said.
Thomas groaned as he got up from where he lay, seeing a pack of ice to the side he put it over the side of his swollen face.
"What happened?
"You're in a police cell, you can leave anytime. Last night you fought with the blue badge political party. Your friend over there broke 2 of their noses and smashed a glass round one of their faces."
"what the fuck." Thomas said.
The man to the side began to wake up, he also had a swollen eye. It was a younger Rob.
"You, ok mate?" Thomas said to the other man.
"Y, yeah, sorry about last night." He said.
Adil was taken back into reality with Swift and they both saw the notification appear in their vision that Swift was now in the party.
"Damn." Adil said.
"Good memories," Swift said with a smile.
"When you were passed out, I kicked the living shit out of those assholes."
The team was then ready and they left through the gaping hole to the side of the cavern and walked back towards the town.

There are many races and many new things including MAGIC! ""What happens if you give it extra oxygen?"" "What is 'oxygen' is it tasty?"AN: Hey, this is my first official novel/fiction. I plan to separate it into several books and I have it all planned out I just have to write the actual story. I'll try to post at least once a week after I upload the first 30,000 words.Although this has a Mature tag it's only slightly mature. I don't go over the top with gore there may however be sexual scenes in later chapters.Parts of this are similar to mushoku tensei but the story later diverges from the canon.
