Swift and Adil had gathered as much food as they could from the bushes nearby, only Adil had yet to be able to successfully harvest. As the night began to start they decided to set up camp. They managed to find a dead tree and quickly harvested it for flammable material placing it where they wanted to set a fire, shivering in the encapsulating cold. Swift crouched next to the stacked pile of wood and shot out a few small bursts of fire bringing forth the much-needed heat. The wood was ignited and grew a steady flame. Both of them huddled around the fire.
Swift handed out some berries to Adil.
"Watch out for the poisoned ones," he said.

Badland berry Fresh 25% increased focus
Glue berry Fresh Unknown
"I bet."
“You're not going to try the glue berry, right?” Adil asked. Noticing it was included in one of the 'unknown berries.'
“Probably not, but what about the lunar fruit.” He said, putting his hand out and showing 2 large red fruits, almost like plumbs. They appeared like they would be a lot more satisfying than the other fruit.
Adil sniffed it and even nipped a bit of the surface. It seemed to just taste a bit bitter.
"I don't trust it." He said. But saw that Swift had already huffed his in one. He furrowed his brow quickly ate the fruit thinking if they both died they would at least be able to find each other. No notifications came and so they started lying down, about to take turns on watch whilst the other attempted to fall asleep. They hung in silence unable to rest until Adil started talking.
“You know man, you’re great. You’re literally the best.” Adil said to Swift. “I fucking love you man.”

“Ayy, you’ve always been so cool, love you too dude,” Swift replied.
“Man, this place, camping in this crazy world, surrounded by the stars. Check out those moons. It's just amazing.” Adil said pointing into the sky.
The light of one of the moons was a husky red with a ring of rocks floating around it, another was larger but a grey-blue colour.
“We should just do something, right now. I’m not in the mood to just lie around, I wanna get moving.” Swift added.
“Yes mate. Let’s do it!” Adil replied, got to his feet and picked up a burning bit of wood waving it around in the air. A cascading wave of howls sounded off in the distance accompanied by a collection of growls.
“Oh my god” Swift replied. “There are dogs!!!” he exclaimed.
Before he could add anything, else Swift had run off into that direction. Adil could only follow suite, he noticed a notification pop up stating *new effects identified* and a smiling emoji icon appear in the corner of his vision.

No problem*

The Rules of Dungeoneering
The First Rule of Dungeoneering: This will kill you Sylvester Bayes, the 4th son of a small baron, has suddenly had his head filled with the memories and work of someone who had dedicated their life to memorizing every dungeon they could find and designing a new RPG system. Not about to waste these gifts, Sylvester quickly sets out to get rich quick and discover the reasons behind his sudden knowledge. (Please note, this is dressed up actual play from my testing of a tabletop RPG. It is actually how the game has gone and there is a very real chance that anyone, including Sylvester, could die in any encounter. To help make my job easier I am using dungeons written by other people, which is why I have listed this as a fanfiction. I put links to all of them in the chapters where they are relevant.)
