After quite some time, we saw the women near the shelter, and we descended.
“Hey, check her pulse,” I told Kain. I reverted him to his original body.
Kain looked at me and said, “I don’t know how?”
Oh my god. He’s useless. I smacked my forehead with my palms and said to him, “You’ve superhuman intelligence. You will instantly know how to do it.”
“O-Okay,” He checked her pulse. “Huh? How did I know?”
“It’s the power of superhuman intelligence, you will instantly know everything, plus you’ve my experience,” I explained.
“Huh? Your experience?” Kain asked.
“Yes, but we’ll get to that shortly,” I concluded.
I looked at the boulder and saw a small space under it. If my estimation correct, I figured Kain’s hand could fit under it. I moved Kain’s body towards the boulder and made him kneel.
“Wow? What are you doing?”
“Look at the small space under that boulder,” I ignored him and pointed at the small space.
He looked at it and said, “Yeah?”
“Good, now slip your hand under it and lift the boulder.”
“Huh?” he perplexed.
“You’ve superhuman strength. Which means you can lift the boulder,” I explained.
“O-,” before he continued. I interrupted him.
“Just do it.”
He put his hand under the boulder and began lifting it. Kain pushed the boulder away from the woman. I looked at her feet, and I saw her Tibia and Fibula had been squash.
“Kain, you see her injured leg?”
“Yeah?”
“I need you to place both of your hands on it.”
“O-Okay,”
Kain put both of his hands above her injured legs, and I started to focus the healing ability on Kain's palms. A bright light appeared from his hand and sprinkled over the woman’s injured legs. The woman’s flesh and bones regenerated.
“Wow!” Kain’s eyebrows raised.
“Alright, now let’s get her to safety,” I told Kain. Kain nodded and lifted the woman.
“Wow, she’s so light!”
“Uh-huh, now go along!”
We started running towards the bunker.
Kain asked me a question, “Hey, can you use that skill with the eyes if we can see my dad’s battle?”
“Hmm… After this,” I told him.
“Why not?”
“We need to get her to safety first,” I gave Kain my reason.
“O-okay,” he murmured, “By the way, you were just bluffing to kill my parent, right?”
Ahh…. So, he read my mind. I feel bad, but it was necessary. For me, at least.
“Yeah, I did. For starters, It was never my intention,” I close my eye to reflect on my action before opening them.

“You just want to save people, right?” he looked at me.
“Yup.”
“Great, I-,” he fell to the ground along with the woman.
Crap! What the hell is going on?
I started to feel lightweight and fell to my knees. The pain rushed through the body. Kain was coughing out blood.
“Arghh,” I cried. Kain was coughing more blood. I tried to stand up, “Need… to… mi… ni… mize… the… damage….”
“Kain!” I heard a familiar voice. I looked in the direction, and it was his brother Axel.
He rushes to Kain as his armor disappeared. He looked at Kain before looking at the woman.
What the fuck happen? I read his mind.
He quickly poured a blue liquid from a small potion into Kain’s mouth. Moments later. Kain began to wake up. He looked at Axel with a sigh of relief before facing the woman.
“What’re you doing here?” Axel shouted.
Kain didn't reply. Instead, he said something else, “The woman we need to get her to the shelter.”
“Not until you tell me. What you were doing!” Axel grabbed his hand.
Kain looked at his brother's hand and said, “I’ll tell you after we get her into the bunker.”
His brother didn't seem convinced but conceded at the end. He lifted the woman, and we ran towards the bunker.
I looked at Kain and asked, “Hey, what was that?”
“I’ll tell you after this.”
I didn’t push a question any further because I respected his privacy. Plus, he would tell me after this, I won’t care either way.
-------------------------------------
We enter the bunker, and Axel heads towards the infirmary. He placed the woman on the bed.
“Alicia!!!” A woman's voice shouted.
She was the person who asked the guard a few moments ago. She rushed toward her sister, “Is she okay? Tell me she’s okay?”
The doctor calmed her down and said, “Don’t worry, she’s fine, just unconscious.”
“Oh! thank god,” She glanced at Axel and grabbed his hand. “Thank you for saving my sister.”
“Y-Yeah.. you’re welcome,” he responded.
For your information, miss. Kain was the one that rescued your sister, not him. I wished I could tell her that.
The woman released Axel’s hand and sat on the chair. Axel looked at Kain, and Kain averted his eyes. I felt a bit of fear from Kain. Axel walked towards Kain.
“Now spill it out!” Axel demanded.
“Can you follow me?”
“Where!” Axel raised his voice.
“Over there,” Kain pointed at a door behind the cardboard.
Axel nodded, and both of them walked and entered an empty room. Kain closed the door.

“Alright, we’re here, now tell me. What were you doing out there?”
Kain takes a huge breath before exhaling it, “I received powers that I couldn’t understand, and they said they would tell me everything after dad finish his fight.”
“Whos they?”
“I couldn’t answer that, but I could show you a bit of ‘his’ power,” Kain told him. Kain looked at me and sent me a thought, “Will you help me?”
“Okay,” I nodded.
Axel looks at him, and in his thought, I read, a power, huh? I wonder what kind of power my little brother mentions.
Oh, I'll show you. I used the body modifier and started to transform Kain into a sabretooth tiger.
Kain’s body began to transform, and I could feel the pain rushed through his body. His nail, feet, arms, head, and back slowly turned into a figure of a sabretooth tiger. His brother's expression changed to shock, and he fell behind his back. Kain jumped in front of him and puffed at him.
Oh? He felt the same way as I did. Nice.
“H-How?” Axel shuddered.
I reverted Kain to his original body. He looked at Axel and said, “It’s his power that I receive. I don’t know how and why, but he said he’ll tell me eventually. So can you keep this a secret between us?”
“I don’t know. What do to about this,” Axel said, “I might tell mom, I think she knows what to do.”
Axel walked away and tried to leave the room.
“Wait, d-,” before Kain could finish his word. I took over his body and summoned a short blade. I rushed towards Axel and put the short blade near his neck.
“Huh!?” he gasped.
“I’ll kill you if you reveal this to your mother,” I warned him as Kain’s voice changed.
“Come kill me! I’m not afraid to die,” he said.
“Hey, please don’t fight him,” Kain tried to stop me.
“Oh? Then how about your family?” I ignored Kain and directed a question at his brother.
“You-!” he said with anger in his voice.
“Or your brother, I can just find a replacement for him.” I put away the blade from his neck and place it at Kain’s neck skin.
“Hey… please don’t kill me,” Kain begged.
I sent him my thoughts, “I won’t. This is just my way of persuading him.”
“Wait! Don’t! Okay, I won’t tell anyone until the fighting outside is over,” he conceded. The blade disintegrates, and I let Kain took over his body.
“Hah,” He puffed. It seems like I did go a little overboard. He looked at me and said, “Can’t you just hold back.”
“Sorry, I won’t let anyone know our secrets,” I crossed my arms with satisfaction.
“Err… who are you?” Axel asked me through Kain.
“His name is Alex,” Kain told him.
“O-Okay. So, we just wait for the battle to finish?”
“Yeah…,” Kain told him.
“Oh, okay. I’ll go outside and let you two alone.”
“Okay, thanks.”
Axel opened the door and exited the room leaving the two of us. I looked at Kain and asked him, “So, what happens back there when you collapsed, and what is that blue liquid?”
“I have an illness related to mana. No magic or divine can heal it. That’s why I cough blood. The illness is taking over my body.” He continued, “The blue liquid is a medicine that only slows the process of the illness. It can’t fully heal it.”
Kain looked down and tightened his grip. He felt afraid and sad. I could feel he wanted to live but with this type of illness. It prevented him from doing that.
I focused my healing ability on him. Kain's body began to emit some lights. The illness didn't react to the lights.
It was like Kain said. This illness couldn't be healed. Is there any way to cure this illness?
“Stop. There’s no use. I’m already a dead person.”
Hearing those words struck my heart. I remember when I said those same words to Chloe. So, this might be how she feels when I said it. Karma was indeed an asshole.
“How many years you have left?” I asked.
“I don’t know. Maybe 3 or 4 years, I think.”
3 or 4 years. There was still time for him to live and searched the reincarnatees and the demon lords, but his illness would be a big problem when I faced the demon lords.
I looked at him and said, “How old are you?”
“15.”
15, huh, well it was not a bad number or a good one. At least I have some time to train him before that ever happened. Anyways, I put this on hold until Lily came.
“Hey, you ask you want to watch your father fight, right?”
“Uh-huh,” he nodded.
“Okay, here let’s watch it together,” I told him. I used my all-seeing eye along with Kain, and we watch their fight.

Dungeon Core Chat Room.
This is a slower-paced "experiment and dungeon building" web novel that tries to use the idea of peer-to-peer communication with Dungeon Cores instead of Dungeon to slave monster communication to break up the detailed dungeon building. Rank 1 description: (minimum met for system initialization...detailed description as follows) Each race was given a system by the gods to make up for their shortcomings and balance their place in this world. Humans: Abysmally bad at understanding and using magic unable to use more than the lowest of magic were given the "Skill System" magic in the form of premade skills with use, study, and mastery tied to experience. Elves: Intuitively understand magic and have long lives leading to vast knowledge and skill in their chosen fields. However, as a species, they have nearly zero sex drive and less than low fertility, so they were gifted the "World Tree System" with experience gained through the care of natural areas – gifting the chance of children to increase their numbers without dirty copulation. All “natural” or “wild” monsters are given an "Evolution system" designed around killing and consuming as many creatures as possible, slowly increasing strength and, at thresholds, allowing mutations to alter them multiple times. Dungeon cores are different. Unlike humans, they can see, manipulate and live off mana. Unlike Elves, they naturally crystallize after extended periods of time in high mana level areas. However, they cannot easily move or communicate and typically go insane without companionship. As a species other than the odd eccentric they are unimaginative. Brute forcing solutions without the drive to truly innovate. Thus they have been gifted with the "Dungeon Connection System" a magical version of the internet accessible by their peers that allows them to barter and sell: bait, traps, monsters, and knowledge, as well as entertain each other with “adventure streams” using exciting recorded battles and humorous reels of arrogant chumps biting off more than they can chew to often fatal effects. This is the casual story of a dungeon unluckily spawned far from potential adventurers forced to innovate beyond its peers to find its place in this world. Rank 2 Description: Justification. I've been on a dungeon core kick for months and while I love the genre – it's sparse with entries. Often the forced conflict gets repetitive and frantic solving of threats "power levels" the protagonist to god levels to progress the plot – taking away the nice steady progression fantasy I'm looking for. (Progression in this story is linked to how strong of monsters/traps/whatever he can create not his "level"...this is demonstrated by some of his newer monsters beating his older monsters not with discrete "this monster has 10 attack this one has 40") Additionally, the focus on 3rd parties with their drama takes away from the reason I’m reading dungeon core novels in the first place – I'm looking for magical crafting, experimentation and kingdom building – not defence from higher and higher levelled enemies looking to steal/destroy/control the MC. This novel is kind of just me writing the story I wish I could read. I like thinking about the experimentation that can be done in fantasy settings using 'mana' as an excuse to make up rules and try to keep them internally consistent. IE once I define how a rule works, I'm going to commit to keeping it – no breaking hard truths I've given when it's convenient, even if it backs me into a corner. Hopefully, that should make the story interesting to read even if it's SOL and less action-oriented. There will be problems to solve and a clear progression in strength (of created monsters and knowledge) however due to not wanting to force conflict for the sake of conflict the general theme will be closer to slice of life with few action sequences and no overarching goal so please keep that in mind when picking this up as the genre is not for everyone. Finally, I have a clear goal of what I want from this story (not an endless romp but a series of arcs and then a conclusion that's a couple of dozen medium-sized chapters long) I want to commit to finishing it or at least bringing it to a point of rest. I hate all the engaging stories that stop with a “hiatus” indefinitely so in the event I lose motivation I'll work to end this even if the ending becomes rushed/unsatisfying just to give a sense of closure. I’m planning on including several polls in terms of direction and taking feedback heavily into account if I get enough readers (but may choose to ignore it if it deviates too far from the direction I want to take this as in feedback like: “The MC needs a cartoonishly evil arch-enemy that wants to enslave him and force the mc to pump out magic items” or “the MC needs to make a body and learn teleportation then live with humans” will get shot down without consideration.)
