《The village elder is manipulating our minds!》Bandits?

‘On the shores of a river close to the village, Jonathan swung his spear just like he always had.’
“98… 99… 100… Phew.”
“My arms hurt...”
‘His body wasn't muscular, but he wasn't skinny anymore, you could now see some defined musculature all over his body.’
“Two weeks. It has been two weeks since I came to this world and became a Village Elder...”
A lot has changed…
In the past week, I started to properly set the village.
I divided it into three main areas.
The storage area.
The living area.
And the Work area.
They are pretty self-explanatory. The storage area now has 3 Warehouses for different kinds of materials and items, and I build a few Silos to store the crops.
“I still have to demolish and rebuild some things but I am almost done.”
I also started to build walls so that I could limit a certain area and all of the Guards are now properly geared up.
“They even rose a Tier thanks to all of the supplements.”
I decreased the amount of Rice corn planted and reached a balance between the many plants available.
“Some of the herbs can also be used a seasoning, so the food isn't as bland anymore”
Finally, I handed all of the extra items I had in my inventory to the villagers and also built a new facility.
“The library was a perfect idea.”
It was a pretty simple place, it's a library after all.
[Library
Description: A place to store information and study.
A Unit of any kind needs to be stationed here for it to work properly
]
And that was all.
“But that is an understatement… During their free time, villagers will occasionally visit it and read some of the books I placed there.”
And what did I place there? All of the guide books of course.
“Now, this is how the villagers look after one week:”
[3 Tier-0 Farmers

]
(This won't appear that many times, it's just to show just how much he evolved. I am trying to slowly decrease the number of village interactions and focus more on the Mc’s developments.
Of course, this novel is about this system so we need to keep the mc in the village so bear with me as I will try to make something enjoyable.
Like a Lord in the background? Hidden?)
“We are finally getting somewhere.”
As you saw, there were immense changes, as this was all thanks to the library.
The farmers Tiered up and some of the old villagers Tiered up as well.
Although the System played a part in such fast development, most of the ones that did so were, actually, the old, very experienced, villagers.
“So we could say they are recovering from their rusty state.”
“The village is almost independent at this point. Some days ago I finished the Inn and demolished the food station. Now both the Cook and the Innkeeper work there at the same time. Providing food for the villagers.”
“Soon, we should even have some wine and other drinks available, although I don't like drinking that much.”
Steel tools are becoming more common as the two blacksmiths are working every day non-stop.
This was one of the reasons why one of the Guards is Tier-2 now, you already know who right?
The one who saved me of course, his talent for combat is simply crazy!
I gave him a decent set of gear, and the best weapons and he naturally increased his Tier.
And to cope with the increase in inhabitants, two more villagers were transformed into Guards.
“All of them are fully equipped in Steel armor and tools.”
“I only have one thing I am skeptical about, and that is their strength.”
They have been able to increase their Tier by training, but they are still “Human”.
“I need to find a way to make them superhuman…”
That's where the Alchemist kicks in. Thanks to him we have been getting a constant supply of alchemical supplements.
“Although according to him, he needs other types of herbs that we currently don't have.”
And even if we have them, we are still missing proper training methods…
“But this was all thanks to the herbs, their growth rate is just as insane as the crops.”

Although I noticed some suspicion from the Alchemist part, he worked without asking about that.
“The difference between having an Alchemist and not having one is immense”
There are many pills available now. The alchemist is working almost 24/7 in making them.
“I think he is trying to repay me for accepting him. He told me he would give me that Elixir as soon as I gather the materials but… I have been unlucky in finding them so far.”
“And I need to think about how I am going to deal with those Nobles.“
Initially, I didn't care much because in the first place I was already in a bad situation.
But the village is slowly getting better to the point that I think I may be able to survive…
“No matter what, I still need to get stronger”
And I found some solutions for that.
“I read that new book about the inner pathways and I trained in the wood style fist.”
And both of them gave me big surprises…

The first book, On the intricacies of the Inner pathways, raised my Scholar Tier for some reason., but that didn't bring me any benefit whatsoever. The reason remains a mystery for me.
It was a very interesting book, I never imagined the Human body held such secrets within it.
“Although the book is outdated… Perhaps I can visit Murim in the future?”
That would be perfect considering I have this gift…
/BAM!/
‘Jonathan clenched his hand and punched a nearby tree. The tree’s bark broke apart but his hand was still fine without even a single scratch.’
“I am not that far from mastering this...”
You didn't hear wrong. I am close to mastering this absurdly bad technique.
“It wasn't without any effort. Although my Trait helped me memorize it and the System helped me with the comprehension, I still had to use several Silver coins worth of alchemical products to push it to this extent so quickly.”
“And the end result was just this… After I talked with our new members, this level of strength isn't anything special among true Knights out there.”
“That's why everyone considers this technique trash, if you have a few silvers to spend, why not just buy a better technique instead?”
“Unfortunately the fatty didn't have such Martial arts available”
Nevertheless, it's still something.
“By the end of my first month, I will have fully mastered this and my body will reach its maximum physical potential. I only hope that the next Merchant Caravan brings some extra supplies.“
I need more information fast!
A way to Level up the villagers and myself.
/Fuohmmmmm!/
“What is this sound? It looks like a horn of some kind? Did we have one of those?”
[DING!]
‘Jonathan looked at the System interface and his expression grimaced.’
“This is bad...”
[Enemy attack!]
[Renegades are attacking your Village]
[0/7 Renegades]
“Damn. We were pretty much fine for a week, and now this? Where did those fuckers come from?”
‘Jonathan picked his spear and ran as fast as he could back to the village. He opened the map and searched for the position of the invaders...’
/DIN DIN DIN!/
‘While he ran, he heard a loud bell chime.’
“The emergency bell. Looks like it was useful for something after all”
The bell is a type of building that doesn't do anything on its own, but once an invitation is reported, one of the villagers will use it to alert the others.
“They are… Coming from there huh. Good, it’s right in the place where I built the stone section of the wall”
I don't have enough materials to waste in building a large stone wall, so I just focused on a few sections of it. The rest will be made out of stone.
“Can I see their Tiers?”
‘He opened the map and selected the enemies, and surprisingly, he could!’

Unfettered Spear
[Ratata~] Being showered with bullets from all directions, I certainly don't feel so good. Especially, feeling the bullets passing through my body, which is simply torture. After God knows how long, the gunfire finally stopped. I had my head down, contemplating that this was the end. However, it was at this time that I heard someone jumping off the car in front. I looked up and saw that it was the "Boss." "I should've done this much sooner, you really done a number on my men despite being alone!" "I must admit that you are good, but too good that you're a threat to MY throne!!" "I–" Alas, the Boss' monologue was cut halfway through. When he held his head high, an action to signify his pride, a bullet pierced through his under chin into his brain and out the back of his head. He looked at me in disbelief, like the others around. None of them anticipated that I could still fire my pistol, much less accurately aiming at one's head at the hip level, after being turned into a bloody meat-sieve. "You... Monster!!!" To the Boss' dying words, I only replied with a smile as my strength left my body.
