《The village elder is manipulating our minds!》Iron Tools

[Mc Pov]
(I will be using more pov changes if needed. In case you have better suggestions please tell me)
-... Okay. With this, we should have a smithing house operational soon.
“Jonathan closed the Village tab and stretched his body.”
-Now it's time to wait and to train until those guys finish constructing it.
"He opened the Tab and looked to see how long it would take to build the smithy"
[12 Hours...]
Why does it take so long to build a Smithy?
… I don't really have the right to complain...
-No matter. It's currently 9 Am, which means it will be ready by about 4 pm due to the bonuses.
40% work efficiency is finally showing its value.
This isn't all, once my Units start to increase their Tier and we find better tools, the construction time is bound to get even faster.
(What I want to say here is that the higher the Tier the better the bonuses the person has to pretty much everything related to his/her area.
They can also equip tools to get even faster, like the Normal quality farming tools, if it was of better quality, the farmer would work faster)
-If I am lucky, by the time they finish constructing it, we should have already gathered enough resources to build more things.
I need to build some Water wells around the place.
Having the villagers do a 5-10 minutes walk to fetch water every time is quite sad.
I also need to build a Woodcutter hut and a Hunter’s outpost for the gathering of wood and possibly meat. I am already getting bored of eating soup every fucking time.
To maximize efficiency, I built the smithy on the same road as all of the houses.
-Once I get enough stone, I will circle this road in stone walls, this should be enough for now, right?
The village is way too big and even at its prime, its walls were made of wood because gathering stone to make a wall is very hard.
But since everything is already destroyed, I can focus our resources on this single road.
This is because the layout of this road is very simple, it's just a straight line connecting the Elder’s house with the deeper areas of the village.
The houses where the villagers live are built on the side of the road while the warehouse is a little further away on the road.
Hence, it's pretty simple to build a wall to protect the villagers and important buildings.

-Today is also the third day since I planted the crops… Tomorrow we will harvest them and I will be able to see just how much 20 Crop fields can produce.
I didn't have the Farmer plant more seeds in the other fields since I didn't want them to be too spread out.
I know there are monsters, and leaving one of them alone is a bit of a danger.
“Jonathan threw all of those thoughts to the back of his head and started his training.
He needs to build some muscle as soon as possible...”
…..
/Several hours later/
…..
[Your workers have finished building the Smithy]
-About time!
“Jonathan who was currently sitting on his bed quickly got up and checked the Village tab”
[Smithy Tier-0
Assign a Blacksmith to this building to craft metal objects
The quality and complexity of the items are limited by the Unity and Building Tiers
It's possible to craft…
]
“Without even waiting to read the rest, Jonathan assigned his sole Blacksmith to the Smithy, Ryan.”
-During these few days I managed to get a few pieces of iron, let's see what the Blacksmith can do…
[Items available for craft:
Iron scrap x3 -> Iron bar
Iron bars x1 -> Iron nails x3, Arrowhead x5, Iron dagger
Iron bars x2, Wood x1 -> Iron Sword, Iron ax
Iron bars x1, Wood x1 -> Iron spear
Iron bars x4, Wood x1 -> Iron greatsword
Iron x3, Leather x1, Wood x1 -> Small round shield
Leather x2, Iron x2 -> Reinforced leather Armor, Reinforced leather Helmet
Leather x1, Iron x2 -> Reinforced leather Gloves, Reinforced leather Boots
...
]
“The list continued to other house items such as candle holders and buckets”
-About time! Before anything… Let me order the construction of a Hunter Hut since they gathered enough materials and there is still some time until nightfall.
-... What? I have to place it near the Forest?... It makes sense but... The Hunter will be in danger constantly...
It takes over 10 minutes to reach there, if something occurs, he will have to walk quite the distance to reach the village. I hope nothing bad happens to him...
-... Alright!... These things are pricey! Iron is already a rare resource and now I have to use so much…
If I click one of the options… I see.
[Request the production of one Iron spear?]
Hum… Spears are one of the best weapons for beginners and in general, they are pretty solid.
I do have some pieces of leather… They were rare drops from some of the houses. I think it should be enough to have a single villager fully geared.
But that is a waste. One villager can't do shit.
I will order 4 Spears, 3 for the villagers and one for me.
I will also order the conversion of all of our Iron scraps into Iron ingots.
-What is this?... HA! I can recycle these broken metal objects into resources?! Do it!
They were just gathering dust in the inventory anyway.
With these… I should be able to make some basic equipment for the future soldiers…
I will focus on making armor and shields because of how cost-effective and important they are, the boots, helmets, and gloves are going to have to wait.
But where are the bows?... Could it be that the Blacksmith doesn't make the bows?
If so, who is responsible for doing such a thing? The Leatherworker?... That doesn't make sense… The Hunter himself? Not likely…
I am missing something?...
“Jonathan kept going over the blueprints available for construction until he found it”
[Small Workshop
Assign a Unit with a Workshop related Job such as a Bowyer
Its services will change depending on the Units assigned to it.
The items are available for production depends on the building’s and Unit’s Tier.
The quality and complexity of the items are limited by the Unit's and Building's Tiers
]
Is this it?
A bowyer huh… Someone who makes bows and arrows…
How do I get one? Do I assign one of the villagers to this workshop and have him make bows until he turns into a Tier-0 Bowyer?
-I can think of this later. The book told me that a Unit will seek to work in its ideal place, meaning that as long as I build more Work stations, they will settle everything on their own.
-In any case, how long will it take for the Smith to finish the production of the items?
“Jonathan opened the smithy Tab and noticed several progression bars. There were four Spears in a line with the first one having a ‘1%’ value added to it.”
[Iron Spear
2 hours, 56 minutes, 33 seconds left
]
-This is getting more and more like those boring games that force you to wait for literally everything to force you to spend real-life currency.
-Wait… Can I even spend real-life currency?
“Jonathan looked for any sort of clue, but after a few minutes he was left hanging. It seems he can't spend money to make things faster.”
-Although having things go faster would be incredible, waiting 4 hours for a Spear is also pretty good… No, it should be around 2 and a half hours due to the Bonus.
(4 x 0.6 right? We are removing 40% of the process)
-Soon enough we will have protection and the Hunter will go back to hunting. With leather and other materials, we can make so much more…
If I can keep this rate going I will have this village fixed in no time at all!
I should even be able to go beyond what it used to be!
-And then I should be able to live and go to the Royal Academy.
…
In fact… Why should I go to the Royal Academy in the first place?
What can I get in the Academy that I can't get in here?
I don't have any memories from this character, only a diary book. His dreams and Family don't mean anything to me.
Although… I would like to meet with “my” family someday.
If I leave, I will most likely lose this special power, and with it, all of the advantages it provides me with.
Fast growth, resources gathering… Perhaps one day I can receive a reward that can Level up my Skills!
-I can stay here and develop this place into a powerful town filled with talents. Due to the nature of the system, the people would always work in a very efficient way. Saving a lot of time and greatly improving their potential.
-Just the amount of Gold I am making here is much more than many people have made in decades.
-Although most come from exploring old places and this method is finite, soon I will have many workstations creating products at a massive rate!
-Just look at how fucking fast the Blacksmith is! If he makes a Spear every 2 and a half hours, he can make 5 Spears in half a day!
-It isn't those trashy spears. It's a carefully worked Spear. At least if the System description is telling me the truth.
The System allows me to slowly grow this place with no limits at a very fast rate!
One day, this place may grow to something truly remarkable. And I will be at the top, growing stronger with it.
-I just need to build some muscles first...

The Chronicles of Artharian Dagworth
Back in 2020 there were many theories on how the world would end. From the many religions apocalypses, nuclear wars that would leave the planet inhabitable, global warming doing the same, biological weapons getting out of control, viruses mutating into unstoppable diseases to the dead raising to prey on humanity, either due to a virus or just because hell filled up. Also, aliens, from the war mongering kind to the ones so advanced they didn’t see us as more than worms. And of course there was the fail proof theory that the world would end when the sun died. In a bunch of billion years give or take. Althougth some new scientist were discussing if the end would be on the take side, since when the sun started dying things would go haywire on the entire solar system and we would collide with mercury or maybe mars way before the expanding sun engulfed earth. But I digress… Now, those were the mainstream theories that the everyday Joe, who didn’t know the big secret, worried about. So, if you were to ask me which theory was correct I can tell you that I haven’t seen any little green man, at least not from another planet, and so far the sun is still shining, although it’s been only 9 years since everything went to hell, not the few billions (give or take) the scientist predicted, so that one isn’t ruled out yet. These two aside, I'd say all of them. Hey everyone, this is my first attempt at writing. I have been planning to do it for a really long time, and while this is not the one epic fantasy idea I ever wanted to write, I think it's a good one. The plan is to write an end of the world urban-fantasy series. Think a world like Dresden Files, Alex Verus, Iron druid, where magic is real but exist hidden from society meets the apocalypse. It will be written in first person in the Dresden Files style, no plans for other POV for now. As you probally alredy guessed from my style, english is not my first langague, so while google corrector helps, expect grammar errors, and I'd be gratefull for anyone to point them. I plan to write 2 to 3 chapters a week, 2000-4000 words each. Might change as I get more experience and depends on my free time. Cover image from the colections of getwallpapers.com

Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea by Jules Verne (1870) (Completed)
In 1866, ships of several nations spot a mysterious sea monster, which some suggest is a giant narwhal. The US government assembles an expedition to find and destroy the monster. Professor Pierre Aronnax, a French marine biologist (and narrator within the story) receives a last-minute invitation to join the expedition. As the expedition travels south around Cape Horn into the Pacific Ocean, the crew finds the monster after a long search and then attack it, but the ship is damaged with the three main protagonists thrown into the water. They are quickly captured and then meet the enigmatic Captain Nemo. ~ Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea is a classic science fiction novel by French writer Jules Verne and was originally published in 1870. The novel was originally serialized between March 1869 and June 1870 in Pierre-Jules Hetzel's periodical, the Magasin d'Éducation et de Récréation. An illustrated edition, published by Hetzel in November 1871, included 111 illustrations by Alphonse de Neuville and Édouard Riou. Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea is regarded as one of the premiere adventure novels and one of Verne's greatest works, along with Around the World in Eighty Days and Journey to the Center of the Earth.
