《3 Hearts》Already The First Crisis

It seems, I can level up way faster than normal people, who have to go through painstaking training for months to raise their level even by one.
On the second day of my journey, just when I thought I would really die of thirst, I finally found a cave room with a body of water in one of its corners.
I still did not eat any of the monsters, as quenching my thirst was my top priority so far.
And now, here I am, with 5 XP, which I didn't increase since I am honestly not looking forward to my next fight.
What the other guys in my body are doing? Most of the time they seem to just "sleep" in some way and aren't of any help at all. How can these strong beings be that useless? I asked them exactly that and the only thing they said was, that my body needs to learn magic or be imbued by mana before they can do anything from within there.
And there's one more thing, which I realized. They are getting weirder each hour. Like they lose their vigour and are getting depressed or something like that.
I should probably ask.
"Are you OK? All of you seem to be quite down?"
[Oh, don't mind us. The lack of mana here in your body is a bit annoying. I think we are slowly fading away because we can't sustain ourselves without mana...]
"Why do you sound so calm while you are saying that?"
[...]
"HELLO? Gabriel are you still there?..."
No answer...
I can't believe it, now I really think about saving the monsters that were trying to kill me...
And all that, just because I do not want to be alone, and they are the only ones around here. Argh!
But like this, I could get rid of them! But I still could need their help! And I just couldn't take it... being alone again in the middle of nowhere!

*sigh*
I can't help it. I have to reach the next level as fast as possible.
And I can't keep killing rabbits, as they only give 5 XP and just the act of finding one of them took me almost an hour, because I had to avoid all strong monsters, as these are just everywhere! On top of that my leg injury hasn't fully recovered yet.
I guess it would be easy to find something that would give me thousands of XP, but how the fuck am I supposed to kill something like that?
I have to find the right monster, that is weak enough for me to beat it, but also gives a nice amount of XP.
__________________________________________________________________________________________
Many scary beings roam in these caves, somehow I got lucky so far and could avoid them, but I am slow and like this, it will take forever!
There are huge hell-hounds, Ogres, trolls and even mighty living dead, like liches everywhere!
But among these mighty foes, I found something, I could probably fight.
A group of goblins. 5 normal looking goblins and one that looks more human-like and is probably a Hobgoblin.
They are all quite well equipped in comparison to what I was taught so far. But goblins are still supposed to be one of the weakest monsters out there.
The teacher was an asshole but I still have to rely on the knowledge I got from him, which pisses me off just so slightly.
The group of goblins seems to search for something but they seem quite lost, as they already went in a circle two times, while I trailed them.
I know the time is running out, but I can't fight them head-on. My goal is to ambush one of the goblins, that falls behind sometimes, so I get the advantage of surprise. The two goblins that I decided on as my targets both have about 50HP.
Because I do not know if it is possible to finish one of them off with a single strike, I already made up a plan that works even if I have to hit a few times.

But still, I'll have to rely on these critical hits, the system provides.
Critical hits have a chance to trigger random but are way more likely if you hit certain spots.
And that's the reason, why I made up this plan.
I already tested a few things, like their perception, but all of them seem to have quite dull senses, as they only react to loud noises.

I am already lying in wait in the shadows of a crack in the walls.
If I am correct they should pass this passage any moment.
And right then I am going to jump out of this place to attack the last one which should put his weapon down for a moment, as he leans on it while taking a short break.
Since my "mission" started, around 10 hours passed, of which I spent 8 hours learning every little behaviour they have while walking in these big circles.
I have plans B, S and R. I am covered for each possibility. This just can't go wrong!
I hear them coming!
Now my time has come. And I was right, the last goblin makes a halt right in front of the crack, I currently am hiding in.
So I rush out as fast as I can to execute plan B!
The B stands for "beheading", as that is exactly what I'll try first.
The goblin is leaned forward while resting on his club and just presents its neck to me!
So I rush out and just swing the sword down with all my might!
#Sneak Atack!#
#Critical Strike!#
#Sneak Atack and Critical strike Fuse to a#
#Lethal Strike#
#You killed "Goblin": + 30XP#
#You performed your first lethal strike: + 40XP#
I have no time to read all this, as the most important part of this plan isn't taken care of!
Luckily they are just as dumb as I figured them to be. None of them noticed me killing their mate.
I carefully catch the falling head and body to prevent any sounds, stuff them in the crack I was hiding in before, and start trailing them again, as I am still not finished with them!
I have to strike again before they notice the missing member, so I instantly go over to plan S!
S, like "Slash", because all I will do is run up to one of them from behind and start slashing at him!
Then I will perform R which translates to: "Run as fast as you can!"
#Sneak Atack!#
That dealt a lot of damage, but didn't finish him off!
I have to strike again before the other ones can react!
And I hit him, but it still didn't suffice, I'll have to strike once more!
Clean hit!
#You killed "Goblin": + 30XP#
#Level up!#
Now it's time to run!
And I run for my life, that hobgoblin is god damn fast.
But I manage to trick them at a fork in the road.

Binary Progression: Torrented Edition
This was ment to be the self-published 'real' book of Binary Progression; turns out there isn't much of a market for this kind of story... that and it sucked! As such I am writing another (more successful) series but this was just laying about my book folder so I'm posting it here, please forget the fact I said it sucked, pretty please. JohnWillStab is the poorly-named shut-in on a quest to get into MMOs after a failed online career backfired leaving him uninterested in his speciality, strategy games. He discovers an old, abandoned game with an active, albeit very eccentric, community of no more than five-hundred players on a single server maintained by an unknown individual. Unbeknownst to him, the game he found is more than just an ordinary WoW clone and after many adventures with his group, they make the terrifying discovery that after two full volumes this story becomes a god damn isekai. What’s worse, JohnWillStab, the number-one edgelord on the server is somehow ending up in positions of power despite literally being an undead rogue with evil magic tentacles! Will John’s edginess ruin the isekai? Why does the doctor have the highest kill-count in the game? Is 👑 really a valid character you could use for your username? Can the chef perform an exorcism? Why is God asking John for chicken nuggets? Really, he could just spawn them in - in fact, we saw him spawning food in before!

But with his class and skills, he should have no problems wandering around to his hearts content. This story has a loose plot, mostly focused on exploring novel locations and the simple pleasures of traveling. If your interested in reading about strange locations and meeting even stranger people, Melphis's travels will not disapoint. The first few chapters will be a bit slow as he goes from place to place without going anywhere too extraordinary. This story will be more of a slow burn tale rather than a fast pace power crawl. I hope you enjoy! Schedule will be Monday, Wednsday, and Friday uploads.
