《Domineering Frog King》Chapter 17

Here you go, one ass kicking(X_X) chapter! For those of you shocked…that’s the reason for the Tragedy Tag. Or were you ignorant of that?
======================================
The wind whipped through the air and the water level began to rise. The Sect members looked over at the destructive power being displayed by He Zhi and smiled.
“Hehe, I think I may have found the specimen my Sect needs!”
Even though he was fighting Elder heron, the impatient Twisting Terrors Mage was the first to speak. But the smoky young man was the first to move, rushing right at the little frog man. However, without any warning, a massive twister appeared, picking up the water and looking like a waterspout.
Before he could even react, the smoky Sect member was sucked in, his screams reverberating through the air. When he was flung out, his robes were in shatters and he had many small cuts. His face and clothes were stained with blood.
Seeing this, the others stood shocked, unsure of what to do. They didn’t expect to run into a Level 3 Mage here! Sure, there was four of them, but they wanted to keep this thing, not kill it! And if they helped each other, how would they split the reward?!
“What the fuck are you standing around for? Shitting your pants? Too bad. Go fucking die!”
“Huh?! It can speak?!”
They all immediately began trying to convince He Zhi to calm down, but his eyes were completely gone and the impatient Mage quickly realized what was going on.
“He has entered Berserk mode! He actually won’t be able to hear us! Shit!”
All of a sudden, three more waterspouts appeared, and the air was changing. The clouds began to darken and rain began to fall, drenching them all.
‘If I can’t have that one, let me see if another one will do.’
The brunette was crafty, realizing that this frog may actually be capable of performing Level 4 Magic! She looked around before noticing Hu Lao. She darted forward, snatching the unfortunate bird girl, much to the astonishment of Elder heron. As she was running away, she also managed to sneak behind Love-struck Little Sister and nab her, too!
“NO! LET THEM GO!”
Elder heron tried to fly over, but the impatient Mage punched forward, sending the old bird flying, a trail of blood spouting into the air. When he crashed onto the ground, it was unsure whether he was still alive.
He Zhi sent the waterspouts towards the four members, although the brunette was already making her exit, leaving behind the other members who quickly followed. He Zhi never moved from his spot and the twisters were moving too slow to actually catch up to the Mages. This gave them the time to figure out what to do.

Seeing this, the smoky Mage tried to find a suitable specimen but was still indecisive.
However, now that he wasn’t fighting the old bird, the impatient man looked around before trying to go after the nearest frog person. It was then that He Wu stepped in front of him, flashing a water sword and shield. He had left his Ice Saber at the village, forgetting it in the chaos.
He still knew some of the Sinking Slash, using it as best as he could to fight against the Level 2 Mage at an almost equal level.
The purple haired girl saw a frog with wrappings over its chest, making her think the frog was female. It looked over the old bird with tears in its eyes. Feeling a pang of guilt, she almost rushed over to heal the bird but was astounded when the frog was already doing it.
‘This thing knows how to heal! It would be perfect to see if our spells could be used by it!’
After the bird was beginning to breathe, Little Sister looked up and was surprised to see a purple haired girl standing in front of her.
“Come with me.”
Knowing full well what happened to her siblings before, Little Sister bowed her head, crying more tears as one of the Apprentices picked her up and threw her into a bag.
“AAARGH!”
A battle cry ripped the area, surprising all the onlookers. Most had run away in fear of the powerful waterspouts, but as the targets ran off, the waterspouts had instead combined! There was now two massive twisters, threatening to destroy the last two groups of Mages!
“Dammit! Fine! You are coming with me!”
Reaching out, the impatient man grabbed He Wu and ran off, yearning for his life.
By now, the two large waterspouts had combined, creating one massive twister. Instead of sending it at the smoky man, He Zhi reached into the dangerous cone and the wind seemed to die down…
Before whirling at a speed far faster than before. The shape seemed to change and it began to move, shocking the simple tribe members.
He Zhi had ‘picked’ up the twister! It now looked like a massive lance, ready to use at any moment!
With his eyes opened wide in shock, the smoky man reached for the nearest frog people he could find, reaching towards the groupies. That’s right, instead of taking one, he tried to take all five.
However, just as he was about to leave, he felt a sudden pressure bearing down on his back. He hadn’t even time to turn around when he was pierced through, shocking all the leftover Mages. The groupies were all thrown away into the night, their whereabouts unknown. Unfortunately, the smoky man’s corpse was still being ripped apart by the powerful strike of a Level 4 spell.

The other Mages tried their best to leave, but they soon fell into the water, as if something had grabbed them from behind. They weren’t grabbed, they were sunk!
By using the power of water, He Zhi had unconsciously weighed the weaker people down, sending them into the water. Any who weren’t in the water were dragged in as if they were being pulled by a specter or ghost!
Their screams and splashing only lasted a minute or so before the whole world went quiet.
The battle had ended…and He Zhi collapsed like a puppet with cut strings.
========================================
Several days later, He Zhi awoke to see a thatched roof above his head.
He couldn’t help but cry himself back to sleep, taking another day to get over his exhaustion.
When he awoke again, he looked around the room and saw two of the groupies also lying down, bandaged up.
‘No, I can’t just detach myself from them anymore. That’s not fair to them. It’s not fair to anyone to be without a name.’
He had spent several hours thinking about where he went wrong. He could have blamed it on the Misty Turtle Tribe for having him enter the Tournament, but not only was that the brat’s fault, he even agreed.
Maybe it was someone else’s fault? Someone he didn’t really know? Maybe the brat’s sister?
That may have been true, but he didn’t have to attend. He could have stayed back, watching the lesser frogs become altar food for the five kids. They wouldn’t have won and days would have passed like normal.
It ended up being his fault, in his eyes.
He decided to name them in a similar fashion as he was, but since he didn’t really know Chinese, he asked Mr. Black for help. He walked a ways from the village. It was early in the morning, so no one noticed.
“Sure thing, little one. I know that you are hurt, but sometimes we need to move on. Maybe your siblings aren’t dead!”
“…Most of them did die. Not only that, but even Hu Lao was kidnapped. Wait, what happened to Elder heron?”
“He went back home to grieve. He doesn’t blame you, but he still wishes to speak with you later.”
“Alright. Let’s think of some names.”
“Okay, will we be naming everyone?”
“I want to, but who knows if they will be given other names?”
“That is true, names are powerful. Just giving them away is wrong. We shall start with the two in the building over there. How about He Yi and He Yu?”
“Hah…thank you, Mr. Black. I will tell them. If I come across any of the others, please help me out once again.”
“No problem, little one. By the way, once you finish your journey, by the tradition of the village, you get your specific name.”
“But I already have a first and last name.”
“He, or River, is your family name. The village people have Gui, or Turtle. For example, I am Gui Hei Shui. Black Water Turtle.”
“Oh. Well then. I look forward to finding out my full name, Gui Hei Shui.”
“Just Mr. Black is fine. See you later, He Zhi.”
After waving goodbye, He Zhi returned to the building, looking at the two frog girls. They had made great progress on their training, becoming more feminine in their appearance. Maybe they had an image to go for, with Hu Lao.
One had a couple of blue specks, almost like freckles on her cheeks. From here on, she was to be known as He Yu. She was more proficient in magic.
The other girl was calm and quiet. She followed everything by the book and made sure to do things exactly as she was told. From now on, she is to be called He Yi.
He Zhi didn’t know what the world had in store for him, so he decided to visit Elder Granny.
As he walked over, he noticed several people flee from him, not willing to even be looked at by He Zhi. He didn’t quite remember all of the entire fight, although he did come to when he killed that young man. And then he proceeded to murder the others. It was no surprise that the people here would become afraid of him.
“Granny…”
“Little child, I fear that your future is a dangerous one. We will be willing to help. You helped us, after all.”
“No…I will only bring you trouble. If I don’t involve myself, maybe we can live a peaceful life for now. But I don’t plan to sit by and wait for death. I want vengeance!”
Granny’s face fell, but she made no indication of actually disliking the idea. She seemed rather upset at the whole thing as well. The brat had left for his home to find out who sent those people. He couldn’t have interfered, but he could at least do some investigation.
He Zhi was surprised by the brat’s actions. Especially since he had thought the little kid was not old enough to worry about promises. Of course, it wasn’t the brat’s fault, He Zhi knew that.
After staying vigilant outside of the small building, the two girls awoke. He Zhi found He Wu’s saber and manual, taking them as well. He left for the small pond to begin his preparations for revenge.
And to hopefully bring back his family!

Forced Immortality
Guy dies, transmigrates and then dies some more. Contrary to what you might think, this is actually a story about an OP protagonist. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Things to keep in mind before reading: - I have never written a story before so this will most likely end up being pretty bad. - I have done zero planning for this story. - This is mostly something i wanted to try out in my freetime so updates are going to be sporadic at best. - Chapter length will fluctuate until i figure out this whole writing thing. - I have no idea if there will be romance. Might add it in the future if this story somehow doesn't end up as a failure. - There will be some stuff from the Star Wars Universe but this is NOT a Star Wars fanfiction. - The story will be pretty explicit in the gore department so if your squeamish, beware. - This story will be a slow burn. - If any of the above changes, i'll update the synopsis and i might make a seperate chapter just detailing these points. - Last point, English isn't my native language so have some mercy on my poor soul, ok? If none of the above has scared you away then i invite you to join me on this catastrophic ride. It'll probably be kinda fun.....hopefully... This story is also on Scribblehub and Webnovel.
