The voice repeated again. I looked around the room trying to find the source of the voice. It sounded as if it was coming from everywhere at once, as if the very walls were projecting the sound and focusing it towards the center of the room. Getting up from the floor I asked,

“ Hello? Is anyone here? Please can you let me out of this room?”

Silence greeted me. I looked around and found a screen hovering over the pedestal.

WELCOME TRAINEE!

You have just initiated the experimental accelerated training program built using the combined knowledge of all the sages in the known world. This program will was built by the THE MONARCH UNIVERSITY. The finest university in the LUDWIG EMPIRE.

I stared at the screen for a few minutes, trying to remember if there was an empire by the name of Ludwig near my country or if any of the academies were called the Monarch university. As far as I could recall there were no places with such names around me. I lived in the Kovia Kingdom ruled by King Ligart Kovia, and the most famous academy was named Noxose, Institute Of The Arcane.

The screen even though it was hovering in the air felt sold to the touch. I looked at it from all angles and found nothing that indicated any trap. With nothing to do and after staring at it for an hour I pressed the help option, not knowing what the ‘BEGIN’ option did. The screen winked out and another took its place.

The prompt basically told me that I was trapped in the room until I completed the unknown training program of some Administrator let me out. After considering the matter for some time I decided to see what training I was going to receive, as this situation could be a gold mine for me. I had lacked the opportunity to find trainers for me and now God had thrown this golden goose in my lap, to throw this away would be foolish bordering on insane.

Blacksmith: Able to create household items and weapons using mundane and magical metals. Armorsmith: Able to create any and all armour anyone could need. Arcane Blacksmith: Who needs fire when you can control the very metal itself and bend it to your will.

“ THIS IS INSANE! Who designed this? How can anyone finish all of these tasks in one lifetime? It takes on average 50-100 years to gain all the knowledge and skills to be considered a master in any one profession, and this shit is telling me to master all of them to get out of here. How the fuck am I suppose to do that? Even though I can master them all because of my Blessing I do not think I have the necessary time to complete the training. How long will it take anyway?”

I looked at the screen and screamed at it for sometime. I was angry at it, at the information that it was showing me. It was for lack of better words telling I would die in this place trapped, in a cage with no way out.
