《The Blood-Soaked Circus》The Biggest Arms Dealer

Walking through the veritable maze of aisles, I squint my eyes and try to avoid the brighter lit areas of the shop. The multitude of vibrant hues is just as annoying and flamboyant as ever. I understand that it's supposed to be a 'Coinpurse' but seriously, my retinas ache already.

Moving past the metallic light armors, ducking under the striker-boards, and nearly bumping into several gobish employees as they took inventory, I soon arrived at the back counter. The receptionist was a slim human/elf hybrid, though she seemed to favor her elvish lineage. As soon as she noticed me, her demeanor went from professional to...ahem, intimate.

"Ah, Persi!" she calls out once it's apparent I won't ignore her. "Here to see the boss? Or perhaps...you'll take me up o-" I decide to cut her off with a wave of my hand. It would be troublesome if 270 heard her. Again.

"No, I have a meeting with Yis. She's supposed to be expecting me," I bluntly say. This little harlot has been trying to bed me for the better part of two years. Honestly, I'd give in if I didn't think her employer would torture and kill her for it. Then again, it might be worth it to end her pitifully blatant advances...

"Yo! Peeerrryyyy!" shreeks a high, melodic voice that seems to be rapidly approaching from behind me. The accompanying footfalls strengthen that mental image, and I brace my legs just in time for a crushing weight to slam into my back. Slim, seemingly fragile arms wrap aroumd my neck. However, and unfortunately, the vice that soon results from them is anything but frail.

The tips of a dull orange pair of twin-tails flash into my vison, and the weight swings around towards the front of my body. Should I stab her? I don't have my knife...huh... I didn't know a mental sigh was possible. The things you learn...

"Can you not call me that?" I ask to the physics defying female currently latched to my torso. As expected, her answer is an infuriating giggle and a shake of the head. "You know how to make me quit, Peeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrryyyyyyy. Now that you're here, we can take this to my office. You know where to go~"

Outwardly sighing this time, I jerk up my arms to avoid the death-grip of her legs intertwining around my waist and begin the humiliating (as well as unfortunately frequent) trek across the store to her private room. Before we get out of earshot of the young looking receptionist, I have to listen to her sending threats to the abefore mentioned individual over my shoulder. I guess she did hear that invitation...

Taking care not to knock over any of the highly overpriced items as I shuffle through the store, Yis begins slowly sniffing and rubbing various parts of my neck. "You took a shower before you came?" She asks, then continues without waiting for a reply, "You must really have wanted something from me, huuuuh?" She giggles again, at an even higher pitch this time.

Don't break her spine...wait, her bones are to dense for that anyway, fucking freak of na-"Fuck, ow!" I gasp as she bites the curve of my shoulder. After removing her teeth from the top two layers of my skin, she whispers "I heard that Perry~" Fucking telepaths...

Finally reaching the door after half a minute more of extreme mental restraint, the walking box of annoyance hops down from me as she turns and placed her hand on the door. Several complicated ley-lines form a sort of puzzle across the metallic frame before shifting from a light yellow to a nearly orange, then the door slowly swings open. She upgraded security? Last month there was only a genetic sequencer, now theres a mana map added as well? Interesting...

As 270, or rather, Yis steps through the door I follow and then swiftly shut it behind me. Finally, safety. Yis quietly makes her way to the desk on the far side of the room, and I take a moment to silently admire the total change in her demeanor.

What was an energetic, slightly clumsy young teen seems to morph into a sophisticated and cool-headed woman of her late twenties in a matter of seconds. Her rather bland orange hair is still styled in the currently popular 'twin ponytail' style, and the off-maroon suit she wore was still slightly disheveled, but the very air around her whispered that she could rip anyone apart in a verbal, or even physical debate. She was still short though. No matter how mature she acted, she would never grow taller than my waist.

Leaning my head to the side, a pair of crystal scissors launches past where my cheek was mere seconds before. "I. Heard. That." she says. Of course she did, I meant for her to. She sighs this time, and situates herself in a rather plush chair behind a desk littered with neatly organized files. "So, Perriot, why are you here?" She asks while leaning her elbow on the edge of the desk and supporting her chin with a palm.

Taking the smaller, though no less comfortable chair across from her, I smile and begin to twist a stray bang while answering. "I've had a...operation, in mind for quite some time. Something big, even for your standards. In all honesty I even considered contacting Gru'sal for it, but unfortunately he isn't nearly as trustworthy as you." During my little speech, her eyes switch from businesslike, to interested, to agitated, and then to suspicious. As expected, though I keep that thought to myself.

"Per, anytime you mention the word trust, someone dies. Anytime you compare the trust you have for two people, a lot of people die. Plus, I'm damned sure I just felt your mind pull back a thought, which means you've planned this out for a long time, and there's no way I'm gonna refuse." Oh? She's getting better at this.

My smile widens, and I half close my eyes for dramatic effect as I look to the side. "Seventy deca-units minumum, per cut, four way split, not including expenses. Oh, and access to the S-" another pair of scissors soars past me. How many does she have?

"That's a dangerous sentence you're about to finish old man. Before you do, you'd better make damn sure to double check you can follow through with it." Oh? Look at those eyes...she's even trying to probe my memories without my consent...alright, I'll indulge her.

Within seconds, several dozen hours of planning and preperation slam into her psyche all at once. Not all of it, of course, just the phases that include her and her organization. Awww, she's drooling from the influx of information. How cuuuuute.

After several moments, and a few quick chin wipes, she returns my smile with a manic edge, then shudders at the thought of the expected profit. Slowly standing in her chair, she supports herself with both hands as she leans over the desk to put her face inches from mine. "So...who else is involved?"

"Thats classified," I answer, then smile until the edges of my mouth split apart ever so slightly. "for now, I'm still just beginning my actual preperations. I did contact you first, aside from my supplier." Her face cramps up at that last part, but I wave my hand to dismiss that thought from her. "Not for dawnweed, ffor resources...though I wi-" she...slapped me? That's new.

Yis has scrunched up her eyebrows and is glaring photon-daggers at me, which are far worse than regular daggers mind you. Slowly, she reaches up a hand and places it on the side of my head. "Persi, you know that I love you, right?" I make a slightly dismissive gesture as her face slowly closes in on mine. "I'm fully aware you won't return those feelings, but if you show up to ANY. OF. THIS. high....I'll suck your soul from your body and put it into my pet fish."

Sighing, I nod as her nose brushes against mine. "Does right now count?" Chuckling, she pushes off of her desk and we land with a muffled thump to the floor. Now, while the image of a well developed leprechaun straddling my chest is certainly alluring, the weight of her giant's heritage caused my ribs quite a bit of discomfort.

What came after...well, I'm an open-minded individual, so bodily proportions has never quite influenced my decisions in relationships...but damn, for a small girl she leaves a lot of bruises.
