《Woodland》Woodland chapter 6 - orc part 6

Elis followed Regnica through the wreckage of his village. He stopped and looked at the school he used to attend; he had only finished his last year there a few days ago. And now the school was a smouldering wreck. Regnica noticed he stopped and turned around to look at him. She looked a little confused, she wasn’t sure why he had stopped. She walked over to him and leaned down so her eyes were level with his, she then turned her head to see where he was looking. Elis noticed her next to him and smiled dismally.
“Sorry, let’s go,” Elis said, walking past Regnica. Regnica put her hand out and gripped him by the arm.
“No, tell me what is wrong?” She asked pulling him back.
“It’s nothing really” Elis lied, not wanting to linger on this for much longer, let alone let this savage beast see him cry. Regnica could sense something was wrong and instinctively wrapped him in her arms. She didn’t even realise what she was doing as she held him tightly in her arms.
“Tell me what is wrong my human,” She said, gently kissing him on the neck. Elis blushed and looked away angrily.
“It’s really nothing,” He said, a hostile tone in her voice. Regnica blushed heavily and let him go as she finally realised what she was doing.
“oh… sorry” She muttered as she let him go and put her hands behind her back. They carried on walking to the large feasting hut.
Elis stared at the large red-painted hut. He followed Regnica into the hut, staying close behind Regnica as he didn’t want to be the centre of attention for these savage monsters. They entered the brightly lit hut. There were about 11 Orcs in the hut, 6 male 5 female. The orcs noticed Regnica entering, and all stood up and bowed their heads to her out of respect. Except two. A singular large Orc female and male dressed in large feather headdresses and leopard skin clothes sat crossed legged Infront of them. The man looked to be older, and the girl looked to be around the same age as Regnica, she even looked slightly similar.

The sitting girl noticed Elis peaking out from behind Regnica. She smiled cheekily at him and gave him a little wave. The other orcs carried on their feats of animal meats but kept their eyes on Elis as he and Regnica walked around the circle of orcs and over to the sitting man and woman. Regnica sat down next to the woman and sat Elis by her side.
“Is that a human? I have never seen one so close before…Well not a live one anyway” the girl said to Regnica.
“Do not get any ideas sister, this one belongs to me, get your own” Regnica said, sound a mix of angry and annoyed. Regnica wrapped one of her arms around Elis’s head and pulled him into her side. Elis looked up at her, an annoyed look on his face.
“Look at him! He loves me!” Regnica said, happily grinning down at the choking Elis.
“Sister, I know as much as you about humans, but I don’t think they are meant to be that pale?” the girl said pointing to Elis, a concerned look on her face. Regnica quickly gasped as she realised that Elis was starting to go a deathly white.
“Sorry, are you alright?” She quickly asked as she let him go and put her hands onto his arms, shaking him to see if he was still alive.
“Fucking idiot…” he muttered through gasps of breath. The other orc girl put her hand out and gently rubbed his head.
“You okay little guy?” She asked smiling at him, much to Elis’s surprise she was much gentler than the other orcs. He wondered how she was related to Regnica.
“Don’t touch him Bral” Regnica said, slapping the girls arm down. Bral growled at Regnica, baring her teeth. Regnica returned the gesture and growled at her sister.

“Share your plaything Regnica,” The man said, not looking at them as he carried on eating.
“But DAD!” She said loudly.
“Regnica,” the dad said in a stern voice. Regnica sighed and picked up Elis and placed him in-between herself and her sister. Bral looked at Elis with awe. Elis smiled; Bral was like a child.
“Tell me, human, what is your name? Is it true humans can predict the future? Is it true you only have one heart and one stomach?” Bral started to bombard him with questions, Elis could now see how she really was related to Regnica.
The two orc girls stared daggers at each other as Elis sat awkwardly between them. He kept glancing up to either side of him to see the terrifying expressions of the orc girls. Despite, from what he could gather them being sisters, they most certainly have a deep-rooted hatred for one another as they every now and then bear their teeth at one another. Elis felt lucky that the father was there, and he seemed like he was the kind of person to stop a fight as soon as it would break out. Or at least this is what he hoped.
“Don’t touch him,” Regnica whispered angrily to her sister. Bral bearded her teeth at her sister, giving a quiet but intimidating growl as she put an arm around his waist. She pulled him to her side and pressed the side of his face against her chest and her hand that wasn't wrapped around in onto his head. Elis blushed but didn’t dare move. This orc seemed much more aggressive than Regnica, thus he didn’t want to start a fight with her by resisting. Bral stared down at Elis and gave him a gentle smile.
“Could you tell me your name now little one?” She said moving down to look him in the eyes. Her eyes were kind and gentle. But despite this, he couldn’t help but feel a little scared at how quickly she could change her mood. This new threat was much more dangerous.
