Chapter 29
**Grrrrooowl**
A silent yet intense growl shot from the jaguar. The echo of the bloodthirsty sound barely made it to Lwanda before dying down, the gentle growl almost like the soft purr of a cat sent chills down his spine. He could feel it all, the bloodlust, the loathing, the violent ...savage...ruthless longing for his miserable life. He had no idea why, maybe it was because of his new transformation but now he could actually feel not just the crystal's aura better but also the aura coming from the beast.
If this was the Lwanda from before, such bloodlust, such savagery would have made him cower in fear, look for an opportunity to escape dreading his own demise, but not now. Times had changed, he had changed. As the beast shot daggers at him, he shot some right back at it.
Lwanda was pissed, a single thought kept replaying in his mind over and over again clouding his rational, leaving him void of any emotion but the cold bitter revenge he hoped to get. Everything else was obsolete. From every fiber of his being, his mind, soul, flesh, every nuke and cranny of him shouted the same thing;
“Damn, this time I really almost died”
Lwanda replayed the thought in his mind in a loop, it was like centuries of hatred and loathing had been built up in just those short minutes. He felt it as bright as day, he felt that if he didn’t kill the smug son of a bitch before him, his heart would never know peace ever again.
“Die...die... IT HAS TO DIE !!!!!”
Lwanda yelled as he lifted his stuff, no thought required he knew exactly what move he wanted to make, the most savage, brutal, narcissistic of them all and then some. Like a thunderclap Lwanda’s hand moved incredibly fast, it was so fast a faint afterimage showed. The decisiveness, the focus in his move could almost take your breath away. No extra moves, no unnecessary, flashy move sets, he was as raw as they come, one move to enact one will. So simple yet so effective.
A massive lightning ray quickly consolidated at the tip of the staff then just as fast, left shooting straight for the hateful jaguar. The speed of the attack left him startled, from the conjuring of his will to enacting it, it was all super quick, just a fraction of his former self. It was like the crystal was his lifelong friend, one he’d been through countless millennia of battle with, risking their lives, experiencing life and death battles with countless of times, it was like he didn’t have to think hard, nor explain his desires to the crystal, it almost seemed to read his mind, releasing an effect just as quick as it was sent through.

Lwanda was taken aback by this, but he quickly regained his composure and refocused on the mission at hand. The enemy this time demanded just as much, this wasn’t a battle he could half ass. He knew it as plain as day this was a fight to the death, only one of them was leaving here alive and he damn sure was going to make that him.
“Absolute lull !!!!”
Numerous lightning bolts surged through the air like a lively swordfish, every turn, ever maneuver was as beautiful as a choreographed performance. The lightning bolts quickly stopped mind air, almost like frozen in time, they just as fast began merging with those beside them before finally forming a massive lightning bolt, several times bigger and fiercer than the last absolute lull attack he used.
The large menacing bolt charged towards the beast, forming a combo attack with the former beam of lightning attack. The two moves were incredibly fast, it was almost like they were shot out simultaneously. The efficiency of the combo shocked even Lwanda himself, deep down he still didn’t believe this was his doing.
**GROWWWWL**
An earth shuttering roar rang, it was like a void had been created in the little paradise piece, drowning out every other sound but the majestic growl of the top tear predator before Lwanda. Like a streak of light, the jaguar leaped to the side dodging the first lighting beam attack before raising it massive super quick paw to block the next attack.
**Boooom**
Like a lively exhilarated fish, the absolute lull surged through the air before colliding with the jaguar's paw. A massive shockwave and electric surge burst out from the impact of the two supreme moves.
The ground; a good 5 meters around the clash was totally charred almost like an inferno straight from the deepest parts of hell had set ablaze at that exact spot.
**Whoosh**
The jaguar flew back a meter, a look of shock was plastered on his face, it was completely taken aback by that last move. How? Just how did this insignificant pray of his get this powerful? It was obviously not expecting this at all. A sudden frown formed on the jaguar's face, it was like it had finally realized that this was a fight it had to take seriously, else it would suffer grave consequences.

The jaguar took one leap and disappeared from where it once stood, the move was so fast Lwanda completely lost track of it, all he could see was a gust of wind blowing. At almost the same time a massive shadow formed before him. Lwanda dodged to the side before digging even deeper into the maze.
**Booooooooom**
Countless vines meters tall were instantly slashed apart by the raging jaguar, its efficiency and lethality had risen way off the charts. Everywhere its claws passed vines were diced apart. It was like it had become a shredder ripping apart the vines giving them no chance at all.
One meter, I.5 meters... the jaguar was quickly making its way into the labyrinth of vines, quickly narrowing the distance between it and Lwanda. Every swing, every move seemed to usher it closer to the pray it so deeply desired to kill.
**Buzzzzt**
Countless beams of lightning volts surged from the crystal rushing towards the jaguar. The beams seemed to bend at will in the air, rushing to the jaguar from every angle. Caught in the pincer attack and having no way to dodge, the jaguar flexed its muscles, bracing itself for the impact to follow.
**Booooom**
Wave after wave of beams landed mercilessly on the fiend. **Grooowwwl**. A devastating roar left the jaguar’s mouth before it shot out lightning fast leaving the vine’s labyrinth.
**Bzzt**
**Bzzzt**
**Bzzzt**
Lwanda didn't let up on his attack while seeing the jaguar shot back, he doubled down. Wave after wave of attacks flew towards the beast. **Boom*boom*booom**, it was like a massive thunder cloud was raging in the vicinity as Lwanda attacked and the jaguar countered.
Dodges, parries, blocks, paws, claws, tail swipe the jaguar used them all to either block or parry his attacks, occasionally letting out a faint moan in pain. In that brief moment they had exchanged attacks countless times. Well, it was mostly an exchange between the beast and Lwanda’s attacks. The latter was deep in the labyrinth doing its best to keep the beast at bay, not letting it get close.
Lwanda knew his limits, he knew facing the jaguar head on was sure death. It didn’t matter how many power ups he got from the transformation. He was not ready to face an enemy of this caliber head on, not just yet.
**Bzzzt**
Another attack flew towards the jaguar, occupied by the last attack, the jaguar let an opening and the lightning bolt surged right through, striking it straight on the face.
**ROOOOOOAAAAAAR**
A booming burst of rage and pain echoed throughout the battle ground. The jaguar turned to look at Lwanda. If looks could kill then he could have died twenty times over. The blood red eyes shot straight at him, it was clear that last move angered it.
**Pshhh*pshhh**
“Fuuuuck!!”
Lwanda shouted in frustration. How could he not? the one thing he dreaded the most was happening right before his eyes. How could he not be pissed?
**Psssh*pssssh**
Faint sounds could be heard as the air around the jaguar warped, from its tail to its head large chunks of its body seemed to be vanishing in thin air, this continued until the whole beast was gone. Gone like the wind, gone like it had never been there before, like it had been an illusion all along.
Gentle growls sounded from all over the place, coming from one and every place all at the same time.
Lwanda looked around in distress.
“Damn I hate that cloaking technique”

Of Righteous Evil
To wield the magical Arts. The power to manipulate nature itself. Follow Silas on his journey as he learns what it means to be a Mage. With war brewing on the horizon, Silas' plan to become a hero clashes with the harsh reality of conflict. Torn between contradicting emotions, he will have to reconsider his perceptions of both good and evil. Does the end truly never justify the means? Note from author (13.09.20): Sentences have been shortened, less commata used. Paragraphs have been split up. Meant to be "realistic" fantasy, with no overpowered protagonist or evil sorcerer trying to destroy the world. The focus lies on the characters, their progressions and their inner conflicts, coupled with an intricate magic system. Constructive criticism is highly appreciated!
