He felt the need to replenish the energy through meditation but he decided to do that during night time , right now he wanted to check out the lake .

Jamie didn’t know what the lake was called but he knew of it’s importance , it was basically the only water source in the island ( of course if you dont count the sea ) . Since animals weren’t going to travel across the jungle and leave their territories just so they could drink water, it was highly possible that they all depended on the lake .

He walked for about 5 minutes before he came across it, the lake was pretty big and he could spot all sort of fish type creatures without even using his earth sense skill.

“ no wonder the bears liked living near this, you could basically catch fish with bare hands “

And especially these fish who didn’t know what bait and fishing was, they would fall prey to any novice fishermen.

He wanted to try and get close to the water, maybe even try to catch something by coating his hands with aura however, his Earth Sense skill made him halt .

A weird conversation that sounded like “ Kyah koo kyha hiki kaka “ was heard and 2 lizard like species holding iron tridents walked closer to the lake .

They thrusted the trident in the water quick, when their tridents came out they were holding several fish .

At first Jamie wanted to kill them since they really lacked weapons at his village, these tridents were better than bare hands after all , but !

After further consideration he decided to follow them and find out where their village is located .

The lizardmen only had the tail of a lizard, their faces and body was almost human but green in colour, some of them even had beards !

Of course Jamie had heard of the huge tribes of demihumans located on the continent of Amalina , at some point they even waged war on the 3 Empires .

But it didn’t mean they only lived there, every jungle like environment had outlanders ( demi human species ) .

“ So this is why I didn’t stumble across any wild beasts after the bears , these guys did the clean up for me “

The lizardmen village was twice the size of Kraken village , their infrastructure was a lot weirder though.

It only had a bunch of wheat houses and 2 stone entry gates where lizardmen guards stood there holding their tridents.

Also , a stone fountain filled with water stood in the village centre, what surprised Jamie was that the water fountain was connected to the lake .

“ These guys have intelligence , beating them wont be as easy as killing wild beasts”

He decided to not go closer and take anymore risks since he didn’t even have an escape skill . He just observed them as much as he needed to and went back to his village, he had to act before these lizardmen knew of his location .

“ We need weapons fast, I can’t beat 40 lizardmen with 3 men , I need weapons and soldiers “

Eveline and Pompei panicked while Ralph looked excited.

“ Did you go exploring the lake after you told us to leave lord, was this the reason ?”

“ I just found it weird how there were no other animals except from bears, and to be honest I expected goblins but things turned out to be much worse . These guys have iron weapons “

If their numbers had not already scared them, the mention of the weapons did .

Jamie and Ralph started laughing and doing saw eased up the tension a bit .

“ Not Fighting, I need you to research poisoned herbs or plants in this forest “

Jamie went on to tell them of the fountain built in the tribe’s centre, if they could poison the lake water before it even arrived there they could take out most of them without even fighting.
