《Im a Kobold, So what》Chapter 27 The Tournament Begins

We head to where the tournament is being held on the way I buy a light snack. {Did you really need to eat eight kabobs}? [Hey don't blame me I'm just hungry]. We arrive at our destination it's bustling with activity and excited looks. People gather to chat and place bets as drinking stands are set up with several people passed out on the stools. It was very lively just wished I fit in. {You ready}? [Yeah let's go]. We head inside to the waiting room where there are tons of people sitting and chatting. their were even a few lycanthropes, Orcs, and even a Satyr are participating. [Hey its the hobo that lives in the alleyway of our inn]. {Never thought I would see him here}. A voice booms through the room.
-Remember the rules of this tournament, no beating up opponents before the match and no rigging fights. Anything else is legal though if a fighter gets knocked off the stage their out. the rewards for winning are a free guild rank up one hundred gold coins and the option to participate in the intermediate tournament, Now good luck out there." A feeling of excitement rushes through me. *Finally I'll be able to prove my worth to the world*. The voice comes on again. "First up Rodger and Conan". Two people who were sitting nearby get up from their seats and walk to the stadium.
Sitting alone with nothing better to do I decide to watch on the magic screen. On the magic screen, the two people fighting were big burly. One wielded a Sword and shield he was a Lycanthrope, the other wielded a great ax. Their fighting, however, was sloppy at best. Normally adventurers are self-taught so I guess it made sense. I had Max to teach me but I'd probably be worse if it wasn't for him. Eventually, the man with the sword deflected the ax and using the handle on his sword knocks the guy with the axe on the head rendering him unconscious.

Cheers erupted from inside the waiting room. -Wow, their both amazing". "I know I can't wait to test myself against people like that. The announcer's voice sounded through the room again. "Next up Alexander and Crimson". *Looks like it's my turn now*.
I walk towards the stage as the announcer speaks with a magically enhanced voice. "ON THE RIGHT WE HAVE THE WARRIOR FROM ALCANATH ALEXANDER" Cheers erupted from the crowd as he walks up to the stage unsheathing the Greatsword from his back. "AND ON THE RIGHT WE HAVE SOME KOBOLD NAMED CRIMSON" -BOO- The crowed started booing me as I walk up to the stage. It hurt it always does it's something I'll never get used to.
Alexander spoke up. "What my opponent is a Kobold couldn't you give me a real challenge"? These words it's always these words pissed me off. If I could trade any powers I had just to be accepted by people I'd take it in a heartbeat but no I'm stuck here with people who don't want to see me. To them, I'm more useful dead and that stress has built up.
[Fine then hot stuff let's see if you can stand up from your baby days and beat me unless you're going to chicken out of the fight now I'll even fight unarmed]. I put my staff and lean it on the side of the arena. "My taunting didn't go over well with him he began charging even before the match began. "SCREW YOU, NOW DIE"!
He opened with an obvious swing downwards which was easily sidestepped. Even if I'm not as powerful as Max speed and agility were my strongpoints. His slow powerful movements were wasted as I dodged any blow he threw at me. His breathing got heavy as I continued making him waste movements.

The words linger in my mind. Because I was a Kobold this world hates me. The major races all hate me just from my race. They can all burn. Even though I'm an intelligent monster capable of speech my class was still a monster. There have been voices in my mind telling me to kill all humans constantly. Ever since I met Max it seemed like those voices faded but now their back. Piercing my mind with their ungodly voice. All I ever wanted was to be accepted but that will never happen. I'm a Kobold. I'm just another monster nothing more nothing less.
"STAY STILL DAMN YOU"! I saw a big opening. -SHWING- I bring my claws down as blood flies splattering on my face. A pair of hands hit the ground as the crowd goes silent. "Ah-AAAAHHHHH"! He falls on the ground trying to hold both his arms in agony as tears stream down his face. The smell of blood fills the air which only makes my lust for blood grow. I pick him up by the collar as he cries in pain.
"N-No stop I give up". I raise my claw aiming right for his neck. "I GIVE UP"! Snot runs down his nose as he stares death in the face. [And if I was the one in your position what would you do]? Right before I can do anything a familiar voice shouts in my head. {CRIMSON STOP YOU HAVE ALREADY WON}! [Max]? {Crimson calm down this isn't you}. The voice in my head quiets as only Max remains. [Yo-Your right I don't know what got into me]. I throw the crying guy to the ground as the healers rush on the stage.
The crowd is motionless as the announcer's voice comes again. "Th-The winner is Crimson". Picking up my staff I walk to the waiting room the only thing that was heard was the birds. It wasn't surprising that their was nothing in the air but disgust and bloodlust from the humans. *Why couldn't I just be a human*? I sit down in the corner alone waiting for my next match.
{What was that Crimson}? [I-I only wanted a place where I feel I belong. in the caves I never felt that so I decided I wanted to leave but all I have found was a disgusting world with only those born into status get to love life while the rest grovel in search of hope]. {That was pretty deep for you}. [Not in the mood for joking right now].
I sat in silence only watching the next match. A couple of matches went by. However this time another lycanthrope was fighting. He lost getting his arm and leg chopped off. *At least they have good healers here so he will be fine*. I thought that until he was carried in by another Lycanthrope bleeding violently. I rush over with a purpose. [WHY DIDN'T HE GET HEALING]? The Lycanthrope carrying him speaks up. "They don't give medical care to monsters I told him not to enter but he wanted to anyways". I was absolutely disgusted they don't even give medical care to monsters because it's a waste. *This world deserves to burn*.

Braindead - A Zombie LitRPG
In a world where zombies are trash mobs that children kill for easy exp, what hope does one little zed have? Zed was minding his own business when his master's domain was invaded by a plucky young heroine looking to make a name for herself. An unlikely turn of events allowed Zed to come out on top, and gave him enough experience to rise above the life of a mindless minion. Unfortunately, it also left him with no body to share it with... literally, not figuratively! This story contains: Some 'jokes' containing questionable humour. An inhuman MC who has no interest in pesky things like romance or growing a conscience. Blue boxes, and a DnD style system messily mashed together with several other systems. Gore, but nothing too gratuitous. The main character is a severed head so what do you expect? Kingdom/base building, because what good is a zombie without a good horde behind them. Releases planned for each Sunday until I build up a decent backlog.

Beautiful and luminescent weather phenomena covered the planet, for ten short minutes every corner of the Earth was underneath a cascade of lights in the sky. It was days later before reports began to filter in, more than could be suppressed by Governments and Nations. The Alphas had arrived. A small percent of the global population began to exhibit otherworldly and super natural abilities, changing the course of humanity. The Vietnam Occupation ended over night, as each ruling nation took action to respond. In the coming years Alphas would begin to change the globe. Russia eventually became an Alpha nation ruled by a mysterious figure only known as Father Winter. America, Europe, and Australia become even larger superpowers as their Alpha populations exploded, in time a United Nations force known as The Guardians was established to police and document the Alpha emergence. The worlds foremost expert in Alpha studies, Dr. Pavel Laghari invented a system known as the Laghari Scale, that scored Alphas on a scale of 1 to 10 across a wide array of parameters ranging from relative physical abilities to other parameters. Now, in most civilized countries Alphas are required to be assessed the moment their powers manifest, or be in strict violation of local and international laws. In this Age of Heroes , The Guardians have designed a new Initiative to recruit younger Alphas and set them on a path to greatness. Every year teenage Alpha’s from all over the globe flock to secure locations to take part in the Guardians crucible. Many will enter, but few will earn the right to call themselves a Guardian.

Twoen
The struggle for an interesting game has been the story of my life for quite some time. Every game I find is either too easy, not interesting or too short. Luckily, my two brothers who match my level of skill, albeit in different areas, tend to spice things up. When I look at my older brother I have no idea how he gets anything done when he's such an idiot. Still it doesn't detract from my respect for him as a gamer, though maybe a little. When I look at my younger brother I marvel at the monster that my older brother and I created. Deadliness, craftiness and quiet, both in what he does and how he is. When it's just us three we tend to destory everything in our path. So normally we tend to compete rather than team. Although that isn't to say we're just good as individuals. When we work together our effectiveness multiplies rather than lowering. Well enough about us dorks. Anyway a new VR game came out, apparently in development for quite some time. Of course my older brother decided to drive out and buy three copies. What would this one be missing? Difficulty? Depth? Length? In any case I plan to reach the top before my brothers do. It was a competition after all. Twoen had all three things I normally yearn for in spades. Something I did not foresee. A keeper
