《The Pokémon Entity Force》Shadow Fighting

Oww…What the hell happened? Oh…

I got kidnapped again. This must be a popular past time. I can’t wait to tell all 3 of my friends about it! Wait, who are my friends? Uh…Darryl, Esther, and Sylva? Hm…I think I need more friends.

“Oi, get the fuck up.”

I can’t count Nat, Fennis, and Clyde because they are my subordinates, and there aren’t any people I really talk to from the radio station.

“I know you’re awake.”

“…five more…hours…”

“Fuck this shit! At least let go off my leg!”

“No wonder my pillow felt bony. But you smell good, if that counts.”

Yep, a cell. It doesn’t even look as comfortable as a normal jail cell. And I should know.

I get up off the poor soul. The unfortunate person is sickly in their appearance, as if they haven’t been outside for a while. That might actually be the case. They’re wearing what looks like pajamas, but thin. The person’s body is extremely weak and undernourished, but the hair is long and obscuring their face. I say this because I can’t tell if the person is male or female. But because they threw me in here, it must be a guy.

I notice he is wearing a strange bracelet around his right hand. I lift up my own to discover that I, too, have it. I am also wearing the pajama like outfit, but it feels like paper. The guy is looking my way with fear, as I can tell from the shaking. I take a good look at the bracelet and realize it can’t be handcuffs since I have my hands free. Must be a tracker or something. So what if I break it?

Who is this guy? As soon as the guards threw him in here, much to my despair, he grabbed onto my leg and slobbered all over it! Instead of freaking out, like I expected a new guy to do, he just stared at everything. He stared at me, too, but moved on. I guess I don’t look interesting enough. Thankfully, as a test subject, I won’t get touched by the guards.

But that doesn’t mean anything to other subjects. If he wanted to, he could easily over power me. Why would the guards place a guy in my cell?! Is this because of the fact I didn’t consent to the Warden? He wants me to be raped?! This is insane! I want to go back home! I miss my friends!

“Great, now my cellmate is crying. Fine, fine, I’ll leave.”

“Huh?”

The slightly roundish looking guy lifted his arm with the seal and swung it at the bars.

Clang!

What is he doing?! Is he insane?! He just! His wrist should not bend that way!

“Help! Somebody help!”

“Hmm, it is really tough. I tried to swing with all my strength. Hey, is it because of this thing that I can’t use my Dark Energy?”

“Wha…yeah?”

“Hmmmmmm…I guess I will swing some more.”

“Wait! Stop!”

Clang!

Clang!

It shattered! I know these things aren’t that tough, but it could still work underwater or in a fire! What kind of strength does this guy have? Is he a fighting type? No, he said ‘Dark’. Aah, here comes the guards!

“Hehehe, come on, bastards!”

He tries to use his power, but it still needs time to reload, so to speak. In the Arena, we have to wait a minute before we fight so our power regenerates.

But he doesn’t seem to need all that much! Who is this guy?!

“Hahaha! Looks like I get to have some practice! Dark Pulse and Punishment!”

Huh? Did he just combine moves? You can do that? And how did he use his power so quickly? Oh, it stopped.

“Hehe, I guess like this, the Dark Energy only lasts for a minute. Oh well.”

Bam!

They quickly knock him out and take him to the Infirmary.

A couple hours later, I hear more sounds and more guards rush towards the Infirmary. What is going on?

There he comes. They are dragging him to Isolation. They will lock him in a cell down the hall where he can’t hear anything, but we can hear everything. They usually pull some sort of interrogation and get him to scream, inflicting fear into all of us.

(There is no My Chemical Romance in the Pokémon world. I was only thinking this song just fits the situation)

But after another hour, I could hear a beat sounding out from his cell. Next, I heard the guy’s voice singing a song I never heard before. He wasn’t particularly good at singing, but it sounded nice. He was better at the beat. He did it in such a way that many people couldn’t help but tap in rhythm. Every day for the next week he would sing this song just after dinner.

Because he was disrupting everything, they just kept him down there. It didn’t take long for us to memorize the words and so we would join in. It felt good to do this. I mean, we couldn’t live like normal people, we weren’t able to see our family, but we could still speak out! Sure, no one would hear our cries and come help, but the least we could do was annoy these asshats!

But our joy ended all too soon as he was once again dragged away. They were giving him the axe. He was too much trouble to deal with, even if he was a good possible asset. The displays in our cells lit up to show the monthly death match that the sick people of the upper crust funded. He was going to fight Gladiator, a fighting type guy who knew Moves such as Low Kick, Bulk Up, Karate Chop, and Revenge. With this move set, he could take out any person with a type disadvantage in an instant!

The ring was already set up and Gladiator was waiting. The new guy was giving the guards trouble as they removed his bracelet for the fight, but they threw him into the arena shortly after. Gladiator was someone who loved to fight and only needed a little more points before he could join the government in their special team. He actually enjoyed this dangerous game.

He stood a good head taller than the new guy and was putting on airs. He believed he had a minute before the fight would start and then he would win. But what if that minute was full of attacks? This should be funny. No one liked the Gladiator because of his twisted personality. He wouldn’t torture people or rape women thank goodness, but he did treat everyone else as beneath him.

Time to knock him down a few pegs, new guy!

“Hahaha! Welcome to the Arena! You shall have to fight me, Glad”

Pow!

There he was! A quick punch to the nose! But why didn’t the new guy use his power?

“Hehe, this isn’t your day. For one minute, we have to fight like normal people! Come on!”

So that’s what he’s doing. I can hear people several cells away cheering for the new guy. I guess I’m not the only one who felt good after that.

Due to the energy flowing through us, we tend to take on the force we control. The Gladiator would become physically stronger even without using his power, but the new guy seems to just intimidate Gladiator by being near him.

Now that the first minute is up and they are using their powers, I can’t tell what all his Moves are. There’s Dark Pulse and Faint Attack, but he also has a physical attack and a targeting attack, probably Punishment. He is definitely a close combat person.

Punishment works wonders whenever Gladiator uses Bulk Up, so he stopped buffing himself to limit the damage he takes. From what I can see, the new guy actually has good control. Not perfect, but enough to defeat Gladiator. That was when someone next to me mumbled,

“He looks like a shadow…”

People started picking it up and they all whispered,

“Shadow…’

Soon the chanting grew to a level that could be heard throughout the area and then to all the surrounding halls as well. The entire building began to echo with the sound of all of our voices and guards came to shut us up. But the damage has been done. The new guy stood over Gladiator’s body before delivering a final attack, separating his head from his shoulders! A new champion has emerged!
