《Epoch of A.K. (DROPPED BUT BEING REVISED)》V1, C2
Advertisement
Three months passed since the rebirth of A.K., during this time period A.K. has slowly come to understand the words of this new language. Alongside the help of the System, which has never stopped analyzing and processing information. Storing it who knows where.
A.K. learned he was staying in his mother's quarters. It was also thanks to her efforts that he could pick up the language, for she never stops talking to him at any point that she knew he was awake, she would speak. Either telling him stories and legends of the land or telling him how much she loved him.
A.K. observed everyone and things in his immediate radius. Trying to get as much information as possible. He had yet to speak, although he could. He wasn’t sure if he would be perceived as an anomaly. He could also walk. Having almost entirely skipped the crawling stage. This, this was weird to A.K. as he was only a three-month-old baby. What three-month-old did you know who could talk and walk?
It was not until his third month that A.K. got some sort of information that he should be walking/talking by now. One of his fathers, who he learned was Duke of the West, healers came one morning to check on him. A.K. was once again subjected to a deep scan not only by his mother but the healer as well.
It was then he learned that he should be talking and walking already. As the healer stated there was nothing wrong with his body, and the baby (him) was simply choosing not to talk or move. This greatly upset his mother as her eyes watered and tears were brought forth. It was then A.K. decided to have his first conversation with his new mother. Part of the reason he chose to not do anything is that he was still coming to terms with his death. A.K. had never felt so powerless until the moment [ Beyond ] appeared.
A.K. did lots of contemplating during these three months and it's brought him to one conclusion, strength. The reason Earth was invaded and to his knowledge conquered by a single entity was strength. If he could have that sort of strength he could make wrong, right. A.K. never felt terror, unlike the one he felt when the Harbingers were chosen. He had his suspicions that the System had prevented a lot of minds from collapsing that day. Each System had a different voice, as well as, speaking pattern according to the host. It was why System was felt to be a bit cold and calculating to A.K.
He was the type who had been coddled most of his life. He never once left home to live elsewhere by himself. He always had meals prepared and whenever he was hurt or injured, his mother's embrace was there to comfort him.

The Lady was beside herself with worry. This was the third month her child had been born, yet not a peep nor a crawl was gotten out of him. At first, she thought he was just a slow learner, yet she could see the brightness of intelligence within his eyes. He was attentive whenever she spoke stories of myths and legends to him. He seems to be soaking up all the knowledge that she could tell. That made her grow increasingly worried since he would not talk nor take his first step. As a Magi Human herself she was up and about in a little over two and a half months. Hell even regular humans were up babbling by three months and crawling by 5.

The Lady did a grabbing motion in the air, and an orb appeared in her hand as if it was always there. She put a bit of magical energy within and waited. It wasn’t long until an image of her husband appeared within the air.
“Vasu it's been three months and our child has yet to speak, nor crawl. I am becoming terribly worried.” The Lady said as a frown appeared on her face.
“My love, do not fear. The child has already shown the spark of intelligence from the moment he was born. I have seen it deep within his eyes. Once he grows to understand us more, I am certain he will speak.” Vasu said with tender affection radiating in his every movement as he spoke to his wife. His voice was deep and crackled like embers in a burning fire.
The Lady smiled back at her husband, and after a few more words, turned back to her unruly child. The child in question had gone wide eye and stared in fascination at her and the orb within her hand.

As A.K. watched and listened to his mother. Judging from her words it was actually abnormal as a three-month-old Magi Human to not speak. He had picked up the term from the daily interactions between his mother and her servants. The System had also changed the ??? in his race to Magi Human. Solidifying his confirmation that he was indeed not a regular human anymore.
From his visual observations, A.K. learned that magi humans were big. Much bigger than your regular human. As most humans he saw from his mother's servants ranged from 178cm (5’10) to 200cm (6’5). The magi human guards he could catch a glimpse of were at least 250cm (8’2).
What stopped A.K. from finally opening his mouth was when his watch as his mother reached into the air, and when she drew her hand back an orb had appeared in it. Since then he watched, entranced, as his mother poured magical energy into the orb, and moments later his father appears almost like a hologram. This gave him a bit more insight into the technological progression of this new world. It also gave him a glimpse of his mother's power.
‘Can you estimate the strength of my mother?’
Unfortunately, no. If System attempts a scan on your mother Systems observations have given it a 98% chance of being caught. Leading to an unknown route. However judging from your status, System is inclined to believe a light scan of the servants and guard's physical attributes will not get you into much trouble.
“Momma give.” Although A.K. had picked up a good percent of the language enough to understand the interaction between his mother and the servants. He still had not picked up proper terms for some objects.
His mother who had finally hanged upon his father, staring wide-eyed at the child who had finally decided to talk before rushing over to his crib and handing him the orb. Staring at him as a smile blossomed upon her face.
For a moment A.K. was stunned by his mother, whose smile was radiant like the sun to him. A flush appeared on his cheeks. Making them a shade darker than it was previously, and a pang was felt in his chest. A genuine smile appeared on his face as he reaches out and grabbed the orb.
The orb in question was as unmagical as it could appear, looking like a giant marble especially in his hands. It was roughly the size of a softball and was quite heavy, yet A.K. noticed none of this. He grunted in exertion as he tried to force magical energy into it, yet the orb remained the same. The milky white orb had lit up and projected a hologram of his father, but he could not figure out how it worked or even how to input magical energy.

The Lady watched as her child handled the orb effortlessly, at first she was worried that he wouldn’t be able to handle the weight, yet that worry disappeared as with a grunt her child held the ball with both hands. A smirk appears on her face and a small chuckle escaped from her lips as she watches her child grunt and tries to move magical energy into the device. It seemed after a few minutes of struggling he finally remembered that she was standing over him. He looked up at her and asked “Momma how work?” With a slight tilt to his head.
Her heart exploded, and her chestnut skin definitely turned a shade darker. So cute! Her child was, and the love in her heart only grew stronger. She reaches over a gave his chubby cheeks a light squeeze. So soft! Another squeal of delight ran through her head and heart.
“Aegeus, my sweet little shield, the orb will not work because your magical signature does not match, nor do you know how to properly channel your internal mana,” she said. She had decided to call her child by his name least he does not know what it is.
“Wait until you’re three and a bit more developed and mother will teach you the basics.” The Lady said with the smile still on her face as she looked at her child with love and affection. Aegues gave a pouting expression and put the orb down.
“Why three?” The boy asked tears forming at the corner of his eyes. Cute! The Lady almost wanted to teach him then and there, however, she knew better than to allow a child whose foundations had barely begun to start practicing magic.
“Magi Humans are much different from our regular counterparts. We are stronger, faster, and can cast magic at much better speeds. Most human children must wait until seven to eight years of age to begin practicing magic. Magi Humans on the other hand can start at three because by that point your core will have stabilized and body is over its first major growth phase.” The Lady explains to her child, but only confusion appears within his eyes.
“What growth phase?” Aegues ask with clear confusion in his expression.
“Magi Humans have several growth phases. In which their mind and body grow at a faster rate than humans. In the first phase, you will grow to around the size of a seven-year-old child. The second phase will start when you are four and from then until seven, you will grow taller and resemble a human child of around twelve years. From eight to thirteen your body will grow until you resemble a teenager. Finally from fourteen to eighteen, your body will start to develop into that of a young man. That will be the last growth stage that you will receive without the improvement of your body or magical abilities. Most magi humans experience at least two more. Yet your father and I have gone through several more stages.” The Lady explained. She watches as her child absorbed the information with satisfaction.
With a stern expression appearing on her face the Lady said “Now that you’re finally talking we will begin your lessons on etiquette immediately. You’re three months old yet you’re still peeing and pooping in your clothes.” She watches as the coco baby became one shade darker and she once again reaches out and gave his cheeks a slight pinch.

A.K. pondered on all the information he had just received. However, before he could go deeper into his thoughts. His mother scooped him from his crib and carried him in her arms over to her desk. She then grabs the book with strange characters appearing on it. Nothing like the characters and letters he had seen on Earth.
“This is Imperial, the language we speak, as well as, the surrounding kingdoms. It is known as the language of trade for all bargaining is usually done through it” his mother told him. “It will be the first of many languages you will be required to learn as the first son of the duke. You will also learn the Elves Common Tongue, the Orcish Grunts, and the Dwarven language of Stone. The elves with their numerous tribes and dialects came together roughly six thousand years ago to create the common tongue. It is the language most common humans, dwarfs, and surrounding races use to communicate. Imperial is what the noble or those of stature use. However there are numerous races among this planet, so you will be required to understand a bit more than these four.”
A.K. listens to his mother teach him with a smile on his face. Slowly beginning to learn and understand Imperial in a little under a week. The rest of the languages came to A.K. over the course of serval weeks. After around another two months, he was speaking fluently not only in Imperial but the common tongue as well. The Orcish Grunts and Dwarven Stone took a bit longer. The Orish Grunts were exactly that, grunts among other things made up the main communication of their language. For Dwarven Stone it was a bit similar with grunts mixed in, yet the tones and pitch of your voice could have entirely two or more different meanings. Imperial and the common tongue were much simpler and straightforward in terms of communication.
As A.K. grew his status was growing alongside him. A.K. also got a rough estimation of the strength of his mother's servants and maids. He didn’t dare attempt to do a probe on the guards just yet.
‘Status’
Level: 3
Race: Magi Human

Vitality: 13
Intelligence: 33
Endurance: 18
Strength: 13
Dexterity: 18
Wisdom: 8
Will: 8
Attribute Points: 14
Skills: ???, ???
This was the change to A.K.'s status after several months. Most of it had grown naturally alongside his body. However, his wisdom had increased as he learned and got a deeper understanding of the languages his mother was teaching him. Most of his stats increased anywhere from two to three, with his wisdom increasing by five. He also now had a total of fourteen attribute points to distribute among his status. The attribute section had appeared after his first level up granting him seven points. With his second level up now achieve it confirmed his assumption of receiving seven points level up. With one given for each attribute he had.
The information he got from the System with his approval of doing scans on the servants gave him a rough estimation of how strong humans are. Magi humans were still an unknown factor to him.
Level: ???
Race: Human
Bloodline: None
Health: 1540/1540
Mana: 1250/1250
Stamina: 1800/1800
Vitality: 154
Intelligence: 125
Endurance: 180
Strength: 160
Dexterity: 190
Wisdom: 120
Will: 50
Although their levels were still unknown from what the System could gleam this was the average servant's status. Of course, A.K. assumes they were slightly hire than a regular humans as these people were all servants of a dukedom. Thus he assumes they were better fed and trained than the average person.
He still wasn’t sure what level of society and technology was available to the general public as he was basically a prince. What he was sure of was that a lot of the products in the duchess room functioned on magic. When he was bathed, blue and red stones were used to control the heat of the water. He wasn’t quite used to someone else washing him but he quickly grew over it. He was even coming to better terms with his timely death. Although he still held attachments to his old family. This new one had only shown him love and affection. At least his mother did, he had not seen his father since his birth, nor did he know of any other family members besides these two.
Back to the magical devices, he noticed. The lights where gems brighten and lowered with the wave of a hand. Whenever he wore clothes he could feel some sort of presence within them. Later after asking his mother he learned all his clothes have enchantments on them. He had not seen any signs of a TV, yet his mother always grabbed various orbs from who knows where with different entertainment and plays upon them. Stories of myths and legends of the human race, their allies, and stories of the Empress. A.K. had come to learn the Empire he lived in was under the command of the Empress, who if the stories did her any justice was one of the most beautiful women upon this land. Another thing he notices was that nobody was seriously ugly. From the maids to the guards, most people would be referred to as handsome or pretty if they belonged to Earth. His last and final observation, as bedtime was getting close and his mother was adamant about him getting his proper sleep, was that he seemed to be getting some type of herbal bath as every time he was bathing his pores would open and absorb the nutrients within the water.
