《This World Really Knows How To Hit A Nerve》Chapter 7: Too Much Bloodshed For Him

Takeshi tailed goblins while keeping a safe distance, tracking their movements. After half an hour they reached a cave, which had a very shallow entrance. They dragged hostages into this cave. After which goblins moved some bushes to hide it's opening.

He decided to first prepare himself for what was about to unfold. He took out an armoured corps uniform, complete set. He put back the vest and instead took out some other one. The uniforms were basically just for aesthetics, upon wearing them in game one's avatar gained armour points far superior than one can in real world increasing one's strength exponentially and making their virtual body tougher. He changed his vest to also have a heat resistance in case goblins attacked him with fire. Then he started filling his pockets with magazines and grenades. He took out two M18 and extra magazines.

As his primary weapon he decided to go along with M4 Carbine, M4A1 fully automatic variant to deal with swarming goblins in a small enclosed area. It was a light weight, more compact assault rifle widely used in US military before use of energy based laser weapons began. Takeshi's game was set in a fictional world where WW3 began in the early half of 21st century where most weapons made lots of noise and even now were seen as cool. No one liked laser guns which didn't made any noise, nor had any recoil. Even artillery and missiles were being replaced with energy based weapons in real world, which no gamer liked. Although he would've chosen energy based weapon that could shoot a 1000 shots in one charge and produce more damage in real life situation such as this but his game wasn't modelling such modern weapons.

He chose fragmentation grenades M67 which was going to be lethal to almost naked goblins and couple of flash grenades M84. While grabbing them one after another he started feeling dizzy, he knew if he pull out more he might faint. He had over 20 magazines for M4A1, 30 bullets each. He could only carry 7 on his uniform. He took out a tactical backpack despite making himself feel a bit more dizzy and stored grenades and magazines that couldn't be carried on his uniform in it.

He kept a flash grenade in one hand, ready to be thrown and started walking towards the opening of the cave. He slipped in through the bushes and landed in a small tunnel. He had to crouch very low to keep moving forward. It was a very narrow tunnel. He could hear the screams of hostages.

At the end of the tunnel, he could see light. He thought of throwing the stun grenade. If there were plenty of goblins he could shoot them while they were confused, humans too will be disturbed but only for sometime. It might be the case that goblins were too close to hostages, so he needed to pay attention while aiming.

With this thought he went closer, pulled the pin of stun grenade and threw it in. He then rushed into the opening. His glasses blocked grenade's flash. It was a larger excavated area where he could stand properly. He saw hostages scattered with a bunch of goblins near each of them. Hostages clothes were torn off while goblins weren't even hiding their private parts, although for now all of them were on the ground with hands on their eyes. He began shooting them. It was a large well lit room due to born fire like situation in the middle of the room so he didn't faced any problems aiming at bewildered goblins.

After some time more goblins came from multiple tunnels that opened in that room. He started to gunning them down, but obviously not all goblins could be gunned down. Many closed the distance, climbed on his back attempting to stab and bite. One of the goblins tried to dig his teeth into Takeshi's neck. To his dismay, his teeth could touch his skin and hold it in his mouth but no matter how hard he bite and pull the skin, it didn't tore off. His teeth couldn't get into Takeshi's flesh.

Takeshi meanwhile just kept shooting down incoming goblins since goblins on him could do nothing except be a bother and block his vision. He felt goblins going for his neck, stabbing and biting, but it just felt as if someone was poking him. He grabbed the ones who blocked his vision, while letting the goblins bite his leg. The armoured uniform was working very well.

Soon arrows started to hit him, some arrows had their head on fire. Goblins who were clinging to him caught fire but that was not a menace to him. He kept shooting. Goblins threw everything, stones, arrows, axes, fire, traps, themselves on him but nothing could stop him. Soon the goblins realised that they were dealing with a monster. They ran back to their holes. Takeshi threw grenade into those holes.

They had set up emergency closure measures by putting a boulder at the end of the tunnels. But Takeshi had super human strength, enough to kick them out of his way and enter their rooms where they lived. It seemed that there were humans in every second room. He saw some women who were tied up naked with round bellies.

He went into several rooms mowing down goblins until he didn't had any magazines left. He threw all his grenades and empty his pistols in room after room. There were still rooms he couldn't go in, if he took out more weapons he would faint. After this he then decided to pull another M4A1 magazine, last one from console.. He felt dizzy while pulling. He decided it's enough for now, he had killed hundreds of goblins. It's time to look for the hostages.

He picked up a goblin hiding in fear in a corner of the room. Gave him a knife and looked at him and pointed to the two ladies tied up with round bellies. That goblin was literally crying. Goblin understood and went to cut bondages of those ladies. After bondages were released, the ladies didn't moved. One of them tried standing up but fell. She kept trying to lift herself up but her limbs weren't strong enough. Takeshi tried to support her. After she stood straight with Takeshi's help, when Takeshi let go she fell again. The other lady wasn't even trying. They had been kept tied with no sunlight and proper food for God knows how long, they have either lost their will to live, those who haven't have to deal with weak bodies that can no longer carry them.

Takeshi didn't knew what to do at this point. Should he make the goblins carry them? Can goblins carry them? Can he convey this to goblins? There were a lot of hostages here. He didn't wanted to leave anyone behind. He decided to remove bondages of each hostage, for now only move the one who could move and later make round trips for others. Maybe take help from people who survived the slaughter back at the camp.

Takeshi picked up the goblin with knife and went into rooms he had already cleared. He thought about other rooms blocked by goblins. He could easily lift boulders to enter them but he doesn't have much ammo left to fight endless goblins. Nearly every room had more tunnels which lead to more rooms, did they had more women too? He thought since their colony was discovered he could talk to authorities and help other hostages.

The trembling goblin opened up bondages of hostages. There were 22 hostages that were able to stand up. The first room alone had 9 of them. After all the 22 were in the first room which Takeshi entered, he gestured them to go into the tunnel.

He looked at the goblin who held his knife and noticed unlike other goblins this one was smaller, wasn't completely naked, at least down there, and it had something like breasts.

He ignored questions that were pouring in his mind and looked at the 22 women who nodded at him. They went into the tunnel one after the other and finally he too went in.

It was about sunrise when he came out of the cave. All the women were hiding their body parts with their hands. He started walking from where he came while everyone followed him.

After reaching to the place where carriages stood most women ran towards the carriages and people they knew while some just stayed behind and looked at them. The fireball girl went past Takeshi to address women behind him.

Takeshi after seeing all the people crying while dead bodies of men and children laid on the ground thought whether it was appropriate to ask people already in shock to help rescue others back in the cave. He instead went back alone.

Upon returning he saw the goblin with breasts laying down dead. She was still holding on to his knife. The place had developed a smell of blood and rotting flesh.

He looked away and went into tunnels to pick women one by one and shift them outside of this cave. He saw another horrifying sight. All the women that couldn't move were dead. Their throats were slit. He came across the women pair who had their bondages removed first. Both of their throats were slit too and they lay in their blood. Their bellies were too cut open. In fact all the women with round bellies, had their bellies cut open. Takeshi puked, nothing came out of his mouth apart from his saliva. The whole colony was soaking in Goblin and Human blood which couldn't be differentiated with naked eye. No one was in the rooms. The tunnels he didn't explored were closed like before. He didn't had enough ammo to fight any longer and this was already too much bloodshed for him. While aiming his movements might be very mechanical but now the stench of blood and flesh felt too real. These rooms were not entirely dark, they were lit by sunlight coming through small openings in the ceiling.

He came back to the camp and saw the girl from the Inn sitting below a tree. He went there and sat beside her. Her arm was missing. He thought that maybe the arm was barely attached so the person attending wounded completely cut it off. Or it could be that the journey was still long so in order to prevent infection they cut it off and bandaged it.

Takeshi remembered that he had something called a medi kit. It was an item created for restoring body parts in case any damage occurred to one's avatar while testing weapons. It looked like a small chemical bottle as long as his palm which had a clear liquid. One could call it a vile in setting like this world. Pouring liquid where damage was done restored that body part to a state in which avatar was spawned. If someone lost a limb while testing a grenade, instead of calling someone to fix it from outside or jumping in and out of the game it could be fixed within that session and testing could continue. It's not like the person was going to feel any pain in a game, so they could just pour that liquid on themselves and fix themselves in a blink of an eye.

Takeshi stood in front of her, then bent down to take her hand. She resisted a bit but then she saw his eyes. He had taken off his glasses, she could see his golden eyes were now bloodshot. She then allowed him to take her bandage off. Her forearm's bone could be seen protruding out of the flesh. He opened his console and took out a bottle named 'medi kit'. As soon as he took it out he fainted and fell to the ground.

"Hey, hey.... My Lord are you okay? My Lord? Are you okay? Salem-Sama here, we need help!"

Salem approached elf-girl pair on being called for help.

"What happened Sasha?"

"I don't know, he was using summoning magic, as soon as he summoned something he fainted."

"Let me check. He seems all right, his breathing is normal. Let's take him inside carriage to attend his wounds."

Sasha picked up her bandage and the vile Takeshi summoned while Salem dragged him to the carriage. She attended to his wound and took care of the arrow head stuck in his arm.

"Hey miss why did you opened up your bandage? Your wound will start bleeding again."

"I didn't, he did and then he took out this vile before fainting."

"What is it? He took it out after removing you bandage? So this is probably something for your wound. Is it some kind of disinfectant, or painkiller? Or is it some expensive healing potion elves use? I also need compensation for my magic crystal from this high born elf. But I'm not in a hurry, he can probably compensate me easily maybe even reward me. Why don't you apply it to your wound, lets see what happens."

Salem took the vile and opened it, it's content were clear as water which she thought was odd for a potion. She poured some of it on the amputated limb of the girl and watched an entire arm grew in a blink of an eye. She grabbed the girl's arm tightly to check it, it was as good as new, as if nothing happened. No scars, no nothing. Like a miracle.

She released her tight grip and looked at the vile in astonishment.

"What is this? What kind of high born magic is this? Is this even possible? This guy looks like the most high born elf out there, are they really that advance in magic? I have never seen anyone with this kind of potent potion. With just a few drops it can heal this much." She immediately closed the vile. This vile in her hand was now was being treated very delicately by her as if it was a new born baby in some noble family.

"I don't know." Sasha said. Sasha too was astonished. She thought after loosing a limb neither she will be able to join any adventurers guild, become mercenary, nor anyone will give a disabled any good job. Men will reject her for not being able to do house work properly. But now she looked at her new hand. It was like the old one. She didn't felt any pain anymore. There wasn't any scares. It was as if she never lost one.

"Hey Sasha, do you know this elf? Are you his slave of something? I saw you together last night."

"Yes and no, he is a friend of mine, we are together going to Berxley."

"Oh come on, a noble your friend?"

"Yes, he is very nice and not like other nobles."

This vile is probably more expensive then my crystal. A potion that can grow an entire limb. I wonder how much nobility here will pay if I were to auction this elf magic. Any noble who lost a limb or an eye in a battle will give at least 5 medium type fire magic crystals straight from Agni mines. I should try to convince this elf to compensate me with this potion. Or I can just forget to mention it. If he asks for the vile I'll just pretend I don't know what he is talking about and flash this girl some gold so she too keep her mouth shut. Salem thought to herself.

"Hey Sahsa, why don't you remain with our Highness here and take care of him? He looks very tired. I'll go and attend other people."

"Okay, thanks for helping us out Salem-sama. And also, would you mind applying that potion on his wounds too."

Salem bit her lip. She then with a bitter smile pour as little as possible on Takeshi's wounds. After Takeshi too was all healed up, the potion was half left. Salem closed the vile and disappeared immediately before Sasha could ask her to return the vile.

Takeshi's head was on Sasha's lap while she stroked his head. Takeshi opened his eyes after some time. He saw Sasha smiling at him.
