《Forbidden Book》Second Meeting

A giant spaceship landed in the middle of a small village. The villagers ran away from the spaceship panicking. A bulky man in a red suit of armor that his entire body and face minus his stone black eyes walked out of the vehicle. "Attack," he commanded with no emphasis in his voice.
A horde of spiky black-haired men jumped out of the window raiding the settlement. Sakura rushed up to one of the men and delivered a powerful punch to his midsection, kicking him back. She followed with a roundhouse kick, knocking the dark-haired man to the floor. The pink-haired girl brushed down her pink capri pants. She grabbed her blue jean jacket. "Arashi, go!"
Arashi extended his arms as he dived down from the sky. Blue flames began to surround his claws as he swiped them at another of one of the dark-haired men. "Sakura, do you know what's going on?" Arashi wiped some dirt off his hands onto his red vest.
Sakura shook her head. "I wish I did."
The bulky man in red armor turned his right arm into a cannon and blasted the village, smoke erupting from the attack. Arashi grunted. "Ai! Go take everyone inside and put up a shield!"
The white-haired Magic Bakemono nodded. "You got it, Arashi. Everyone, come on!" Ai ran, leading all of the inhabitants, her waist-length hair flowing behind her.
Another cannon shot fired, killing most of the villagers. Ai pivoted around, dirtying her black boots a little. "Oh no!"
"Just keep going!" Arashi yelled. "Four of them are still alive!"
Ai hesitated. "Okay." She ran, leading the remaining villagers into a safe house, a green shield forming around it.
Sakura turned to face Arashi. "Okay, let's do this."
A handful of the black-haired men charge towards Sakura. She plummeted her fist into the ground, causing rocks and dust to rise, and blew them all away. The man in the red armor appeared behind Sakura and Arashi and shot them with his cannon.
"Nice to meet you both." The man picked them up by the back f their shirts. "My name is Jiro. And I will be in charge of you two from now on." Jiro takes the unconscious Sakura and Arashi to the spaceship followed by the horde of black-haired men dissolving into one and flew off into the clear blue sky.

A girl about thirteen with a frail figure stood before Sato. He couldn't make out her face, but he saw she was wearing an orange minidress, black boots, and a black scarf wrapped around her neck. "Sato. Please help us. Help me. Bakemonia needs your help again."
"What are you talking about?" The purple-haired teen asked. "Who are you?"
The girl began to fade. "I'm running out of time. Sato, you have to remember!"
Sato shot straight up in his bed as he awoke from the dream. "That same dream. Again." Sato got out of bed. He put on his black jacket over his orange t-shirt. He tightened his belt to hold his blue jeans up. Sato combed his purple bangs sweeping them downward to the side. "Good to go."
As Sato walked into the kitchen, his mom looks up from her newspaper. "Good morning, Satoshi."
"Morning Mom," Sato replied as he grabbed a donut. "Hey, Mom. Do you think dreams have a meaning?" Sato asked before he bit into the donut.
She put a finger to her lips. "Hmm. It depends. Why?"
"I've been having the same dream for two months now," Sato told her. "Some girl with these big huge angel wings in an orange minidress keeps asking me to help her and this thing called Bakemonia."
Sato's mother made a strange look. "I'm sorry, Satoshi. I can't help you."
Sato sighed. "Right. Alright later, I'm off to school!" Sato ran out the door.
An apprehensive look shadowed over Sato's mother's features. "I have a bad feeling. Your real journey is about to begin. Good luck, my son."
A couple of hours later, Sato is walking through the hallways with Kenji to the school's dojo. "So." Kenji started. "Why Martial Arts? Couldn't we have tried out for baseball or something instead?"
Sato shook his head. "I tell you this every year, Kenji. Something just feels right when I'm in a fight, giving it my all."
Kenji sighed. "Yeah, that's why you're a ninth-degree black belt manic who no one even wants to take on any more. Seriously man, ever since you got back from the hospital two years ago, you've never been the same. You used to be more of a wimp than I was.

Sato laughed rubbing his neck. "What can I say? It just feels like its second nature to me somehow."
"Hey, big brother! I'm a freshman now!" A feminine voice spoke from the corner of the hallway.
Sato immediately turned his head noticing a blonde girl talking to her brother.
"Now we're both in high school," she said with a giggle.
Sato reached in his pocket and took out an orange yoyo. He stared sentimentally at the object.
"Aren't you a little too old to have a yoyo, Sato?" Kenji teased his friend. "But seriously you should throw that thing away."
"No way!" Sato shouted, gripping tightly onto the yoyo. "I feel like there's something special about this yoyo. I don't remember where or when I got it, but still. It's important to me."
Kenji stared blankly at Sato. "Um, o-kay."
Sato turns the yoyo over and notices a name on it. "Ai," he read the name aloud.
"Who?" A confused Kenji asked.
Sato gasped. "Ai! Ai needs my help!" He ran out the school. Once he was outside and behind the school building, he saw a green portal. Sato raced to the portal. "Hang on, Ai. I'm coming!" Sato leaped into the portal. It spiraled around him and shot him out. Suddenly he found himself on moist grass. He noticed black boots in front of his face."
"Well, it sure took you long enough, big brother, Sato." Ai smiled brightly.
Sato got up dusting off his blue jeans. "Ai, is that really you? You look different now. Did you do something with your hair?"
Ai sighed. "Big brother, Sato. This isn't the time to be joking around." The girl's expression darkened. "Sakura and Arashi have both been kidnapped and brainwashed by a man named Jiro."
Sato grunted. "But why?"
"I don't know. I worked my butt off practicing dimension magic so that you could help me find out. But you took forever to come." Ai frowned, placing her hands on her hips.
"Well, sorry," Sato said sarcastically. "But my memory was erased."
Four kids ran up to Sato and Ai. A green-haired girl, about seven with dog ears stared at Sato in awe. "Whoa, so you're Sato of the Heroic Four?"
Sato grinned. "Yep, that's me."
"Move out of the way, Hoshiko! Another girl with black hair, about nine with a long black monkey tail pushed Hoshiko and walked up to Sato. "Ai was right. You are cute!"
Ai blushed. "Kikyo, shut up! Don't listen to her, Sato! She's just a kid, she doesn't know anything!"
Sato laughed awkwardly. "Well, thank you Kikyo, I'm flattered."
A brown-haired boy about twelve with a snake-like tongue, complete with a set of fangs spit on the ground. "I don't see what's so great about this guy. I could take him down any day."
"Yeah, sure you could, Hotaru," Kikyo said mockingly.
Sato looked over at a blue-haired boy, about six. "And who's this one?"
"That's Yuuki," Kikyo informed him.
"He doesn't talk much," Hotaru added.
The blue-haired boy stares at Sato with his icy blue eyes. "You're supposed to be a hero right?"
Sato nodded. "Yeah, I guess."
"I hate heroes. They're all the same, selfish." The blue-haired boy walked off leaving a trail of ice behind him."
Sato turned to Ai. "Okay, Ai. So what are we gonna about Sakura and Arashi?"
Ai frowned again. "I can only think of one thing. After the invasion two months ago, all seven of Bakemonia's kings have been overthrown by Jiro's assistant Kaoru. He rules over all of them by using his clones."
"So what are we gonna do?" Sato asked.
"Right now he's powerful because he's in possession of six of the seven sacred keys." Ai continued, "If we can manage to steal them from him we should be able to fight back and get a lead on where Jiro has taken Sakura and Arashi."
Sato nodded. "Right. So then, let's get going."
Ai turned to the kids. "Hotaru. You're in charge for now."
Kikyo grabbed onto Ai's arm. "Ai! Please don't leave!"
"I'm sorry, Kikyo. But I'll be back soon, okay?" Ai assured her.
"Okay." Kikyo let go of Ai's arm.
Sato and Ai walked out of the village. "So, where are we headed to first?
"The Kingdom of Sihalia," Ai answered. "But it's not the same."

Post War Rules
Life on Torus Terminal is usually fast paced, but simple. A frontier Terminal has little room for easy living, but the great, circular station does boast shopping and culinary experiences from many Imperial races and cultures. Any star is, by its nature, extremely far from its neighbors. But laser highways, and the great shimmering sails of the light-rider spaceships make the trip into only about ten years. Still, the denizens of Torus Terminal eagerly await the day when the Anti-Euclidean Engine their station is built around finally comes online. Once that is done, they will have unfettered access to the entire Empire. Instantaneous travel and trade across hundreds of stars. Torus Terminal does boast one other oddity: a creature which calls itself Human. As he says, the last of his kind for now. He has made quite the life for himself on Torus Terminal, especially in the darker corners of the station. The elites of Torus Terminal praise his name, for once he took up arms, crime began to fall. What they did not realize was that was because he had claimed the seedy underbelly of Torus Terminal for himself and his own goals. The elites praise him as a paragon of law. The criminals fear him as a ruthlessly clever crime boss. Those closest to him, know him as the General. This story was originally posted on the Humanity Fuck Yeah subreddit, where it evolved from a simple play on a historical figure in a science fiction setting into a full blown space opera. I kind of took it as an opportunity to explore a setting I've had rolling around in my head for years. I also decided that it would be nice to have it in a place where I could more easily come back and edit it later, so I'm reposting it here. Here's a link to the original posting if you're interested: https://www.reddit.com/r/HFY/comments/e9cwpl/post_war_rules/ If my genre and tagging is subpar, let me know. I'm still new to Royal Road and I'm open to help. Feel free to comment and make suggestions, or discuss. I love comments, and so long as we keep things civil I also love criticism.

Battle Hardened
Formerly know as "Long experience" I have changed the name due to feedback saying it sounding like a dick joke. When the apocalypse started most people ran or hid, but Texas has a different mentality. This story follows the exploits of a group of physically and mentally damaged military veterans that have found themselves on the frontline fight at the end of the world. Zombies, robots, and aliens are only the first enemies they fight in what wil become humanity's long war or last stant against to a hostile universe. This series is actually based on a series of strange and bizarre dreams/nightmares I had on 2010 and heavily influenced by my reading of Humanity Fuck Yeah stories. Cover: I actually made a much larger cover than necessary and was forced to crop out two thirds of it, the full image can be found here http://fav.me/ddkz10t
