《Fate Of The Swordsmen》Chapter 0: The Xalnog
Advertisement
Eighteen years ago a terrible betrayal occurred within the Swordsman Order. One that not only shook the very foundation of the order itself and one that destroyed millions of lives. Terath historically is a kingdom on the East Continent of Bromarth called Ecia. This continent houses five separate Kingdoms including Terath which spans from the far North to the middle of the continent.
The Swordsman Order protects all innocent living beings, however, it's located almost exclusively in Terath. In the Swordsman Order was an immortal man, or rather a man who became immortal, his name is Maluk. Suddenly, without any warning, after over one thousand years of loyal service, he betrayed The Swordsman Order in the worst way.
Maluk had brought back an evil that he destroyed himself seven hundred years ago, The Xalnog. They are cursed beings. If a Xalnog bites you, or you happen to ingest a single drop of blood you become a demonic skinless monster covered head to toe in blood. This is a curse that removes your humanity.
Xalnog are not mindless either. They retained the level of intelligence they did at birth, even worse is their natural strength, stamina and agility become tenfold stronger. The problem is, not only did Maluk bring them back, he and ten other swordsmen who defected became Xalnog. Under Maluk’s control, they took over the North of Terath which was rife with issues of its own.
Since this occurred, Maluk himself has remained quiet. However, he constantly sends his Xalnog Purebloods to assault the massive wall which acts as a border between North and South. When Xalnog mate they make Pure Blooded Xalnog. Strong but incredibly stupid, they grow at an astonishing rate. Maluk is biding his time, waiting for the new Great Demon War to start. The Swordsman order readies it’s next-generation, knowing that it might be the last generation, due to the looming threat of Maluk.

Kingmaker
This story is on hiatus/abandonned. People die, then that's all... or at least, it should be that way. There may be anomalies, yes – the occasional hero of old getting reincarnated for some obscure purpose – but who knows what the gods are thinking. If they are thinking at all. If there are gods, to begin with. What would explain such a mistake, then? The hero mark wasn't given to our reborn champion, but to his perfectly normal sister. A prank from these mindless gods, perhaps. Luckily for him, he was done with this hero business and had other plans for his new life, so it's all good... Here is the story of one who isn't meant to stand among heroes, kings and emperors anymore, yet will find himself holding power over them.

Mated at first sight
Evie went to college at her hometown to get away from Ashton (her mate that she rejected after she found out what he really did to her).Ashton was heart broken, had probably an alcohol problem and his pack was slacking. Josh found out where Evie was hinding after weeks if not months. He told Ashton where she was and they went to her hometown."Ashton?" My whisper seemed to travel all the way to them because Ashton and Josh both turn to look my way. I hear him shout my name and a couple seconds later I'm being pulled into a chest."Evie." Ashton says almost breathlessly, as if he's in shock from seeing me."Let go of me." I spit out, trying to keep the anger in front of the hurt."I can't." He whispers."Well you need to. I thought I made it clear last time, we are done." I say heatedly, anger and hurt crashing through me.Ashton closes his eyes and takes a deep breath, "I'm sorry," he whispers, "but I have to."Panic flirts through me, "Have to what?"Ashton leans down and puts his lips against my neck and starts kissing softly. Heat floods through me and chases away any panic, anger or hurt. I feel my body lean into his embrace and can't help but feel like I should never move from his arms."I'm sorry." Ashton whispers against my neck. Before I can say anything, I feel his teeth against my neck.
