December 5th 2050, the horrific event in Asia known as the rebellion of the 2 cities in China
The 2 cities unioned under one flag, one name, and one government. They were renamed to, Duguo. (獨國) Duguo marched forward towards China, as the communist party panicked more and cities were taken over by Duguo. The united nations, and other nations had decided to stay out of this affair as long as there was no nuclear weapons involved. Duguo was alone, facing the strongest superpower in the world. China.
February, 2051 Taiwan agreed to union along with Duguo and was absorbed into the Duguo nation. The Guangdong province was taken over by the sudden rebellion, however China stood strong. With a fit of fury, and lightning speed time.. The chinese army in the area grew from 100,000, to a strong 2 million.
The Duguo armies were no match for the Chinese army, and were pushed back to Guangzhou. Taiwan’s leadership then quickly split the nation from the falling Duguo, leaving Duguo to fall alone.
With the advanced Chinese technologies, the Duguo armies were unable to overpower them after Taiwan had split away from Duguo after a secret meeting with the UN, which agreed that as long as Taiwan had split from Duguo, the UN would take measures to ensure Taiwan’s independence from China.
In the summer of 2051, the remainders of the troops of Duguo surrendered and the official reannexation of Hong Kong and Macau was official. Instead of being treated like normal citizens Duguo’s citizens were treated like 2nd class.
An event took place every year to remind the crushing of Duguo. The event was named, the Death Simulation. A VR simulation made after the game named “Nova Burst Online”. The VR was like the Virtual translating headgear, however the reality in there was 100 times faster than normal life. It was classified military class technology.

50 Children from every district in the 2 cities, with a total of 20000 children with their ages ranging from 10-16 will have to participate in a VRMMORPG styled simulation. In this VRMMORPG styled simulation, there was no admin.
A system called the Autoevent kept the system updated, as new special skills were created, and it patched all the bugs, and kept an eye on the NPCs. In other words it was the ultimate AI.
A larger helmet, different to the Virtual Transforming Headgear was made for the purpose of the death games, a large full body bed was made so that the person’s consciousness could be sucked up into the time sped virtual world. The original goal was to slow down time there, however the new one was different.
The new one, was to use the sped up time recorded data of all the children inside the Death Simulation and apply the Simulation’s results into real life.
By using the data gathered by the children who used literal superpowers within the simulation, the Chinese scientists attempted to crack a biological limit which was never ever thought of possible: Unlocking the full potential of a human. The theory was that if we could use... All 100% of our strength and 100% of brain power, with some aid of technology... Super soldiers could be created.
Project Bioroid was made, and they recorded down the results of the children who were stuck inside the death simulation, which was made as close to reality as possible for the purpose of the experiment. As of today... They've yet to crack this limit, or to even come close...

The Spy used to live for nothing but money — until he found himself a family. And the Slave craved freedom more than air — until a small hand reached to her for help. Eskela has known conflict for centuries. War had been engrained into the very soil of every one of the eight kingdoms, and blood has been smeared over history to paint a lie. When young prince Aldric, heir to the Aguki throne, learns his position is nothing but a farce, his world crumbles down around him. As he tries desperately to find power in a world determined to rob him of it, his cousin Rhiann plots to find freedom through more extreme and destructive means. Conflict does not reside in Cinthra alone, though. Erden, newly hired spymaster for the crown prince of Promnir, is tasked with keeping an eye on the kingdom’s council. The job that was supposed to just be about money quickly spirals into a fierce loyalty, one that leads him to the front lines in order to desperately prevent another war from beginning. Azala, a slave bought by the royal family of Azmosir, finds her loyalty is not nearly as solidified as that of Erden’s. But while the prince she serves plots to steal that which does not belong to him and the queen she respects holds on to a lingering desire for revenge, Azala realizes that she must choose whom to save: herself or Azmosir's defenseless and young princess.
8 180Human & [Inhuman]
In a modern Japan just like our own, unbeknownst to the general populace, there are [Inhumans] who are capable of channeling [Soul Energy] into unique [Magic] through their physiological differences from normal humans, as well as [Compatibles] who possess an excess of said [Soul Energy]. [Inhuman] and [Compatible] are designed to work together, to complete each other. In such a world, underground feuds between bloodlines are common, and no duo is safe from destiny. Perhaps love can yet blossom on the battlefield? This is a piece that heavily takes inspiration from animanga/japanese light novels, and is also sort of an experimental piece to see if combining the exposition style of japanese light novels with the narrative and descriptive techniques of western literature can work. Prepare for two-person team battle action, romance, as well as some slice-of-life on the side.
