《The Misadventures of a Young Dark Magician》Episode 5 (Part 3)

Back in the human world, Benjamin snooped around to find the sphere. While looking around, he stumbled across a calculator inside one of the opened lockers and stares at it. Remembered learning a particular spell like this back in the library (while still finding a way to get here), Benjamin reprogramed the device to make it more of an analyzer, so it’d be easier for him to search for the sphere. After getting it to work, he went to each locker one by one, trying to see what each one contained, and if any of them had the sphere, he sought.
So far, no such luck. As Benjamin wandered floor to floor, inspecting every big and small locker that there was, he questioned the possibilities of finding one sphere among so many cabinets and how many of them there were. Why were they all the same color? Benjamin didn’t remember them all being blue before; maybe he was on a different floor?
There had to be a more straightforward method of doing this; he got sick and tired of seeing everyone’s books, clothes, and a bunch of other garbage that these humans usually have, but where could this magician find it? He knew her name, but they don’t show names on there at all? Wait, of course!

In a nearby office, the Earth Principal checked something out on her computer.
A loud knock on the door startled her. Who could it be? The Principal with purple hair closed off all the tabs she had on before replying to the loud banging sound.
“Come in; whoever you are.” She said as the door swung open.
Benjamin stepped inside and closed the door behind him.
“Hey, lady, I need some help with...” Benjamin started with his hands raised; his voice trailed off as he looked over to see the computer the lady was right next to.

“Yes, Mr. Benjamin, what is it?” She asked in a cheery tone.
“Ooh, what’s that thing you got over there?” He inquired, pointing at the device.
“Um, a computer? You do all sorts of things with it.” The human principal raised an eyebrow. Did he not know about computers?
“Oh, really? And by any chance, could it also—?”
“It could, but you are not allowed to.”
“Can you stop interrupting me? How will you know what I’m saying if—?”
“You want to know who each locker belongs to, correct?” The principal asked, this time in a more serious tone.
“H-how did you know?” A shiver fell down Benjamin’s spine. He couldn’t believe this. Was he afraid? No, it can’t be. “L-look, I need to find something critical and—”
“I don’t care for excuses; your words are meaningless. Why do you even want to do that?”
“Maybe if you stop interrupting—”
“Don’t you have a class to teach, Mr. Benjamin?”
“I...”
“...You’re not planning something, are you? Why are you here?”
“I’m not doing anything suspicious at all!”
“Do you mean it?”
“Y-yes, I swear.”
The human principal examined him before responding again. “Get out.”
.-.-.-.
Phew, that was a close one. Benjamin thought as he rushed out of the door, his heart pounded across his ribcage. After taking a couple of breathers and calming down, it occurred to him.
Wait, why am I acting scared? That’s not like me at all! He turned to the principal’s door and felt a dark aura surrounding it. If that scary lady is going to be like that, then so be it! We’ll see who comes out on top, cause two can play it that game!

Adagio of the Enlightened
The Elders will tell you the stories and lore. Of our ancestors, their deeds, and of the foes of yore. They will praise to you the chariot, and how it flew to the stars. How it stole the sun's light and slew the night’s roar. The Shamans will tell you the tales of their wisdom. Their wars on schism, and the unlettered world of ours before. Perhaps they will sing you the songs of what our clans' ancient customs tore. Poems of how our ancestors took what the discs had offered them, the manna and the mundane, and made it more. The kings will tell you of the follies, the sins, and the anecdotes of all our ancestors' wrongs. They will curse to you their names, the Ender of Fate and the Ruined Song. How they had dug up the hearts of the discs, euchred its relics, and blasphemed its prophecies, with oracles withdrawn. But they will only tell you the legends, recount the myths, and sing the allegories washed ashore. The Elders, the Shamans, and the kings can only retell what the storytellers of their own time had voiced. What they have read in books or heard in the minstrels' songs they adore. They don't know what really happened. They were never there. They can't tell you how our ancestors slew the angels from the sky, and sent them back to where they belonged. How they poisoned our minds, and made our people slothful and feeble, with the reforms they had undergone. But I can.I can tell you how the Ender of Fate severed destiny's strings, weakened them, and weaved them to our feeble flesh and souls.I can tell you how the Ruined song razed the heavens with her blood-stained melody, and reshaped our hell into utopia, with the deaths she deplored.Because I was there. I can tell you the truth, with my virtue strong. ----> Disclaimer: This will be a slow-burn, character-driven, non-harem, slice-of-life web novel with cultivation and kingdom-building elements. Tainted Reflections (A Litrpg Portal Apocalypse)
Thirty-five years ago, the world ended. A small subsection of humanity was sent to a brand new world with a game-like system that 'ensured' our survival, and the rest simply disappeared. I fought my way to the upper echelon of levels, made and lost friends over the years, and it finally felt like humanity had carved itself a small foothold in this Godforsaken place. Until one final person died. Until the system reset, and took everything I'd worked so damn hard for with it. I found myself staring at a face I barely recognized as my own, and the Earth began to end once again. Updates every day Monday thru Friday.

Just a Game
“A great corruption is spreading. The people cry out for a savior. For a hero. For YOU! Come join the fight, as the chosen of World Tree! Receive the blessings of the gods, battle fierce monsters, and become the hero you were meant to be, in Arcanum Online!” It was the cheesiest commercial Ethan had ever heard, but the gameplay was enough to draw him - and thousands of others - to the fantasy world of Lazuros. It’s the sort of place that can really draw you in - a huge open world, a deep character customization system, and a feature that makes time pass slower inside the game, extending your limited playtime! It was a little strange, though. As if it was a bit too realistic for a game of swords and sorcery. The NPC’s seemed almost alive, most quests didn’t reset and monsters respawned slowly. Still, for all it’s quirks, it was a good game! Just a game. And nothing more. …right?

Criminal Lord
Terry Isenburg, the greatest assassin who killed thousands of powerful officials and even led an army of people to reform the world had finally killed his final target after many years of suffering and effort. Changing the world was in sight. Until he was betrayed... Although, even in the abyss of death, two choices were placed before Terry. Enter the Trial or Hell? Watch how the man who nearly took over the world now attempts to take over a world of sword, monster, magic, and one hella strong tarantula... I made this story because I always wanted a dark fantasy isekai with a hella fine backstory rather than an idiot being run over as well as having sustainable, epic scenes with a badass main character. All of which I believe my story has. (Although I'm bad at managing levels and experience and I have little imagery since I hate imagery) One other thing, the first volume may be kinda boring/repetitive but I can guarantee loads of badass action in volume 2 so please stick around. (I would also appreciate the views) If you like or dislike the story, please write a comment or review about this story to help me improve, but please don't hate on the story without explaining why. I also hope that you readers share the story to give me more support. Thanks and I hope you enjoy the story. [The cover is something I made poorly but it represents something in chapter 9-10]
