“Is it over?” Haiko asks curiously. As he looks at the smoke-filled area caused by Felice’s attack.

After a while, the smoke clears revealing the Thunder Viper standing. Haiko readies himself, but upon further clearance, he sees that the Thunder Viper was burned to a crisp as part of its face is now missing.

“Geez… glad that’s over…” Haiko laughs contently. “Note to self, don’t make the adult shifting magic loli angry…”

“That would be a wise decision…” Felice replied as she let her staff turn back into Silfy and dusts off her clothes.

Haiko wryly chuckles at Felice’s reply but casts that aside as he focuses on the semi-intact corpse of the Thunder Viper. “Alright, now for the spoils!” Haiko exclaims excitedly.

“Hmm? Spoils?” Felice questions what Haiko just said.

“Mimir, if would you so kindly do what you do?” Haiko looks at Mimir smiling.

“Affirmative” Mimir then deploys his drones, each one going to one section of the dead Thunder Viper.

“My oh my! Now what are you boys doing now…” Felice chuckles excitedly as she watches intently as to what Haiko and Mimir are about to do.

Mimir’s drones all pause as they reach their points, “VOID activate” Mimir autonomously says, and a second later the Mimir’s drones rupture to release a black jagged living matter, in a visual sense it looks like a malicious black matter with tendrils sticking in and out of it.

“Now what could that be? It’s pulsating like it’s alive… fascinating…” Felice murmurs as she watches.

For a brief moment, the black mass drones pause after their transformation, in the next moment black tendrils viciously attached to the dead Thunder Viper. The black mass fully attached itself as black tendrils rapidly envelop the corpse until everything is covered by the black mass.

“So, this is what happened to the corpse of the Evava-thingy” Haiko watches completely fascinated.

“Pretty much, now would you mind raising your hand towards the corpse” Mimir exclaims.

“Okay?” Haiko points his nubs at the black-coated corpse, then at a very violent display, the huge corpse almost like water moves towards Haiko’s tiny hand.

Felice was surprised and somewhat felt fear as to what she sees, “How disturbingly astonishing!” but either way she seems happy.

“…!” Haiko was surprised as the humongous corpse turned into black water like mass that moves towards him to be seemingly absorbed by him, “Gah! My hand feels like a vacuum!” Haiko states as he continues to absorb the black mass.

After absorbing the corpse of the Thunder Viper, Mimir releases a drone as it then prompts the acquired data as Mimir states “New skills acquired”;

Mimir follows up, “New data acquired; Corrupted thunder viper, a thunder viper whose mind and freewill was completely removed by the corruption, now only lives to serve its master that of which whom embedded the corruption on to it” Mimir exclaims and also prompt with a different drone.

Haiko ponders for a moment, taking in the new information. In the meantime, Felice comes over.

“Now what are you looking at there?” Felice asks as she nears Haiko seeing the prompts.

“Well, one prompt shows what new powers I got,” Haiko points at the specific prompt.

“Oh, so this is what you mean by spoils. Again, quite astonishing!” Felice exclaims.

“Yeah, and this one shows the new data we got from it,” Haiko points to the other prompt, “What I understand base on what I’ve read, things seem to be still probably not ok”

Felice reads the data shown by the prompt, “I knew it,”

“Hmm?” Haiko looks at Felice, “Knew what?”

Felice then conjures a 3D hologram of the Thunder Viper from earlier, “Your information states that this Viper is just a pawn, looking at its head we saw a black scar of sorts. I presume that that may be the embedded corruption”

“Yeah, I understand that much” Haiko states.

Felice then disperses her conjuration, “Well if that was a pawn, and there were supposed to be two Thunder Vipers here, don’t you think it’s movements where somewhat like it was scouting us and it kept hissing loudly somehow it looked like it was sending a signal” Felice exclaims.

Haiko’s face fills with worry as he understands the situation, “Oh boy… I wonder where’s the other Viper…” Haiko pauses and ponders anxiously.

Mimir then speaks as he looks at the sky, “Incoming creature, moving fast towards our location”

Haiko and Felice ready themselves up, both back to back looking at every possible point of entry.

The wind suddenly violently breezes as a loud screech emanates the entire area.

“Over there!” Haiko yells, “Felice get that sun spell of yours ready,” Haiko turns into his second form, he then creates a bow and an arrow imbued with a darker type of flame, “I’ll cover you”

“With pleasure” Felice responds with a nod, she then does the same thing from earlier, she closes her eyes as she chants her spell.

“Subject drawing near” Mimir states as he looks at the direction of where the creature will show up.

Haiko and Felice remained composed. A gust of strong wind was coming from one direction, and as the wind settles all seems quiet.

“…” Haiko maintains form as Felice’s spell nearly finishes.

An ear-piercing screech then fills the air as a gigantic size 4-winged black scaled snake-like dragon emerges from the sky.

“Mimir!” Haiko yells as he aims at the winged creature.

Mimir quickly replies, “Corrupted Lindworm; an ancient being born of the corruption of a thunder viper, evolving it into its current form. has the power of corrupted void elemental lightning. has scales that make it highly resistant to all elemental attacks”

“Wait WHAT!?” Haiko yells in disbelief.

At the same time, Felice was able to finish her spell, “To late to back out now, better than doing nothing right!” she then aims up and points at the Lindworm, “Burn!”

Haiko in unison shoots his arrow which splits into explosive arrows, “Gotta love comic weapon ideas!” Haiko grins but shows no confidence.

The Lindworm did not move, it faces the attacks head-on as it approaches.

As Haiko and Felice’s attacks hit, they saw a flurry of violent explosions in the sky, “You think we got it?” Haiko asks.

“I would assume you know the answer to that already Haiko dear” Felice replies as she shields herself up with magic.

“Yeah, I do, I just hoped I was wrong…”

The sky clears revealing an unscathed Lindworm, the creature then roars creating a shockwave. Both Haiko and Felice hold their ground as they begin their fight.

“Round 2! Here we go!” Haiko yell confidently as he puts on a stance.

The Lindworm stands tall above Haiko and Felice, menacingly staring at the two.

“Why isn’t it attacking?” Haiko asks while still aiming his bow at it.

“I believe it’s measuring our strength to its own, it’s quite intelligent” Mimir states.

“Get ready, here it comes!” Felice exclaims.

As Felice says the Lindworm slowly opens its mouth, spewing black lightning. A second later it breathes the black lightning towards Haiko and Felice.

Mimir vanishes back into Haiko as the lightning nears.

Haiko and Felice separately dodge, but to their surprise, the lightning changes direction and homed in on them. Felice blocks it with a magic shield while Haiko uses scale formation at the last second and took the hit, pushing him back from where he stood.

“You okay Haiko dear? did it, ruin your beautiful body?” Felice asks seductively.

Haiko’s arms were smoking from the attack, “Yeah… I’m good…” Haiko replied. “That was… something else…” he says as he notices a change in his scales, “why do my scales look shinier… and? Smoother…?” Haiko asks Mimir.

“Ask again later, I think that thing was just testing you guys” Mimir exclaims.

“Right!” Haiko states as he looks at Felice, “You okay there Felice?”

“No worries here darling, might I suggest you get ready dear, ‘cause our violent guest here is getting serious now” Felice states as she changes her staff into a rapier.

The Lindworm then screeches loudly as it flutters its wings more violently and, in the next moment dives down towards Haiko, to which he dodges by using shadow movement. Felice on the other hand was aimed with a tail whip, which she easily dodges.

Haiko and Felice retaliate back, Haiko creates a hammer and side smack the head of the Lindworm as it lunges at him, stopping it for a brief moment.

Taking that chance, Felice teleports higher up in the air as she slashes her rapier into the wind creating crescent gales made of condensed light that scathes the Lindworm, shedding a few its scales all over the area but hardly showed any sign of being hurt. It hisses in annoyance at Felice as it regrows back its scales.

The fight seemed one-sided as Haiko constantly staggers the Lindworm, all the while Felice relentlessly attacks with her spells and rapier.

“Just don’t give a chance to recover and we got this!” Haiko states, dodging its lightning and physical attacks.

As the fight goes on, the Lindworm constantly takes hit after hit, yet still showed no sign of being tired. Its eyes watching calmly at every action Haiko and Felice take.

As Haiko makes another swing at the Lindworm, this time it manages to dodge it. It quickly looks at Felice, seeing her attacks coming, it uses its wings to disperse the gales and spells.

The Lindworm then increases its speed making Haiko miss again, “Oh boy…” Haiko says as the Lindworm counters with a tail swipe knocking Haiko towards the temple wall. The Lindworm then dodges and uses its wings again to block some of Felice’s attacks, as it moves towards her aiming to bite her.

Felice notices and at the moment the Lindworm lunges, Felice teleports out of the way, “Well aren’t you a toughy…” she cautiously smirks.

Felice then changes her rapier into a whip and begins attacking more violently, the Lindworm on the other hand begins emitting static all over its body, similar to what the Thunder Viper did.

Felice hits the Lindworm’s face as it again lunges at her, wrapping her whip over its head, which made the lindworm increase its static, sending it through the whip and back at Felice, knocking her off to the ground much to her surprise.

The Lindworm hisses at Felice as if mocking her.

“Oh, dear…” Felice stands up, “Careful Haiko, I suggest not hitting it directly, it’s constantly emitting static all over its body!” she explains as she changes her whip into a staff.

“Noted,” Haiko regains his footing as he gets off the temple wall, “Am I getting tired, or is that suddenly got tougher? Just a moment ago I thought we had it” Haiko asks as he creates a different weapon.

“I did say it’s smart” Mimir states.

“Yep, heard you the first time,” Haiko says as he forms two revolvers, “So, let’s try some smarter weapons for a smart enemy” he states as he smiles and preps his two guns.

“I don’t think that will work” Mimir states, looking at Haiko.

“What do you mean?” Haiko asks confused.

Mimir prompts out a diagram of the Lindworm, “As we can see, this thing has just created a static barrier around itself. Technically, if you think about it added to how tough its scales are. Visibly making itself difficult to damage by any physical objects. Specifically, metal, don’t you agree” he says sarcastically.

Haiko sighs, “Good point,” he pouts as he removes his two guns, “So, how do we deal with this one then?”

“I propose we try using this…” Mimir prompts his plan to Haiko.

“I… see…” Haiko beams with a smile.

Meanwhile, Felice has been distracting the Lindworm, both were equally hitting and missing each other, that is until the Lindworm again adapted and gained the upper hand.

The Lindworm screeched as well as simultaneously emitting a shockwave and black lightning.

Felice dodges and guards off the waves of attack, but didn’t expect that the Lindworm would suddenly lunge at her, using the lightning as a distraction.

Felice was able to guard the attack, but the Lindworm easily breaks her magic barrier and knocks her off the air and into the ground. The Lindworm Hisses as it did, mocking Felice.

“Haiko dear, whatever you boys are planning, mind getting to it now would you?” Felice asks as she composes herself.

“I may need to get serious now if this keeps up,” Felice then changes her staff into a small crystal as she teleports out of the way of another barrage from the Lindworm.

“Apologies in advance Vilo…” Felice murmurs as she closes her eyes and begins to cast a spell, the crystal on her hand levitates on her palm. In doing so, her hair seemingly defying gravity and glows exceedingly bright. She then is encompassed in purple light.

Felice opens her eyes, as she did, she raises her right hand with the crystal levitating on her palm, towards the Lindworm. She then closes her hand into a fist, in the same moment, chains begin wrapping around the creature.

Felice with her left hand creates a magic circle, “Apologies, but I don’t have all day to play with you,” she states coolly as she prepares to cast her spell. The Lindworm struggles as it tries to break free, but does show to be breaking its bonds.

Felice sees, and quickly she begins to create a large circular to what looks to be made of glass. “Time to sle—” she stops as she hears Mimir.

“Hold off! That won’t work,” Mimir states interrupting Felice’s cast, confusing her. “It’ll deal a great deal of damage, but it will probably regenerate back up”

Felice still holding down the Lindworm and halfway through her spell, “I see… I presume you boys have a plan?”

Haiko replies, “Just keep it grounded!”

“Are you sure?” Felice asks.

“Positively!” Haiko says as they communicate through the mind link.

Felice doubts for a moment but does so what she was asked. She then cancels her second spell, so that she can use her other hand to create more chains. The Lindworm continues to struggle.

“Wait for my signal, then hit that emo snake with something big!” Haiko explains.

Felice smiles, “Understood, but I suggest you hurry up. These chains won’t last much longer deary.” As Felice says, the Lindworm slowly breaks more chains.

“Oh, don’t worry, it’s coming!” Haiko chuckles.

Felice notices a small tremor as so did the Lindworm, it stops for a moment. As beneath the Lindworm, large black spikes ejected upward piercing through the creature and pinning it to the ground further, surprising it and Felice.

“Felice! do it now!” Haiko yells.

Felice then frees her left hand as she snaps her fingers, large glass spears are formed in the air aimed at the creature. As these projectiles spin, they create a purple flame as they launch towards the Lindworm, effectively removing most of its scale with the help of the wounds caused by the spikes, revealing dark flesh and leaving purple flames over its body, slowing down its regeneration.

“Nice one!” Haiko says as he pops out near the Lindworm using shadow movement now in his tiny 1st form.

“Now… my turn,” Haiko puts his nubs or hands together, and as he separates them, he creates black lightning, “Void Thunder!” yells as he points his hand towards the Lindworm, as he creates a stream of thick black lightning mixing with Felice’s black flame. The Lindworm screeches loudly in pain.

This in turn severely damages the Lindworm, outright destroying most of its scales and leaving it panting and immobile.

“Amazing work Haiko!” Felice exclaims.

“We ain’t done yet,” Haiko smiles like a wolf in a sheep’s pen.

“It’s still pretty lively” Mimir states.

The Lindworm screeches and squirms as it continues to try and escape. But Felice thought ahead and bound the creature once more in thicker chains.

“Either way, it won’t be adapting to this one!” Haiko yells as he casts a barrage of fireballs at the same time continuously launches a stream of thick dark lightning at the creature. A power he just got from the Thunder Viper earlier.

The Lindworm, in desperation, begins to charge up and release another shockwave.

Felice sees this and forms four large glass-like panes around the creature and it expands, fully trapping it within a large glass cube. Stopping anything from coming out, but let’s all the attacks come in.

Haiko smirks, he then takes the moment to stop his fireballs and puts his hands up, infusing dark lightning into the fireballs. As he fully imbues all of them, he slams his hand on the ground at the same time launches his projectiles. As that happens, the spikes erupt into flames as Haiko manipulates them, “Let’s turn up the heat!”

Haiko chuckles, “Now that the meat is cooked… Time to eat!” Haiko excitedly yells, “Now Mimir!”

Mimir sends out his drones, going inside the glass cube, encompassing the Lindworm.

“This will be a bit difficult as it’s still conscious, may I remind you” Mimir explains.

“Noted!” Haiko replies.

Mimir then states, “VOID activate”

The moment after, similar to what happened to the Thunder Viper, Mimir’s drones begin to cover the impaled burning Lindworm in the black matter.

The creature struggled, thrashing and screeching, its wings trying to lift itself off the situation. But with a quick finger slice gesture of Felice, crescent gales cut off the wings. The creature in turn screeched in pain.

As the black matter fully envelopes the Lindworm, Haiko excitedly yells “Felice break the barrier! It’s time to dig in!”

Felice nods and puts her hands crossed together and in a quick motion, separates them which breaks off the glass cube.

Haiko lifts his tiny hands off the ground and aims it towards the Lindworm, a moment later, the creature similar to the Thunder Viper, viciously looks to be liquified and move into Haiko’s tiny hands.

The last thing the Lindworm does was screech loudly as it is fully absorbed into Haiko.

Haiko swings his hand back as he finishes, the spikes all disappear and he exhaustedly yells, “AAAANnnnndd, that’s that!” he then sits down on the ground tired. Mimir recalls back the drones except for two.

One drone prompts, “New skills acquired”;

Mimir explains, “New data acquired; corrupted lindworm; once was a dragon serpent guardian of tombs, turned by the corruption giving it increased power and intelligence in comparison to its normal state”

Felice comes over, “Not bad deary,” she says as she lets her crystal turn back into Silfy, “I got to see something nice, you got… whatever you got, and I didn’t have to level down the area! Quite a win-win we got here!” Felice states with a smile and flicks her hair.

Haiko chuckles tiredly, “Can’t really say we didn’t level the area,” he looks at the coarse field left after the battle with two large creatures.

Felice chuckles, “No matter, I say it’s better this way, helps with the whole report thing I’ll be doing later”. Felice sighs and looks at the prompts.

“So, what’s your plan now sir Haiko?”

Haiko pauses to think, “Hmm… Guess, I should camp for the night” he states as he sees the sun nears to set.

“No plans on playing with these?” Felice points to the prompts.

Haiko shook his hand, “Nah, I’ll do that later, now I’m pretty wiped out from all that fighting” Haiko exclaims as he lay his tiny body flat on the ground. Felice on the other hand continues to look for a bit at the data prompt.

“Need anything?” Mimir asks Felice.

“Nothing yet, thank you for the offer though” Felice winks.

Mimir replies with a prompt “(￣ー￣)ｂ”, he then pulls back the other small drones back into himself.

“So how about you, what’s your plan, Felice?” Haiko asks.

“I plan to write about the things that just happened here at not so far small town I’m staying at,” Felice states as she pets Silfy who nuzzled onto her shoulder.

“Care to join me or would you two would rather go elsewhere?” Felice asks Haiko and Mimir.

“I would prefer to have a roof over our heads rather than stand by a campfire outside,” Mimir exclaims and looks at Haiko, “Don’t you agree?”

Haiko remembers, the night he had to eat poisonous plants for dinner, “We don’t have any money though. I mean what’s the currency used here anyway?” Haiko asks Felice.

Felice sighs, “I should have expected that…” Felice smiles, and with a snap of her finger, she changes her form back to that of a petite girl with a huge backpack at her back.

“I’ll explain as we go, best for us to start walking if we want to get there before the sun sets” Felice states while pulling on the straps of her bag.

Silfy pops on top of the bag, “As I would like to ask a few things from you sir Haiko and sir Mimir”

Haiko smiles and looks at Mimir, “Like we got anything else planned,” Haiko then stands up and changes into his 2nd Form, “Off we go then!”

Mimir replies with a prompt, “(￣ー￣) 7“
