Xiel: HEEEELLLLL YEAH!

A moment later, we were supposed to hand out our exact vengeance on the people who tried to bury us 100 meters deep..

Reus: Now everything's much, much easier. Don't you think, Nyx?

Nyx: Well.. yeah?

Cylo: Nnngh, stop abusing my Guise...

They used her Guise to fly in the air and get to the tower quickly. But, she tired out eventually because soldiers were firing their guns at her wood, causing her to feel like she was being shot as well..

Xiel: Fuck, I totally forgot that she could also get damaged.. well, do we wait for her?

Reus: Waiting isn't going to do us any good, you know.

We stopped at the most approachable place in the city, the Plaza.

Nyx: Talk about timing..

Soldiers rallied up and blocked every escape pathway that we could find. Apparently, they didn't consider us surviving inside, so now they probably took all their soldiers and put them all in one place, which is the place that we are at right now..

Xiel: Damn, there are no hiding spots in this place..

Reus: I mean, we could always use Nyx as a human shield.. But, we're surrounded. So I doubt that will help..

Nyx: Hmmm, this is troublesome.. But not for me. I could always hack and slash my way out of here.

Xiel: Yeah, but what about us?

Nyx: Well, you figure it out.

Reus: Crap, they're closing in..

The plaza is now infested with soldiers who were pointing guns at us.

Xiel: Shit.. all that cloning earlier drained my mana...

Nyx: Wait, you need mana to clone yourself?!

Xiel: Of fucking course, if I didn't, I would've cloned a million of myself seconds ago.

Reus: Same here..

Nyx: What?! You also?!

Reus: No, no, I'm just tired.. The form doesn't use mana, it just drains my stamina..

Nyx: Wait, what? So, our.. wait, your hope all relies on this girl.

Of course, I'm talking about the one unconscious over there. If we can wake her up somehow..

Oh, I guess there's no need.

Cylo: ...wooghh..

Nyx: Hey, you all right?

Cylo: Aughh, it feels like I have a hangover.. like a really bad one..

Nyx: That's nice. Hey, did you refill your mana yet?

Cylo: Oh, uhh.. yeah? Why?

Nyx: Are you fucking blind? Look around us.

Cylo: Oh..

Reus: Are you sure you're ok? We kinda really need you right now..

Cylo: O-oh! Oh ok! Anything!

Xiel: Tsk, let me regain my mana as well..

Reus: Well, we're all in your care.. sorry..

Cylo: N-no, No! It's.. It's fine!

The 2 of them took a quick sigh, and sat down next to the fountain.

Well, you're probably asking what I'm doing.. and I should be helping but.. I slouched down as well, and just watched her wreck all the soldiers.

Cylo: Uhh, why not try to help me?

Nyx: You know, your guise is strong, so I'm just going to be in the way.

Cylo: But you're immortal, right? That's not regeneration from what I see..

Nyx: Well, yeah.. but..

Cylo: Ah, fuck it, ok, just stay there.

"S-STAY BACK!" said a random soldier, aiming a gun at her.

"YOU THREE! STAND UP AND FREEZE!"

But they didn't listen.

The soldiers were surrounding them, yet they were all lax, like this was another fight. Well, for Nyx, it was. This is his second time destroying a city's line of defense.

At this rate, it's going to have the same results.

"Wait..! SHIT! SHE'S... SHE'S THE 4TH HIGHEST, RIGHT?!"

"SHE'S ONE OF THE RANKED SOLDIERS!"

"THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF US! SHE CAN'T TAKE US ALL AT ONCE!"

Cylo: What?

She manifested her wood, and once again, she was covered in it. Then, a pillar appeared below Cylo, bringing her up above in the air.

The wood from the pillar then got absorbed by Cylo. It surrounded her, and it looks like she's being eaten alive by her element. It looked like she was in a cocoon, and a small pillar sticked out, connecting it to the ground.

All the soldiers stopped and looked at the cocoon like state Cylo was in, and were all confused.

Nyx: Hey, mind if we watch as well?

The soldier pointed a gun at Nyx's head.

Nyx: Well, then..

The cocoon rumbled, and rumbled. It seemed like something was going on inside. The cocoon's wood stretched out to the building, making it look like it was hanging.

Then, in a split second..

..

All the soldiers were dead.

..

The wood from the cocoon emerged, and it shaped itself like a blade made out of wood. It then stretched long enough for the soldiers to get impaled. There were a lot that emerged, and impaled more than a hundred soldiers, as if they were meat that has been skewered.

Xiel: Wha-..

The rest of the party were shocked. A second ago, there were still soldiers aiming at their heads. A second later, they were all turned into lumps of flesh.

Even Nyx got impaled.

Nyx: Shit, it didn't even kill me.. damn it, it just hurt..

The blade shaped wood then went back to the cocoon, and the cocoon's wood shell came off, revealing Cylo.

Cylo: Aw crap, did I hit you?

Nyx: How did you even know where the soldiers were?

Cylo revealed that the small pillar that connected her from the ground is a means of detecting who's who, but it didn't really work. So, she also revealed that she saw where we are, and refrained from attacking there. Basically, she just guessed where to hit, but with a method.

Xiel: *Sigh* Ok, ok, its all done, we're all alive.

Reus: Just.. just don't do it again. Please.

Cylo: Y-yeah.. sorry.. I'm sorry..

Nyx: That move also took quite a while.. any more longer, and they'd probably shoot you.

The 4 of them then ran to the Rail Station, or the tower. The place that they started at, was the place they were looking for.

Reus: So.. this is why this place was so heavily fortified?

Nyx: I guess.. but how do they actually supply electricity from here?

The Station Tower is in the middle of the city, which is probably the trademark of this whole city. It makes it more confusing, because as stated, it is in the middle, so how do they get electricity?

That thought was still boggling Nyx, as they proceeded to enter the Station tower.

Nyx: Oh.. so they were still here..?

The piles of bodies that was on the floor were caused by the three of them, and it welcomed them.

Xiel: They still haven't been cleaned.. well, considering what they were doing, I'd say it's normal.

The station was still fully functional. They were still lights, and other mechanisms that seems to be powered by electricity. It doesn't seem like it's been attacked.. well, except for the pile of bodies.

They searched the whole tower, and finally, they found a stairway to another underground building just below the tower.

Nyx: Does the king have a fetish for underground lairs or something? I won't be surprised if every building here has an underground extension.

Cylo: ...There were something like this here?

Nyx: So you didn't know this, either?

Cylo: Nope. None. I just thought it was the Rail Station.

Reus: Well, so did we. But, there's something more than meets the eye, I guess.

Nyx: Why would they need to hide it, though? Wouldn't it be better if they put it above and explain how they get electricity so that the other cities could also produce their own? That would be the start of an industrial revolution..

Xiel: Maybe they don't want to introduce their secret..They'll lose their title of the most advanced in magic if they did.

Nyx: Hmm..

They reached the bottom of the stairway, and what awaited them was a white hall, filled with machines that they actually can't describe. Except Nyx. Nyx knows a lot of things.

There were generators, and they were all fully functional.

Xiel: What.. are these?

Nyx: They're generators. They're the ones that create electricity. But, there's still some processes that they need to do before producing it.

Nyx looked at the sides of the generators. They were connected by tubes.

Xiel: Any.. clues, Nyx?

(They were clueless, of course. This energy production process is common knowledge in Nyx's world, but it wasn't in theirs. What's more confusing is that if I think what I think it means.. then there's a whole possibility that the floor below are the turbines. Then, below that, is the boiler. But.. but where the hell do they get the fuel?)

Reus: Uhh, Nyx?

"Detective" Nyx snapped out of his concentration mode because of Reus.

Reus: Yeah, uhmm, can we go down now? Let's go deeper.

Nyx: Yeah, let's go.

Nyx thought that he could get the answer he was looking for below, and he feels that Vor is connected to this.. somehow.

At the end of the generator-filled room was another stairway going down. They went down the stairway to go to the floor below.

What they saw.. was what Nyx predicted.

There was a straight pathway, and at the end of the pathway was room. A room that wasn't actually a room, but a path. The path connects a stairway that was also going down.

They passed the pathway, and went down below. There was also another bridge below, but the bridge was.. transparent. They knew it was transparent because there was smoke.. or steam, rather, that covered the whole room. It was the boiler room. They looked above, and saw that the path above was actually a bridge. The steam produced was decreased somehow, and they all saw gigantic turbines that were rotating. They were in both sides of the bridge.

The steam then vanished, and so the turbines stopped.

Everything went black. They couldn't see anything so they ran.

Then, everyone heard noises. It sounded like someone was falling, so they went and followed the source of the noise.

They also fell down, because it was the stairway. Something lit up the path.. it was fire. There was another bridge, and fire surrounded it. This is because that water was probably above, and the water is getting boiled, producing steam. They were all amazed, but there was no time, so they went down.

Nyx: Ha...ha...ha...

Xiel: Whooo...

Reus: Why... why.. did we run again? My head still hurts from falling down..

Nyx: Well, I thought someone was here and attacked us.

Xiel: Oh.. sorry, that was me. I tripped.

Cylo: Anyway, does anyone know where we are?

Nyx: The 5th underground floor. I've been keeping track.

Then a huge knock somewhere on the wall was heard.

Nyx: Xiel?!

Xiel: I-it wasn't me!

Reus: It's also not me.

Cylo: Same here.

Using the wall, they moved along the path like a blind man.

???: Shut up!

???: No, I told you, I won't give it to you! It's my time, now!

???: You're seriously annoying!

???: Yeah, Yeah, I know, I won't hurt them.

Nyx: Wait.. wait..

Xiel: Vor?!

Then..

*BOOM*

Something exploded, and fire began to spread.

Nyx: Hey! HEY, VOR! ARE YOU OK?!

There was a sea of fire, and they all went back to the pathway that they ran on.

Fire spreaded fast, and the room was enveloped by it. The only place that the fire didn't spread was the pathway, which apparently was a glass bridge.

???: Why did we even go back to this place...

???: Yeah.. yeah, I know.

???: Yes, I was on the floor above this one earlier.

???: Hey, it's better to keep this city's heritage, and now it's destroyed. Damn it.

In the sea of fire, was a silhoutte of a man. The man kept talking to himself, and they all knew who this man was.

He went out of the sea of fire, and smiled at the people that tried to rescue him.

Vor: ....Oh, hello.

I didn't see you all standing there..
