Gabriel and Carmen came back to the house where they found Mak watching tv, Gabriel glanced at him and made a rude face as he would normally do, Carmen smiled at him...
Gabriel-How can you smile while looking at that?
Mak-Fuck you dude.
Carmen-Can you guys get along for once?
Gabriel-No.
Mak-No.
Carmen-You are partners, you have done so much together, I don't like to see you two argue all the time.
Gabriel-He is ugly.
Mak-I am a goblin, from a human's perspective I am, but you are not a human.
Gabriel-At least I look like one.
Mak-I do too.
Gabriel-When you use Glamour magic that it.
Mak-And yet, I have scored more times while in Glamour than you have at all.
Gabriel-Do you see why?
Carmen blushed as she looked at Gabriel...
Mak-You are stupid mate.
Gabriel-What?
Mak-And blind probably.
Gabriel-What do you mean?
Carmen-Stop it, Mak.
Mak-Fine, it's not like I want to hang out with you two lovebirds anyway, I will go take some sleep.
Carmen blushed again from the comment that Mak did and decided to change the subject...
Carmen-Where is Dr.Kevin?
Mak-Where else? In his lab.
Gabriel-Man, he is a real workaholic, isn't he?
Mak-Compared to you who is sitting on your ass the whole time yeah.
Gabriel-Shut up, it's not like you are doing anything either.
Mak-I have done all the chores in the house while you were out drinking coffee.
Gabriel-You did all the chores because even Kevin doesn't like your stupid face.
Carmen-Come on, stop it.
Mak-He started it.
Carmen-And you continued it.
Mak-I guess you have a point, sorry Gabe.
Carmen-Much better.
Mak-Sorry you are such a loser.
Gabriel-WHERE IS MY FUCKING GUN? I SWEAR I WILL SHOOT THAT LITTLE GOBLIN SHIT.
Mak-I am going to sleep.
Mak run all the way in his room and shut the doors, apparently he made too much fun of Gabriel, despite being carefree he is still a bit afraid of Gabriel's mental health, the sight of his kin being murdered in cold blood and the excitement in the
eyes of Gabriel while shooting them has been etched in his mind, even if he didn't like the other goblins in his tribe and they tried to kill him, he witnessed what Gabriel is capable of when let loose. Carmen went to her room leaving Gabriel all alone in the living room, he didn't want to sleep just yet so he thought about going to the lab to check on Kevin...

Gabriel-Hey doc.
Kevin-Hi Gabe, how did it go?
Gabriel-Boring, we just sat there without talking for about half an hour until Carmen started talking about how to do her hair and what makeup to put on next time. Like I would know any of this stuff.
Kevin-I would comment on how clueless you are Gabe but I have work to do.
Gabriel-What are you doing anyway? Wait, clueless?
Kevin-Your axe arrived earlier...
Gabriel-How do you...
Kevin-Munderic contacted me and told me everything.
Gabriel-He did huh? I was gonna tell you about it.
Kevin-When? By the time you would break something with a huge demon battleaxe?
Gabriel-Munderic said that he would seal it in something.
Kevin-He did, that's what I was working on.
Gabriel-He said to pass some energy into it and then the seal would temporarily break so it would regain its normal shape.
Kevin-He explained that too.
Gabriel-What were you doing working on it then? Don't tell me you have tried to put energy of your own into it.
Kevin-Of course not, I asked Munderic to teach me about infusion.
Gabriel-Infusion?
Kevin-Long story, basically it's the way to make such items as this axe.
Gabriel-Why would you ask Munderic that?
Kevin-I was thinking of making one of these items myself.
Gabriel-Don't you need some kind of...
Kevin-Yes, the dragon scale that Mak had with him, I ordered a shield from the internet, it should arrive tommorow.
Gabriel-A shield? Come on, don't make me use a shield, this isn't the middle ages. I have an Uzi for crying out loud.
Kevin-I want to try this infusion, Mak told me that dragons were immune to elemental attacks.
Gabriel-Elemental attacks?
Kevin-Any kind of the four elements.
Gabriel-That would be useful against those pyromancers.
Kevin-And anything that can use such attacks, you should rest for now, tomorrow I will have you do the infusion.
Gabriel-What?
Kevin-The ritual is simple since I don't prefer to sell my soul to a demon, I will have you be the energy source for that infusion, all you are gonna do is pump energy when I tell you to.
Gabriel-That's it? You are not going to make me read any of this ritual crap right?

Kevin-No, I will do all the work, I just want you to act like a battery.
Gabriel-Great, good night doc.
Kevin-Wait a sec...
Gabriel left the lab before Kevin could finish his sentence, he went to the living room and lied on the couch to sleep, he couldn't stop thinking about what happened during the fight with Eric, who was this voice in his head that took control of his body and generated all this power, that thing didn't have any remorse about killing Eric, he wasn't sure if he could trust this voice, what would happen if he took control again? Will the lives of everyone be in the hands of that thing? This troubled Gabriel, he thought about it for a bit but then he fell asleep on the couch. Morning came by and Kevin woke everyone up...
Gabriel-What's going on?
Kevin-The shield is here, we are going to do this now.
Gabriel-Can't I get some coffee first?
Kevin-We are out of coffee.
Gabriel-What?
Kevin-I drank it all yesterday while I was up.
Gabriel-You haven't slept at all?
Kevin-No.
Gabriel-Something wrong with you.
Kevin-What do you mean?
Gabriel-Forget it, let's go in the lab and be done with it.
Kevin-Oh no, we are not doing this in the lab, it has to be done outside. We will go to the yard, I have everything already prepared.
Gabriel-Ok...
Everyone gathered at the yard where both the shield and the dragon scale were lying on the floor inside a pentagram made of chalk and candles on every edge of it.
Mak-What the hell is all this?
Kevin-That's what Munderic told me to do.
Mak-That's the demonic ritual for infusion. We could have done any other method.
Kevin-I figured since Gabriel has demonic powers we should do it this way.
Mak-I see, you don't wanna mess with anything yourself.
Kevin-I don't understand the principles of magic yet and I don't plan to put my soul at risk for an experiment such as this.
Gabriel-Your soul at risk? What the actual fuck is going on here?
Mak-Relax, what Kevin meant is that in order of humans to gain such power they traded their souls with greater beings...
Gabriel-Oh, fuck it, I am not in the mood to hear your stories, let's be done with it.
Kevin-Ok Gabriel, whenever you are ready I want you to place both hands at the ingredients and push some energy into them.
Gabriel-Got it.
Gabriel touched both the shield and the dragon scale, he closed his eyes and channeled energy into his hands, instantly a strange glow appeared on both items and followed by an incredible heat, the grass in the yard became dry around the
pentagram and the heat spread to the wooden fence surrounding the yard, the heat made burn marks on the wood but it didn't have any effect on the people around it. At some point the glow became even brighter and something changed. There was now only one item lying on the grass, a small piece of material, not nearly enough to make a whole shield...
Kevin-I don't get it, there should be a dragon infused shield as a result.
Gabriel-Did I do something wrong.
Kevin-I don't think so, maybe I did something wrong.
Mak-No, the material used wasn't enough, the product of this infusion is this small shield.
Kevin-But, that's not enought to make a shield.
Mak-So? Find another way to put it to use.
Gabriel-And make what?
Kevin-Maybe a piece of armor. A guantlet!
Mak-That should do it.
Kevin-I will name it...Draconic Guantlet!
Gabriel-(LAME).
The infusion is now complete, the outcome wasn't what Kevin expected but he found a use for it, now Gabriel will have something new in his arsenal and it might prove usefull in any upcoming events...
